Skrillex saw the 'why all my homies hate skrillex' video on youtube and reacted accordingly.
No surprise it was made by a Uk dubstep elitist who hates everything made from like 2010 on. The dude who made the video is the definition of a hipster lol
You guys are just a comedy podcast masquerading as a production channel. 🤣 So entertaining and once again I love the way you guys explain things. 💜💜💜
Amazing accomplishment that Skrillex is using your samples. Congrats, guys.
Episodes like this really stand out. Not a lot of people have the knowledge of the history, the skills to isolate/replicate it, and also a UA-cam platform to share it on. Hope to see more episodes of AI (Audio Investigators)!!
Hellyeah thanks Brendan!
Skrillex using some of your samples is so cool. Must feel surreal for you guys
This was so well curated and researched big ups!
This is so so so deep studied and researched video .....I appreciate the work you guys put in for the producers .... it's inspiring and lot to gain techniques and use them in production with individual taste and modifications.....love it love it !!!
dope video. it's been such a journey watching skrillex evolve throughout the years. i feel like he released a lot of stress putting these out finally, and can move on and continue making more of the dopest, freshest beats on earth lol. can't wait to see what's next you never know
Learned so much from this! Thanks for the analysis! You guys rock!
thank you for material and timestamps. All The BEST!
By far one of the best videos you guys have put out! Can’t wait for gorilla!
Awesome vid 🙏 valuable stuff
Super informative guys!!
great video! love your vibe!
Great video, thanks for this!
Loved the video guys
This channel is CRAZY good. Glad I found you guys, learning a lot
Nice video! You guys are so thorough and respectful ❤
Really insightful video
Love you guys appreciate all those nugs of knowledge ❤
We love you ❤
this is such a dope video
Love this study of Skrill’s work, beautiful collaboration
nice break down!
Love you guys❤
I feel like Sonny has even mentioned it before to surround yourself with people that you resonate with
Dudes, EXCELLENT video! It’s crazy how insightful you guys are with it
❤❤❤
This video made me realise I’m not doing enough in my productions. I used to be a lot more wild but then tamed it down. Felt like Skrillex just kicked my ass in a sports game. Time to practice.
James Brown was influential for sure, though the Amen Break was thanks to The Winstons. Origianlly from the song Amen Brother (1969). Dig how detailed you guys get with your breakdowns btw!
Oh nice fact man!!
@@XLNTSOUND the funky drummer break is from James brown, another classic garage break
James Brown produced Think (About It) with Lyn Collins which is where the think break is from
i was about to say
This is the best best video you have made I can think of. Like, ever. Thank you very much!
Hell yeah!!
Awesome. Content!
How in-depth this video is, is amazing. Great work as usual guys!
Thanks Rasmus!
I will have to check out GG. I have some of your packs, as a drummer I love that you are explaining the evolution of how simple ear candy can bring a whole new flavor to your tracks!
THIS WAS SO FUN TO WATCH
Love your videos,guys!!!
Thank you so much for watching!
loved it, ya'll articulated my thoughts perfectly of my experience of Skrilex's music over the years 👌
love this long videos
Dope fucking video holy shit
dope dope dope!! Merci! ,*
nice video
Nice 1
I'm super happy that you touched Burial 😊👌
This was excellent thanks a lot
You're very welcome!
You guys are my favorite music production youtube channel keep on going bois have learned tons and had a heckalotta fun
We won’t stop ever
You guys are amazing
Making Skrillex Videos since 1 month ❤🧡❤🔥🔥🔥
Really love this video.
Thank you!
I wish you more views!
You guys are so rad
Thanks! So are you!
Love how knowledgeable you guys are! Isn't that burial song hyper dub?
Great video, thank you guys! Also can you do video about fred again and four tet.Their groove is sick too.Especially four tet
This is one of the few channels I come back to these days because the content actually contains hidden gems. I've seen a lot of UA-cam channels in music production - most are garbage unfortunately. Awesome job on consistency in quality content.
Ayeee thank you so much
That was great ! Would like to see same analyses on Noisia 😍
Love this idea
Awesome shout - also would be great with Prodigy. Liam probably the greatest sampling genius who ever lived….
