Because of the bad economy, prices in the US have been dropping fast so I just picked one up. Loving it so far!! Better than any of the 4 BMW GS models I’ve owned.
i have 1190 S also. it does quite well offroad. no its not an R model but its damn better than a klr650! haha. standing up feels so natural. scraping oversized pegs currently so switching to oem pegs soon to get full lean on michelin road 6 tires. very tempted by new 1290S with full adjustable electronic suspension finally...
I test rode a 1290 before I ended up buying the 1190 in the video, word of warning on the 1290 is that the tank is even wider! I felt like I was trying to give birth to the damn thing. however the power delivery is I'm told, more 'mellow' if that can be believed, so probably more useable off-road for a big machine.
I have a copy of this 2015 model and I think it's phenomenal. Power, versatility and speed. Only a little high for those who only have one meter is sixty. Higher boots provide a solution👌👌👌
It’s a very capable bike, with a LOT of power. It tacked some very rocky trails in Wales and a full day crossing the Moroccan Sahara. Unfortunately things have eventually gone wrong, fuel pump failure being the biggest issue.
@@rustynuts82. Hello again. 14 1190S. I recently had the fuel pump issue. Installed quantum fuel pump and guglatech assembly plus fuel tank filter. Bike running great again strong up to 140mph so far.

Its a great all round bike, does almost anything!

@@stubbzzy310interesting comment about power delivery. Tuner bhpuk has a tune for the 1190 that should smooth everything out and give more power.
