Raoul said that household debt to gdp has been declining since 2008. That's really shocking to me since I utilized debt substantialling after 2008, building my housing portfolio but the charts don't lie.

Canada has "done better", in terms of GDP, but GDP/capita in Canada has and continues to plummet. Quality of life has cratered, while cost of living skyrockets for each individual. I would rather live in any other 1st world country than Canada right now, other than maybe the UK.

Raoul Pal is your guy if you want to form your main thesis and understanding of how the world of finance works. He is not your guy if you want to ride a particular cycle and try to exit at the top. He doesn't care about that, he sees bear markets as dips he can buy, he has a longer term outlook than most of people in crypto.

If there is going to be so much appreciation even a little will surely get you a long way. If its an age of abudance then there is no need to try to make that money in these 6 years also. Everyone will be better off. We are already living in an age of abundance. We have a distribution problem. Not a worker shortage. We have lots of workers idling. They also don't find the payment for the job worth it. How do we make a equitable distribution. Obviously socialism doesn't work when there are people who work and then there are people who just idle and then the people who idle get the same pay as the people who work. There are also people who are willing to work yet they do not have the skills and or talent that someone is willing to pay them. We don't have food storage . Again we have a distribution problem. Storage problem. There can be abundance of food in the next town and hunger in this.
What happens to all the humans displaced in the workforce by AI? They just kind of completely skip over the potential for mass civil unrest as they debase the currency at 8% annually while displacing a large contingent of people from having an income.

People borrow more money and are then able buy more stuff thru debt leverage. Thus Increasing GDP
