I have to be weary of his concepts because his timelines and expectations are much different than mine. He's looking at 2030 i'm looking at 2026. also he says exactly what i want to hear (bag confirmation bias) so i just take what he says w/ a grain of salt

Guys, research changes to M1 made in May of 2020. At that time, M1 money supply was changed to include cash, checkable (demand) deposits, and savings. This is the cause of the "big spike that hasn't gone away". For a complete picture of how total supply was affected during COVID, you have to look at M2. That value is full supply, and shows the scope of the supply increase and how it has changed since. tl;dr -- we've decline and are rougly back to the 60 year trendline.
Mentioning this because the section in this podcast on that topic is in error.

How do layer 3's fit into the Ethereum investment thesis? Layer 3's move transactions off layer 2's which means less fee revenue for layer 1? Wouldn't the default assumption be that Ethereum won't be deflationary long term then?
It's not that important how many layers there are as they all settle down to L1.
It’s amazing how many of my friends I told to buy Bitcoin at 2,000 and 8,000 and 20,000 and 40,000 and they all blew me off. I’m tired of talking.

Raoul hasn't made this very easy to understand but damn it he has made me curious enough to get interested in knowing this stuff..I'm going to be so much better off in the next few years.
"This is a lifetime opportunity- don't F this up. Maybe put 30% in Bitcoin, 30% in ethereum, and 30% in Solana, and play with the rest of the 10% trading in the smaller coins." Great advice. Easier said than done though.

4 year cycle has been in traditional markets for 100+ years as far as the data goes back. Liquidity cycle yes, but not caused by 2008.

Sologenic and coreum may not thrive this cycle due to the low flow audience paying attention there but they really are some cool projects!
1:30:18 Kaspa will be the next big winner. Not schilling here just making an informed observation. If is all the things SOL and BTC is combined with DeFi on deck. Once stable coins, DEXs, memcoins, etc hit Kaspa…there will be no reason to use another chain.
10 parallel blocks per second rolling out onto the network programmed in Rust as we speak. PoW, fair launched, and eventually transacting at the speed of the internet itself. The goal is that the latency of the internet itself will be the network latency. You can’t get faster than that.
Kaspa will be the next big trade, Raul.

I love how Raul sees the connection between market and human behavior. And that is what it is! We have been distracted to brake every field of life into parts like they are not effect of each other. But they are! Eveeórything is connected to eveyrthing, its the universal law. And this is what will make a big correction these years! Already started.... More people awaken, more surprises in allocations coming!

Just remember Raoul Pal said Terra Luna earning 20% was basically risk free.
How was he supposed to know the rot that was hidden from everybody. These people make predictions based on a concrete set of assumptions. They may do an overview, but that is opague. They then use standardized tools or ones that have been developed based on the paradigm standards. Thirdly they dig into the history of the creators and behavior of the token. It is what it is. If you cannot stomach the volatility and unpredictability just leave this space or get ulcers. You are responsible for your own decisions.
We should all have the ability to opt out of "their" system to some degree.
Bitcoin is money. How do you make money with Bitcoin, when it already is money?
By trading it for things that go up more than Bitcoin and then trading it back so you increase your Bitcoin stack

Last video I watched he said the space will go to 10Trillion one before that he said 7Trillion now he's at 12Trillion. He did the same last cycle saying ETH would go to 40k.
He not a fortune teller. Most important, DYOR...Do Your Own Research... cycles are cycles. Do your research and get behind major players. Dont take anyone's word as end all, be all. Raoul has a ton of experience in this space, the advice he gives is golden, but you still have to do your own work

Excellent advices from RaoulPal: Get in BTC/ETH/SOL (90% of your Portfolio), Play with 1- maximum 10% of your money for fun (for example with memes and laugh about your losses here), and finally: don't fuck it up (=Hodl your Coins and don't do leverage).
I'm currently at the 30:16 mark and this has been one of my concerns. I hope the premise that interest rates will need to drop for a crypto bull market to explode is not the only catalyst. I believe interest rates will be higher for longer and still believe in crypto growth. Any decrease in rates/increase in "liquidity" will just be a bonus.

I see that Bankless is so busy they miss key Fourth Turning stuff like Raouls interview with Emad on AI. I am lucky that I am across the lot as I have an easy job that lets me self educate. But I remain a fan of Raoul and Bankless as my top two sources. Mat vid pro and Mat Wolf have already done videos on how you can get GPTs to self upgrade GPTs to get pro versions of the same product. So Raoul is way out in front of all this. This is why when you really listen you can hear his Dis ease at where the future is going.

Interesting that Raoul never reflects about censorship-resistance and credible neutrality as the most important part in crypto hence he thinks new fast (centralized) L1s have a chance or are important. And he thinks re-staking is leverage lmao. // I like his thinking around liquidity, cycles, capacity etc but he doesn't understand crypto below the surface level.
He is from Wall Street. He thinks in gains only. Restaking is leveraging risk, so is staking in itself.
If I would hold a million SOL like him I would not stake it as well, its unnessecary risk reward in his case
