  • Ep 206 Installation of the Winegard Air 360+
We have been struggling with poor tv reception since the first year we started full time travel (back in 2019) because of some low branches we got caught up in in Mackinaw Michigan. We finally decided to replace the old UFO style antenna with a new Wingard Air 360+. It does have gateway internet capability though I decided not to hook that up at this time, I did leave the Gateway wires for easy access in the future if we decide to go that route.
So besides the Winegard Air 360+ we needed a few extra things:
RISTOW (Upgrade Version) RV Roof Sealant Tape, (2*60FT)

Dicor 501LSW-1 Epdm Self-Leveling Lap Sealant
    tinyurl.com/2doh2k9t
Qty 6 - #10 x 1 in Self- Piercing Hex with neoprene washers from any hardware store
And that was about it. Simple swap! The antenna we were replacing was a digital omni directional, so the swap was seamless.
I hope you enjoy this part of our experience..
    Safe Travels!
    Steve, Dawn, and Sierra

Did you hook up the signal amp? My old antenna had an amp with a switch inside to turn it on and off. How do you connact the booster on the Winegard?

I have it connected to the same wiring as the old antenna. So yes it is connected to the internal amp

@@ourroadtocamelot So you used the old booster amp? Does the Winegard not come with its own booster amp?
