@@slaughterking5625 see a therapist, try not to be alone most of the time, block all porn channel in all your gadgets phone and others. If possible stop using your smartphone for a while. Replace your habit with something else you love. Example is music and so on. Also make yourself busy. Whenever you make a mistake to do that, don't feel guilty, pick yourself up and continues following the process above. Finally, always pray to Jehovah to give you strength daily to fight this habits
For me, the biggest financial trap in life, is to buy liabilities, while you don't have assets to cover their cost. Securing them with your paycheck (that is not secure)
At least 65% of our GPD is driven by consumerism. The world is set up to encourage consumerism, borrowing, and working hard to make loan payments. The crucial strife is not between the haves and have-nots. It’s really between the sellers and buyers. It is important to have a product or service that you can sell. That way, a significant part of your energies are focused on selling instead of only buying.
Biggest trap someone can fall, is believing other's life on social media is perfect. You see everyone holidaying, partying and shopping. But in real life most people are under big credit card debts or depression. I fell for it, now I do not care.
Booze, drugs, or overweight trap! I have seen people close to me lose their joy and freedom in these traps years before they pass away too young. As the quote goes, the chains of this trap are too light to feel until they're too heavy to remove. Every inch deeper into this trap takes 10x the effort and desire to reverse it, so get out ASAP! As a person in my 60s, I am amazed how much I can still enjoy hiking, building, walking, marriage, and living because I am free from this horrible trap.
So the trap I would like to speak about I call the "Hoodrat trap". Anyone who grew up in a low income ghetto can tell you that ghetto culture is pervasive and omnipresent in low-income neighbourhoods. Many low-income earners see this skillset as a necessity, and for many that is the case, however over time these traits become a permanent fixture of one's personality. On a personal note when I left the ghetto I was shocked by how the other half lives and now one year later the exact opposite is true. While in the ghetto I was mocked for keeping two jobs, here I am praised for my long hours. While in the ghetto I was mocked for eating cheap foods, here I am praised for my frugality. Even romance is a polar opposite outside the ghetto: while in the ghetto women expect a man who is strong, violent and has lots of money at the same time he doesn't work, in the outside world (and I'm still trying to get used to this one) women like a hardworking, honest man who will stand the test of time. In summary if your are reading this and you think you may be trapped in the hood just remember only you can get yourself out of there. Make a plan, follow through, get out. I lost over $50k selling my house at a loss and the only thing I regret is not getting out of there sooner.
I am so glad to read this because ghetto is a state of mind so avoid the trap because you use the n word doesn't mean your down for the with the trust fund kid in his neck of the woods. Death is better then no liberty. I started a project this a book titled "Ghetto Glacier"I hope you support at Barnes and Noble Amazon. I am so tired of the falsehood of our culture.
"If you want to improve, you must be content to be thought foolish and stupid." -Epictetus This singular quote is the most responsible for giving me the push to buy my first rental property and push past doubt due to negative comments from friends and family.
The denial of addiction trap. While it's easy to identify addictions like smoking or drinking, eating the wrong kind of food, consuming TV serials, or spending time talking too much ...things like that are not seen as addictions...I fell into one of these and had to make lifestyle changes when it caught up with me. Maybe it falls under the letting go of Cheap thrills trap :)
👍,,, I could save a lot of money if I quit smoking and consuming so much caffeine, the 2 hardest things iv ever tried to quit, I haven't been successful yet .
Great video on this very important topic. By following the masses, I would break the losing traps people fall into by the following areas: 1. To do traps- going to concerts, sporting events, bars, clubs traveling, etc. While all of these sound good in name are they really that great of time? That concert of the singer past their prime where you overpay for bad seats, deal with rude crowds to hear music that will never be as the studio version does not seem like a good investment of time or money. In moderation all of these are reasonable but the frequency some people engage in these activities is insane. 2. Time traps- social media, sports, video games, porn, binge watching, etc- Do these activities really make you happy.? 3. Eating- are three large meals a day necessary after your teenage years? 4. Drugs, drinking and smoking- Is damaging your mind/body, sucking away your energy and reducing years of quality life away worth it?
