I remember hearing about this on the last lockdown show. The bike setup bit was hysterical. Statham was clearly having so much fun here and it was fun to watch. If you’d had panniers on that would’ve been icing on a hilarious cake. This was so funny, thanks guys.
Al, you’re a bloody legend for not just suggesting this but actually doing it. Okay your honed riding skills (not from BSB but BBB track events 😆) put the boys with their toys to shame! Maybe rather than wasting their money on slicks, tyre warmers and trick parts they should invest in a KTM confectionary dispenser. Thanks again 44Teeth for feeding us with this real world content 😎
I just love the background theme music you guys cook up for these clips. 70's Game show esque stuff just reinforces the silliness of it all, brilliant..

Dunlop Sportmart TT and Metzeler M9RRs have just been made available in sizes to suit this and the V4 Multistrada. Not outright sports tyres but good enough for trackdays for most.
Well done, reminds me of the old days. Love it! The Gxxer rider I beat at the track that day in 1993, threw his helmet against a brick wall he was so pissed! Love , LOVE it!
I loved this! Reminded me of my very first trackday. A guy on a BMW gs with paniers going around the outside of all of us in the novice group on our sportsbikes. We all got scared when we found out he was tacking the paniers off for the 3rd session 😂
The mario-esque sound track is nothing but comedy gold 😂. Had those A41 tyres on my vstrom 650 and couldn't fault them wet or dry. Great tyres, obviously just a bit narrow for track use going by that.
Its so much fun doing this. I used to do the same at Brands Hatch on a Honda Firestorm. Passed many an R1 and Ducati ridden by guys who couldn’t get anywhere near their bikes limit, plus a few who went clean past it and buried themselves in kitty litter. If you pass someone on a fast bike it’s the bike that gets the credit, but pass them on a slow one and it’s all you!

Did a couple of track days on my Cagiva Elefant. Fit street tyres, and adventure bikes make pretty fast road bikes. Memorably, I was having a nice dice with a Ducati 900ss until he dropped it.
As an All-road biker (Honda Transalp / Africa Twin) I've always wondered what the point is of putting the knee down in turns. We're taught to keep appendages on board at all times, whatever happens. Putting out a leg to break a fall especially at higher speed, will guarantee a (serious) injury. Better to fall over and skid (you and the bike will separate immediately), than to have your leg crushed under the bike and possibly getting tangled in a wheel. Moto cross riders do put out a leg, but only when travelling slow and their bikes are relatively light compared to 600-1200 CC all-road motorcycles. Anyways, I've gone in to bends with my Transalp where the bike has leaned over so far that the edge of the sole of my boot scraped the tarmac, and the Transalp is a high bike. I estimate it at 60 degrees. But did that all with my legs and feet firmly clamped against the frame of the bike, with my body straight ont he bike, not leaning over.
Over time I've realized it isn't necessary on road but it does reduce lean angle by changing the center of gravity. On the right bike with the right ergos it just feels nice. The twist of the wrist books go into it more. Fortnine has a video explaining the merits of doing the opposite of leaning off.
You guys sell bikes... Genius! It would honestly make a great commercial for selling a crossover bike for sport bike riders and it says a lot when you're riding it in this scenario.
Reminds me of the day My mate John was passing people at a track day on a Honda Transalp. it was one of the demo fleet at the Honda ride day so no tuning the suspention.
Love me some track days, however, not when it’s wet. Track surface is so unpredictable when wet. Even when I raced competitively I would either skip wet races, or just piddle around the track to obtain a few points and a slightly better grid spot for the next race. Respects to the guys who push in the wet.

In a weird way you just sold a new 23' Suzuki V-Strom 1050 it comes standard with A41's and when they run out I'll spoon on T32's as my one bike does it all and trackday. Save me about $5,000 off the KTM. Not worried about the extra hp because I'm not fast enough to make up the difference yet.

I definitely would be weirded out if I saw an adventure bike on the track, I mean they sure can do the track but.... you're pretty much the only one I ever saw actually doing it. That just means its really crazy, but also kinda funny in its own way.
I remember everyone being shocked when Wayne Gardner came over to Blighty with his sit-up & beg set-up. I remember everyone being shocked when Wayne Gardner came over to Blighty with his sit-up & beg set-up. Although his style did look funny, it was clear he was able to man-hondal the bike better than the clip-on brigade in many instances. Ok it was a Moriwanki Kwack, but he did race a CB1100R back in my Strine home cuntry. Attended endurance race at RAF West Raynham in `81 where one of those CB lumps won. It got through a lot of tyres, unlike the bike I was there to assess and subsequently bought.
Brilliant video cheers I'll give the bridgestones a try were they loads better than the standard Mitas tyres I'm not keen no feel to them cheers Chris
Safety first, First Aid last 🤣🤣🤣 Al ya big legend 🤛🤣
Another great vid - I really enjoyed this one and have wanted to see how the 1290 is on track... Multi Pikes Peak next perhaps? 😉
I've encountered a few adventure bikes on my last track day and they did quite well for themselves. Mind we were in the beginner group and he moved up one after a couple laps.
This is the content i need more of, Good job Nige.
