its a great video and help the sailors and future sailors to know the lifeboat, some its provisions and procedures in case to use it. that the video be in 360 form is a great tool for known more the lifeboats. i hope more videos with this format

To go to the toilet, you kinda just... get on top of the lifeboat and poop into the ocean-

What is the duration 30 people in this boat could survive(provisioning wise) and distance it can travel?
48-hours to 7-days, depending if you are able to collect rain water, hydration is the most vital resource, in a calm water situation you could travel 180 km, but never the less you wouldn't be in it for more than 4-hours in clear weather or possibly overnight in rough weather. the vessel is fully equipt with communication, emergency alert beacon, heat, medical supplies, even insulin and ativan for panic, there is even an emergency rubber life raft incase this one fails or the capacity is full, but more survivors are in the water, and flotation bodybags for the dead.

I was on a Caribbean cruise one time when in port the adjacent ship to us launched all their lifeboats one on side. They sailed around the harbour for a while then they all returned to the ship. I thought it might be a training session for the crew.
Perhaps show a person sitting so we can see that perspective, and.., are there any portable toilet buckets or?
What is the distance it can travel?
What is the duration of people in this boat could survive?

Hey Jeff, many thanks for the 360 tour of the lifeboat. As a suggestion, if possible, could you please include starting the lifeboat engine (a video or a 360 tour whichever comfortable with you) - Starting the engine, Accelerating, turning, stopping, reversing, and how to check the remaining fuel in the engine, then doing the rowing Manually.
I didn't see a fishing kit in the emergency supplies, how are you expected to fish/cook at sea?

Awesome video ! Love it ! 360 o view is superb ! never knew there are so many life support items in a life boat. Eager to know the ' range ' the lifeboat can cover in full tank of diesel. Also is there a rest room also, for the crew ?

Good question, I would like to know the answer too haha... If the captain is not available I guess someone with the most experience will man the boat!
i think the captain is the last one to leave the ship... that's why he don't man the lifeboat
what captain, if he sunk the ship i doubt it if i was in the lifeboat that i would let him man the lifeboat. not a chance i would expect if he sunk the ship in the first place he would still be in it when it went down, otherwise the ship wouldn't be sunk properly lol

I greatly enjoy your videos of life at sea. I haven't looked at all of them yet but will do so in the near future - a few each day. They are great You obviously spend a lot of time editing and inserting other interesting video clips from movies.
We took a cargo voyage in 2013 on the CMA CGM Jamaica from the US to western Europe (28 days) and are planning another from the US to the western Mediterrainian (49 days) this winter, on the MSC Ilona, I think (if it doesn't change course on us).

hey there.I just want to know is it possible to lower your lifeboat when the ship is blackout? How do you lower the lifeboat when the ship is total blackout with all the crew in it?