Education should never, never, and I mention it again, never, be underestimated. Education is not for being rich. It builds a great foundation in the brain that one can apply to everything in life and prosper and be a better social individual, the higher the better.
I've been trapped by trap #12 several times over the last twelve years. I don't have a college degree and I'm on my 30´s. Never concluded one. Amazingly, I work at a higher education institution.
The yes trap never saying no means you'll spend most of your time doing what others want, neglecting your own desires. People will start taking advantage of you and will leave you when they get all they can the attachment trap as you grow you will naturally outgrow some of the people in your life, especially if they aren't growing with you. dont be afraid to lose people who stunt your growth
As much as we try to deny it everyone of us falls into one or more of these traps including myself … just know its ok we all human and there is always room for improvement… Thanks Alux for making me more self aware … ❤️
Like always - great video! As far as other traps go -- I definitely fell victim to these two traps before and see others fall for them often: The "Live by the Rules Trap" & the "Doing All Things in Order Trap". There is no one set way to live life and there are no 100% rules to any of it. You can follow whatever standards you want to the letter and still end up unsuccessful (however you define that) and unhappy. So, have principles -- sure -- but don't be limited by them. And when it comes to doing everything in order, what order are you modeling off of? What "normal" defines your order? Do you go to school, graduate, get married, buy a home, have kids, etc.? Or do you get the house when you see that it's a good time to buy on the market. Does pursuing your entrepreneurial dream come before or AFTER you find love? I don't have the answer to this because the point is that - in my eyes - there isn't one. If you wait until the timing is perfect for every little thing, you'll find that you miss a lot of life's golden opportunities and sweet surprises.
Not Staying FOCUSED Trap. I assure this does exist as I have to fight it constantly as a long time serial entrepreneur. We are like kids in a toy store!
@@site_is_down So right Olga and now I know how to do it with my new Killer Instinct studies. Great book by Omar Johnson formerly the CMO for those cool Beats by Dre headphones entitled The Killer Instinct.
A trap I've discovered is mistaking obsession and neurosis for learning and progress. Just because I'm thinking about something (like some goal or cause) all the time doesn't mean I'm learning about it or committed to it.
this really resonates with me, recently had a car buying experience and i "learned" for hours and hours about potential cars to buy, the hours spent was a total waste as I landed in the same place I had originally planned.
Confusion assets with liability. Like a house "you" own but have not paid off yet and live in is not asset. Also car's fall into this trap as well they can turn into currency pits quick witch also touch on your sunken cost. Another big financial trap I see if people going thru life never gaining any skills. I see so much potential in gaining skills. It only takes about 6-9 months of doing a job to have that skill down. No one wants skills they just want a high end job. For me I did tech support for camera manufacturers then sales for door to door cell phones and over the phone sales for camera manufacturer. Then learn more and more about the installation of the cameras and then different between asset and liability. Also internet installation. Currently I'm working on other languages and accounting. Not to mention the other random skills I picked up from doing contact work wile I continue to build my business.
Another banger of a video! An additional trap is the mediocrity trap. Majority of the population have accepted an average lifestyle and it can be extremely tempting to give in. Stay strong, focus on your goals and search high and wide for like minded people. We're rare but I guarantee that you'll find at least one 👍🏿
Thanks a ton to Alux, I always take time to listen the 15 points basically on Self Help and to live a life full of Excitement. Your all vedios are simply Awesome and very very Practical, Your study on Human behavior and Brain which is Evolved with Time is Priceless Thanks and Regards
My traps were buying liabilities, eating the best food that my money could buy in short I was busy decorating the boat instead of fixing the problem. Thanks alux may your company live long
How surprising just this morning, I was telling myself how much of a procrastinator I am. I sure as well fall under the “Plenty of time trap” and with this realization, I am going to work harder to kick this habit out of my life.