Dope
I’m learning so much here my brain hurts thanks a ton fellas much love❤
Y’all dug so deep that you dunno the amen break was from a Winstons tune?
so funny :D love that content
thats so dope he used ur sounds too!
13:52 the trap drop in agen wida with the timpala/darbuka or whatever it is just tickles my fancy in a way nothing else has. I wish he played it out live. Also I'm pretty sure the drum in Xena is a darbuka if you anyones wondering. And if anyone loves that tribal trap shiet like me check out ICHI. He's unreal
I didn't know what was a darbuka. Now it makes sense! Sonny is a true genius musician and a legend.
Looking forward to Gorilla. What are you using to extract the drum stems? I have RX8 and have been using the Music Rebalance feature. But it does not sound as clean and present as these stems you are playing. Thanks for the content!
There’s so much of Sleepnet (Nik from Noisia) in tears. My favorite from the album
That burial song is still so good
🔥🔥🔥
at 26:00, that part of the beat always reminds me of the beginning off the Cupid Shuffle. Not exactly the same pattern but...just listen to it.
Amazing analysis and a really great resource as a producer, you can come here and get inspired/motivated - you said it about the hats 'he makes you feel lazy as a producer'
the winstons - amen brother
That's incredible as always! Guys can you do a videos how to make a modern breakbeat like BICEP, KAS:ST & how to make Fred Again sound?
This is definitely on our list
LFG BABY🙌🔥
Yooo skrill used your samples? Great video, some of the most knowledgable producers on UA-cam
Gospel Brothers! Absolute Class
luvu 😭
31:51 the rythym is more like Gqom than Jersey. Love everybit of the video.
Its a no brainer to support XLNT, FACTS
Preach :)
Yo guys! I remember that in the drum mixing video yoy made a couple years back you made a sort of cool velocity automation for midi hihats. To use the Skrillex high hat accent technique in Ableton how would yo do it?
Mad hearing santigold mentioned havent heard about her for years
Do one next on notlo's evolution!!!
No better advertising for your sound packs than skrillex using them
I don't know if someone else commented, but if your searching The Amen Brother Breakbeat its by The Winstons NOT James Brown. The main Breakbeat sampled by James Brown (there are numerous ones) is The Funky Drummer featuring Clyde Stubblefield.
Intro drums are fire
You gotta mentoin Dave Taylor's (Switch) influence on Diplo's productions also. Their collab major lazer for example.
This is great, beat surgeons :)
I think you can hear the influence from Noisia as well in his new productions.
amen break is from a song called amen brother by the winstons
At 2023 part ... In Arabic Dabke & Pop Genres specially in (Syria & Lebanon) we use this technique a lot ... making the snare first before the kick and then we quantize the kick & snare as the genre or the vibe & how it sounds
Yall do know Dogs Blood been around since before 2019? I saw them perform live in 2013.
It was such a dope and refreshing set
amazing waiting for the 15th like its the 1st of the month 🥶
So close!
LETS GO!!
what did they use to extract the drums from the songs ?
imagine having your forever idol use the samples you created? - wouldn't that be the singularity of success in music production? - Im so happy 4 u guys
The recess album made me feel inspired to produce music.
This was phenomenal! I would love to have seen you guys dive into In the Ghetto with JBalvin too! He was a feature there as well btw
14:17 are you referring to dogblood being released in 2019? They played live at edc in 2015. I’ve had those songs (playing them as a dj) since then. I’ve always loved break law more than anything.
The personally of these guys is top notch. I'm gonna get their sample pack day one.
Hellyeah baby!!
Drop volume. 1 and 2 is definitely worth it
you guys shoud do the noisia beat evolution, dnb, techno, hiphop +more
How did you guys get these stems?
You guys didn't knew Jack Ü era was produced by Boaz Van de Beatz? It has all his signature in the music
Please Make The Evolution Of Skrillex’s Chord Progression & Melody 2023
Where did these stems originate from? DId ya'll make them?
How do they access these stems?
what in the actual FACK was the intro song?!?! That shit SLAAAAAPS!!! 🗣️🔥 incredible video btw 🙏🏻💙
Cant wait for Gorilla its gonna be Ill ;)
HELL YEAH BABY GOT THE EARLY ONE!!
