Happy 10 years guys! The Challenge will always be a UA-cam classic. The spring back in mono was a proper eye opener & we need more Marks Musings next time👍
My favourite underwater video by far, i found it far more insightful rather than just catching numerous carp no matter what rig / bait. Very refreshing and i hope Marks recovered as he looked beaten up. Thank you Fox 👍
Na it’s a quality rig caught so many on it and on hard lakes! I fish it noodle style like Scott loyd. Perfectly balanced hook bait and big hook is the trick
It’s not in the slightest way inefficient and this sort of thing happens with nearly all rigs. We get done all the time. What I will say is that the blowback function when using fake maize or small balanced hook baits is largely negated. Part of the mechanics involves the fish blowing out a bait and the force actually drives the hook point further home. With a double bottom bait this makes far more sense. Personally for small hookbaits and tight patches of bait a hook ring swivel and bead is my go to, as seen on the 360 in this video.
Great to see you two back with another Challenge what a watch, we all know how canny these bloody creatures are not sure there is any rig that will guarantee a take every time, but the amount of times they pick up and not even any indication and you guys know what you are doing, for the rest of us seeing it on camera is eye opening, omg the frustration these fish cause us but hey I guess that’s why we keep coming back 😮
As always an entertaining and informative video gents. Great to see the underwater footage and learn that you see no indication for a rejected pass at the bait.
Laughing so hard here watching this Challenge, Lots of Info to be taken in, need to rewatch a few times to let the Tips and tricks sink in. Can not wait to talk to Mark Personally in April
Brilliant watch guys probs best underwater I have watched , mark and Harry best duo in fishing by far , congrats on the 10 years but where has them 10 years gone lol Looking forward to the next 10 , well done guys 🎣
Really enjoyable watch. Really liked the fact that Mark left the rig out after it had been picked up by carp and birds making it a real fishing situation 🙌🎣
Mmm well excellent video fox team, gotta say seeing the underwater footage had opened my eyes to what's going on beneath the murky waters.well done and here's to the next 10 years of challenges.👍
Very very interesting, I was always aware of mono stretch but the ferocity of that springback was something else for sure.A lot to take in there guys and like a few lads, have already said it needs to be watched a few times I reckon.
@fox_international was absolutely amazing, loved the banter everything. I can feel a serious underwater coming from you 2 now, where you test your fav rigs and see how they can be tweaked to get more captures !!! With the banter of course 😁
Great film so far, gents halfway through, and i must admit, im shocked how much springback there is hitting clip when we think we're the on spot we might actually not... food for thought
🎉🎉🎉Yeah finely a good underwater video ❤❤where the real footage let be in it loved it good watch a ton of tips and lot off marks musings I love it boys good work❤❤
When fish are moving slowly between baits, I have to wonder whether something like a KD rig where the hook can flail around more wildly relative to the hook bait gives you just a bit more chance of catching the inside of the mouth.
Line aligner old but still a classic goes to show it doesn't need to be over complicated. One thing i do when fishing a snowman type hookbait is pinch a shot below the bottom bait that way it traps it against the pop up and also means it's tighter to the deck and make the hookbait heavier which I believe helps with the hooking.. Works for me anyway
I do love underwater videos find them so interesting.. on the heli set up when he used shorter hooklinks hes success rate went up same for inline leads as its more in contact with the lead. on leadclips i prefer curve hooks an snowman or bottombaits🎣
Yeah that was definitely noticeable, interesting though that mark tended to prefer longer hooklinks as they gave him better hook holds, and when he shortened down he had a hookpull! which is the lesser of two evils? Food for thought
If you think the camera is reflecting the light, could you not spin it 180 love the videos. It gives you a good idea of what the fish are up to. Can I ask what cameras do you use?
@@fox_international exactly my point alls you see in comments is shorten rig but the best performing rig I’ve seen in that long illusion one , loved that video.
Absolutely mega video as always guys, loved it. Just outnof interest would/did Mark ever just think to change the pink for a day? I personally feel a fair few spooked because of the pink.
Repeat The Challenge, but let Mark chose the lead set up and rig?Howevcer he has to change every time he lands a fish…and possibly a different set up on each camera….as long as one component is different….as i just feel a lot of that film was taken up by a rig he wouldn’t fish on a helicopter? That looked tough mind, i felt stressed watching it 🤷♂️ I still think you are an absolute legend Mark 👍 not leg-end…legend ** 💪🏼
Please don’t be mad about my comment but I don’t think/feel this was a real/legitimate challenge, but a great excuse for an underwater Video. Great footage, lots to take away and learn. PS; dear Mark, I saw you emotions, your anger, despair, sadness and doubts, but don’t punish yourself, keep your head high, look and go forward, live and love your life and fishing! Mark, you did Great job and you can be proud of yourself and everything you’ve did in this “ challenge “!