I think a prevalent trap today is the 'entitlement trap'. The world owes me a living....someone else will sort it out and do it for me. We need to help children develop self responsibility at a young age!
for me it may be was the planning trap. I used to do lot of planning but never take action or take less. And the second trap is finding the best. I still remember i used to do lot of search for best thing all the time but later i realize there will never be a best thing, the thing is it just have to work for me at the given time and if someday stop working find alternative.
degrees are only valuable if they get you what you want. I began as a culinary student and after a semester got myself a TEFL certificate and switched to Political science. I love meeting foreign people and i like traveling to exotic lands. I also want to marry a foreign woman as I think they are more interesting. With a BA and a TEFL certificate, i can work in just about any nation that I want. It is much better to travel as a teacher than as a US soldier, business person, or government official seeing that I can choose what country I want to go to and no one will be shooting at me when I arrive. It is also nice to have that piece of mind that if the economy of the USA tanks I can always jump ship and find work elsewhere. This is a major reason why I do not want to marry an American woman as she is not likely to want to leave the USA and go live in a Cambodian farming village where there is no hot running water and the houses do not have windows or screen. Basically the best piece of advice is to know what you want and figure out the best way to get it and to always have a plan B. If i cant work in China than Vietnam would be a good alternative as it is basically the same country except they speak a different language
I have a bit of visctim mentality and I am looking a way to overcome it. The reason for that is I got cheated and I can’t let it go if there is any advice for me please let me know I am looking to overcome it
You’re still angry, understandably. You have choices: 1. hold on to the anger and have it hold you back. 2. Let it go, move forward with the lesson learned. If you stay angry at those who cheated you, then they have won. Holding on to anger/resentment, etc, only hurts you, not them.
Thanks guys I have been working on myself ever since. I am working on the negative things in my life. Thanks for all the advice in the next 6 months all will see a great chamge in me cheers
@@navodabeyasinghe8599 if you see everything as a lesson. Just take it that you see the true colours of the ones that have cheated you. You paid a price for a lesson. Its like going to school, real life school, you paid your school fees. Learn from it, and let the lesson make you smarter for your future. God bless!
You can't make a decision without procrastinating first. It's stupid to make a decision without thinking it through. If, for example, you want to pursue a certain career, it's wise to start working in your field of choise for at least a year and then make a decision. Furthermore, you might want to prepare for your journey, which can take time. Certain types of studies ( for example math, computer sience, engeeniering, chemistry, pharmacology) which are worth studying, can't be started without proper preparation. The same is true for any kind of entrepreneurship. You can't just get started. You have to be careful and you need a good financial backround as well as a mentor. A neglected part of the ' just get started' idea is that you have to be healthy. Any sort of health problems can drain your energy, cost a fourtune and prevent you from succeeding. They have to be fixed first.
Degree's are important. I took a sales job to learn how to sell, started businesses and tried to get off the ground; never earning enough to have capital to build the business. If I had gotten a mortgage brokers license right out of high school I would have earned good money for 3 years before that market got weak, I'm not a realtor or car salesperson and the telemarketing jobs I took were crap. I now have a bachelors, I can get a job making $47k/yr easily and put that towards retirement, down payment on a house or starting a business (story of my life.) I'm working on an MBA in finance, if I use it I can be a financial analyst and start at $80k. Not going to college cost me time. I had my suspicions that the market would go bad that combined with not allowing someone to slap a mask on my face and tell me they're protecting me meant that I had to focus on studying. I wish I could have another few years; but I'll just hope Trump gets back in office and then 6 months later the economy will be shockingly better (look at 2020, it was like that scene in Bruce Almighty where the lights go out and he claps to force things better; of course that's where the comparison ends.) I have projects that may bear the fruit I've waited 20 years for, it would have been nice if I had it 20 years ago; but better now than never. I just have to convert assets to cash without taking too bad a hit and I'll be able to day trade and fund an advantage gambling team. My point is that I could have done this sooner if I had a degree at 20-24 rather than waiting and not knowing how some classes would slow me down. Worst part, the bachelors degree I got didn't exist until right before I enrolled; so I would have had to go into a more expensive program if I weren't in my early to mid 30's when I did it.
Id say that one of the worst is the "life sucks" trap. I am 19yo and all i hear from most people older than me is that life sucks because of this and that. The more I build my life up the more I realise that its not true. Those people are just conform, stupid by definition or both.