I thought lunging the rod when you hit the clip with mono main line was standard practice? Otherwise it bounces back every time. Also when fishing mono main line at distance it’s far better to fish locked up than free spool, guaranteed more fish landed
hi there, this was far more exaggerated than just moving the rod forward with the lead. We've not seen anyone doing it in open water only for when fishing tight to islands. Reels were locked up due to the proximity to the snag! Tight clutches are always better for sure
Please do! Underwater footage isn’t for everyone, but there is so much to be learnt from it. Mix in Marks usual ramblings and Harry’s hurdles for Mark. It’s a great combo we think 😄
Can I just say I you guy are great. But when you say things like the fish can see the line when then line has been designed to be virtually invisible so is fox line any good
Mark was harsh on his mate, if you watch other companies do it their mates are their to help, ye they laugh but for short periods plus they have all done it and know how it can make you look! Let’s get HARRY on the rods and camera see how he feels being torn apart :)
After recently watching the under water at Horcott lake in the Cotswolds that you did, which was amazing, informative and well presented, I found this a bit disappointing to be honest. It felt like it needed a bit of Tom Maker confidence, charisma and calm manor when explaining things. Mark seems like a really nice guy and is clearly a good angler but he really needs to relax a bit, when things aren’t going your way try and be a bit more positive and try and make something happen. It felt like he moaned or protested about everything, you’re working for fox, they gave you a challenge to get through, do your job, there’s thousands of anglers that wish they were in your position. All that aside, there was still a lot learned throughout the video, thanks for sharing
I’m 1:02 in I watching this I would have used a shorter hook length… with a 4.1/2 ounce weight that would never eject that hook would catch every time?
The amount of fish that were spooked by that pink. I would of definitely changed that they were so cautious when they went to drop in on it. Ok ye gonna few takes but could of had more if you played about with others colours
our divers actually removed a load of other snags that had fallen off the bar and into deeper water, they were huge. We believe the club are looking to have them removed.
Well done. I like the honesty. You were not there to find the perfect rig, bait. It was all about honest fishing in front of cameras. You did do some tweaks. But overall, if you don't know it happens, why would you bring it in. Ducks, swan, and fish had those rigs without a bleep. Something new to work on now. Some more rig tying is going to be done.
I would love to see somebody fishing with underwater cameras trying to improve his rig and hooking rate! Keep believing in something what is not working is not the best way of thinking in my opinion .. I also want to learn what happens when u change some things on the rig! That’s when u learn something of it!! Btw nice content❤️
By a mile, the best under water footage I've seen yet
Thanks, glad you liked it! 😊
100%
10 years of The Challege, that's crazy.. Happy Anniversary, well done and congratulations on a decade of fishing entertainment
Mark's refusal to accept his rig is actually quite inefficient is hilarious... Inside he's hurting having fished this rig for years 😂 Heads fried.
Na it’s a quality rig caught so many on it and on hard lakes! I fish it noodle style like Scott loyd. Perfectly balanced hook bait and big hook is the trick
He's been saying "the carp find it impossible to deal with" for five years. And in fairness, how would he know any different!
@@jimmyboimazarti1234it is not about how many u catch on a rig.. but how many you don’t hook a fish😉
It’s not in the slightest way inefficient and this sort of thing happens with nearly all rigs. We get done all the time. Absolutly unbelievable footage its proper eye opening to see and the chemistry between you both is just great!
He seems like a nice chap that mark chap but oh my he needs to dial down the camo it’s like a kid playing army, great video fox 👍🏻
As always an entertaining and informative video gents. Great to see the underwater footage and learn that you see no indication for a rejected pass at the bait.
Well done Fox and Mark. Personally, these underwater vids stuff your head up but, at least we learnt that diving ducks have no effect on the Carp.
This was such a great watch, these 2 are my fav pair to watch. So much personality and really funny 😂.
Laughing so hard here watching this Challenge, Lots of Info to be taken in, need to rewatch a few times to let the Tips and tricks sink in. Can not wait to talk to Mark Personally in April
Oh look at me I know Mark personally loool😂😂😂
Fantastic underwater footage.
Really opens your eyes.
Cliché of the year definitely.
"You've been done "
Oh all the pairs that film together, in my opinion you to are far the best, i dont even carp fish, but love watching the banter between you two
love that! thanks
I love these challenges. Literally the only reason I watch this channel. Well done guys, love the vids.
Glad to hear it! Thanks 💪