This trap is very very common and human culture very much encourages it: The TALKING TRAP. Have noticed that when you talk to someone, you completely lose FOCUS on what you're doing? I notice that so much. I've realized that PEOPLE ARE THERE TO DISTRACT YOU FROM YOUR FOCUS. LISTEN MORE, TALK LESS PEOPLE.
I can add that in VISUALIZATION I recently learned from my teach Ryuu Shinohara that you want to literally with ALL senses step into your FUTURE SELF! I have been doing in my meditation and it is INCREDIBLE! I coproduced the largest 007 fan convention in 2003 - SpyFest - on the Queen Mary and I had never heard that about Ian Fleming! By the way video reminded me to get back and FINISH my first novel! 😂
It's painful to see 30-40 year old friends and family stuck living at home unemployed because timing isn't right and "I graduated when it was the financial crisis, and of course Covid, and I'm not lucky like you.., besides, men are in their prime at 50 so I have another 15 years..I can't tell if they're using these excuses to do nothing or it's a real anxiety.
People get comfortable and then don't want to venture out and start something new. Changing your mindset over time can be challenging for anyone. Everyone is different.
You can only challenge and motivate them to do better, so worry about nothing but securing yourself a brighter future or a happy retirement. See you around 😊
A trap is thinking you have to be smart to get ahead. The reality is that most of it is taking action and being consistent. It's like losing weight. You know what you have to do, you just wish you didn't have to do it.
The Age Trap. "I'm too old to follow my dreams/start a business/etc." The other is The Parent Trap. "Once you have kids your dreams are over." Sometimes they go hand in hand.
It may be a benefit to remember the acronym for fear: False Evidence Appearing Real. Dave Ramsey is quoted as saying," Only 5% of what We fear becomes real." I like the other quote from Coach Corry Wayne (on Utube) also: "What We fear the most We attract."
The vice trap. This is a big one, it could be alcohol, could be sex, or even drugs but anything that you run to for instant gratification or to feel good when a crisis or emergencies arise these things lead to an addiction of time and one becomes trap. Living in the past due to a failure or mistake trap. We all have some form of regret but one must learn to move forward. You can't go back; so, learn from the past and move forward, if you don't you become trapped.
That's why, it's important that we know how to control our emotions and to have a good mindset always. We can make up a lot of alibis, but we can never bring back our wasted time doing nothing.
Qualification is what you left with once the education stops.Which education takes place through learning(in school or out school).Am I wrong thinking this way ?Please educate me
Ever since I stumbled in this channel it has been my go to. I wait for Sunday Motivational before going to bed. I admit falling to this traps (dopamine, pride) we can break free from it. I will not be surprise if Happiest Countries will be next 🙂
I have to disagree with the degree part. I got a hard time telling my kids not to go to college and get an education. I know it definitely depends on what field they want to go into, so I’m not against trade schools. But I’m one class away from my degree and I know for a fact that I’d be making more money if I actually had that degree. Once again, I’m not against other avenues but completely trashing a college education is something I can’t get behind.
Trap of 'What others with think' or 'look good' trap Trap of herd mentality (follow everyone else does) also peer pressure trap. These are few of major traps to overcome.
I know that comment will not be popular, but it's still a fact: Getting married. Seriously, when you're a man, what do you get out of marriage? What does being married brings you, in terms or gain, or anything positive? Nothing! 50% of marriage ends in divorce, and 70% of these divorces are filed by women. And I don't have to tell you who loses the most $$$ after break-up. Even if you sign a pre-nup, if she claims she signed it because she felt pressured to, a smart lawyer can get that agreement annulled easily. Why would you spend your life working hard, building a successful life, making sure you have wealth to live comfortable for the rest of your days, and risk losing it all legally?
All of these traps are real. I definitely agree with #12 and #13 Both are so prevalent these days. The only ones winning with #13 are the financial institutions and credit card companies.
Number 8 is a painful truth, and you can ALWAYS choose to move on at any point, so how much longer are you gonna 'think about deciding to change it?'. Just do it!
I've got trapped in my life before. I got scammed by the wrong people who try to offer me a FAKE job and steal my money. I'm not going to put myself in that position again.
Free money can come in different forms. Example, I help people obtain a prescription discount card which pays up to 80% of a person's out of pocket costs on prescribed medication(AND IT'S a FREE resource). Society has to rethink the meaning of "FREE"; NO ONE HAS TO PAY FOR OXYGEN BEFORE HE OR SHE BREATHes IT IN(except a person on a ventilator in an emergency room). In times like these, we need a free resource that could be the breath of fresh air in our lives.
Friends and trying to be like them Wat I mean is fitting into groups One of d worst things u can ever do I did it and i regret it Mostly Teena are into this So beware Coz I have lost it all U r unique on ur own Don't change for someone else
Trading with an expert in the field is the best, have been making a huge returns from my investment since I met Albert he's the one of the best in crypto currency investment.
myth: we have plenty of time truth: life goes by quicker than you think, NTM no ones guaranteed a tomorrow. once you get to being in your mid 20s, years start passing like days.
Trap - not following your own instincts just because no one around you understand it - if you have a dream or idea , follow it research it if necessary - but don’t be afraid to follow what you want to do even if no one else understands.

Then learn more and more about the installation of the cameras and then different between asset and liability. Also internet installation. Currently I'm working on other languages and accounting. Not to mention the other random skills I picked up from doing contact work wile I continue to build my business.
Too many people spend money they haven't earned, to buy things they don't want, to impress people they don't like
I buy what I like and need or want. I'm impressing myself. Let the haters be haters.
i like to call it the "she might like me if i did this" trap one of the biggest traps in my life personnaly
The magic is in the discipline... Thanks ALUX. 🌎 Greetings from Colombia. The Venezuelan immigrant writer 🇻🇪
#1- If you're a man, the marriage trap. Don't get played, and laugh at the suckers who think they know better when they lose their ass.
6:11. Rappers and celebs never go broke. Its just their drama to get more buzz
Thanks a ton to Alux, I always take time to listen the 15 points basically on Self Help and to live a life full of Excitement.
Your all vedios are simply Awesome and very very Practical, Your study on Human behavior and Brain which is Evolved with Time is Priceless
Thanks and Regards
My traps were buying liabilities, eating the best food that my money could buy in short I was busy decorating the boat instead of fixing the problem. Thanks alux may your company live long
How surprising just this morning, I was telling myself how much of a procrastinator I am. I sure as well fall under the “Plenty of time trap” and with this realization, I am going to work harder to kick this habit out of my life.
Woah!
And btw alux your thumbnails are really nice
I think a prevalent trap today is the 'entitlement trap'. The world owes me a living....someone else will sort it out and do it for me. We need to help children develop self responsibility at a young age!
You forgot one, Alux trap this i just don't see myself avoiding soon
Procrastinating on saving for the future. If you say “you only live once,” you’re right in ways you have yet to understand.
for me it may be was the planning trap. I used to do lot of planning but never take action or take less. And the second trap is finding the best. I still remember i used to do lot of search for best thing all the time but later i realize there will never be a best thing, the thing is it just have to work for me at the given time and if someday stop working find alternative.
this is called front end perfectionism. "when i meet x condition, ill finally do this because i cant otherwise"
The Fashion Lifestyle Trap. ✌❤🙏
degrees are only valuable if they get you what you want.
Hey, Alux can you make a video of world's biggest problems human being are facing, like Unemployment, Climate change, Poverty.
Ever since I became an aluxer my life has changed. I am forever grateful to this channel
That' why we're doing this!
The place where future billionaires come to get inspired 😎.
I have a bit of visctim mentality and I am looking a way to overcome it. The reason for that is I got cheated and I can’t let it go if there is any advice for me please let me know I am looking to overcome it
Try again, this time with experience Navod.
People get cheated often. Learn the lesson and don’t get cheated again. Let it go; move on
You’re still angry, understandably.
Thanks to ALux it was one of the most interesting video for me and give me a lot of IDEA
Those people are just conform, stupid by definition or both.
just downloaded the app.. the design is cozy and simple. I love it!
This is mind blowing. Thank you so much Alux. I’m a big fan now.
Thank you so much the video was useful 😊😊
Alux, we love your content, but the number of ads that come up in a 17 minute video is crazy
Not making a choice is a choice. The difference between urgent and important is HUGE.