about bloody time. I thought you two had got married and bait boated off into the sunset together.
haha, we promise the next one will be sooner! (in fact we've already filmed it!)
Amazing video! This was fun as always but theres a lot to learn from this, too.
Well done on 10 years lads and great video
Love these challenge videos, I think we can all say we have learned a lot from this video. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Happy 10th anniversary 🎉 great to have the challenge back another great watch and as usual pitchers and charington at their best
A really enjoyable watch, a brilliant laugh too.

Tufftee torch springs to mind 😊
🎉🎉🎉Yeah finely a good underwater video ❤❤where the real footage let be in it loved it good watch a ton of tips and lot off marks musings I love it boys good work❤❤
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it 😊
The inline lead with a short rig is standard over here in the states. Sometimes, it's better to keep it simple.
❤❤ thanks to Mark and Harry for 10 years good content 🎉🎉🎉🎉 goo ahead and "camp-carp's"
Awesome watch guys valuable information can't beat a bit of fish pie 😉 onto the next adventure tightlines look forward to the next video 🎣 👊
Don’t set Mark off again 🤣
Brilliant we really enjoyed this 😀
Thanks so much 😊
Iv been waiting for one of these thanks harry 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hope you enjoyed it! 👍
harry your cup is a health hazzard mate, lol great video lads
Awesome vd fellas 2hrs felt like 30mins,cannot wait to my next session taking inconsideration tactics to deploy after watching vd xxx
That’s what it’s all about! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Brilliant video lads 🤙

Most entertaining .Good job.
The worm bit 😂😂😂 if I had a Strimmer ffs crying 😂

My old syndicate im happy i got my name back down in the summer 😂👍🏻
Have you got a place for next year? I've been on here 2 n half years now love the place.

Having watched a few of these now, it’s clear they spot the pop ups/wafters much easier than bottom baits.
Been waiting for this, been a member here for 2 n half years hopefully be down here next week again for 4 or 5 days.
Lovely place. Best of luck! 🎣
What’s the lake called matey? Looks a lovely venue!
Echt cool ben benieuwd naar het vervolg
My challenge is to get authorisation from my mrs to go angling, wicked underwater footage lads 👍
😂😂
Love to see the same type of video but with a bait boat in stead of casting, to see how the bait lays also the fish reaction

Everyone says shorten the rig but tom maker catches more than most and uses 12” rigs

This is so painful to watch 😭😭 poor Mark 😭😭 glad I'm not the only person who feels like chucking it all in at times 😂😂
😂😂😂
Great vid. Regarding cameras, I know i'm shit at carp fishing so wouldn't want cameras every time showing me how bad my rigs are lol
Best challenge yet, not because we learnt stuff but because you also learnt stuff, more of the same please.
Sonubaits f1 corn with slow sinking ib corn soaked in goo over the top 👌 method feeder with short rig would work wonders in that situation

The most impressive thing is Marks accurate casting
absolutely! at 80 yards, this was very impressive! having to land it in a 2ft square is very hard!
Please don’t be mad about my comment but I don’t think/feel this was a real/legitimate challenge, but a great excuse for an underwater Video. Great footage, lots to take away and learn.

its a different feel perhaps, but absolutely was a challenge to try and pass what Harry set, Mark was unlucky!
question,do you think its possible to catch carp on Nash fishing tackle?
Why the dislike of the KD. Rig
Mark don’t look his normal happy go lucky self hope alls good brother
I thought lunging the rod when you hit the clip with mono main line was standard practice? Otherwise it bounces back every time.

I am actually surprised Mark didn't try out different color baits.
Any luck catching them swans then, Captain Angle?
i used to love watching these challenges. not sure why i found this one so uninteresting. might have to give it a few months then watch it again.
Please do! Underwater footage isn’t for everyone, but there is so much to be learnt from it. Mix in Marks usual ramblings and Harry’s hurdles for Mark. It’s a great combo we think 😄
Come on then, were can we get the jacket ??? Lol
Always think on these you should stike when you get indication on the rods and not the screen.
I’m curious as to why Mark doesn’t have any tubing/leadcore behind the lead? Wouldn’t the rig be more inclined to tangle?
Mark should bot be down. Underwater is hard when you have your best rig and you can do what you like. This challenge with these rigs is super hard.
Can I just say I you guy are great. But when you say things like the fish can see the line when then line has been designed to be virtually invisible so is fox line any good
As mark is getring older he looks like Ritchie McDonald 😂😂😂😂
Omg he is going to love it when he reads that
Quality watch makes you wonder how we ever catch carp 🤔🤔
Mark. Don’t say “let’s get it on the dance floor”! You don’t work for Korda, thank god.
As with a lot of what Mark says that was a little tongue in cheek 😉

SEPARATION.
My one word regarding hook and bait. 👍
Why do i get the impression that these guys have had enough of each other?

That’s fair, because you get to go fishing most weeks and I get cut off a lot and I get out twice a year 😘
😂😂
1:42:35 I'm sure you guys have gone over this footage but this looked like a foul hook, the bait only moves after the Carp dashes off.

So Glad to see the annoying pitchers sulk 😂
A prime example of two sexually frustrated guys going fishing 👍