Indeed Gary
Some good stuff, i come here time to time…..i enjoy seeing things from your point of view.
The Age Trap. "I'm too old to follow my dreams/start a business/etc." The other is The Parent Trap. "Once you have kids your dreams are over." Sometimes they go hand in hand.
I relate to your comment.
I hope and I wish, you don't find yourself lost and settling in one of these traps. We can all do better. Praying for everyone's success 😊
Yes I can relate with everything you comment on. My trap is fear.
It may be a benefit to remember the acronym for fear: False Evidence Appearing Real.
Dave Ramsey is quoted as saying," Only 5% of what We fear becomes real."
I like the other quote from Coach Corry Wayne (on Utube) also: "What We fear the most We attract."
Education trap is real too!
Thank you for this video ⚘the Trap of fake friendship🎭🤡🤥 and boyfriend 🎭🤥🏃♀️
Trap 16. Falling in love with someone who do not understand your dream.
Superb the bitter realities of life
The boney arms of reality
We love Aux, super helpful o😅 my journey, thanks for being the best and stay blessed! Let's go! 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
Love ❤️ the content like always , one ☝️ of the best Chanel on UA-cam 😊
Qualification is what you left with once the education stops.Which education takes place through learning(in school or out school).Am I wrong thinking this way ?Please educate me
Ever since I stumbled in this channel it has been my go to. I wait for Sunday Motivational before going to bed. I admit falling to this traps (dopamine, pride) we can break free from it. I will not be surprise if Happiest Countries will be next 🙂
Thank you Cean for being an Aluxer! It means a lot to be part of your weekly routine.
@@alux Thank you as well.
Would be lovely if Alux made a video about executive dysfunction.
Maybe we will Luana!
Trap of
'What others with think' or 'look good' trap
Trap of herd mentality (follow everyone else does) also peer pressure trap.
These are few of major traps to overcome.
#3. Even in traffic!!!!! But still text while on road thereby slowing down traffic. You all hear that? Stop texting and driving!!!
:o This is my very first comment on your channel. I never imagined I'd get a response.
Text sent. Thanks!
Wonderful Video 🌎 Thanks Alux. Greetings from Colombia. The Venezuelan immigrant writer 🇻🇪
All of these traps are real. I definitely agree with #12 and #13
Both are so prevalent these days.
The only ones winning with #13 are the financial institutions and credit card companies.
Very powerful video🌎 Thanks.
Truely thank you, I Will download the APP nos.
Oh my goodness #7 is definitely me, I got to get myself out there for success

really inspiring!! can I write a short post with your 15 traps to be shared on Linkedin and give you credit?
This is one of your most powerful videos
Number 8 is a painful truth, and you can ALWAYS choose to move on at any point, so how much longer are you gonna 'think about deciding to change it?'. Just do it!
I've got trapped in my life before. I got scammed by the wrong people who try to offer me a FAKE job and steal my money. I'm not going to put myself in that position again.
Never fall into that kind of trap again! I wish you all the best in life 😊
Thank you Alux.....thank you😃
Having kids
Thanks very much 🥰🥰❤❤
Cool video 💥✅🚀
Great video indeed.
The best channel ever💯🤙
Free money can come in different forms. Example, I help people obtain a prescription discount card which pays up to 80% of a person's out of pocket costs on prescribed medication(AND IT'S a FREE resource). Society has to rethink the meaning of "FREE"; NO ONE HAS TO PAY FOR OXYGEN BEFORE HE OR SHE BREATHes IT IN(except a person on a ventilator in an emergency room). In times like these, we need a free resource that could be the breath of fresh air in our lives.
Thanks for everything Alux ❤️

myth: we have plenty of time
truth: life goes by quicker than you think, NTM no ones guaranteed a tomorrow. once you get to being in your mid 20s, years start passing like days.
Trap - not following your own instincts just because no one around you understand it - if you have a dream or idea , follow it research it if necessary - but don’t be afraid to follow what you want to do even if no one else understands.
Mrs Philips is legit and her method works like magic I keep on earning every single week with her new strategy
