I peel the paper towel down to one layer and wrap around chipboard scraps and secure with glue. Once dry, I add stuff - glossy accents, UTEE, beads, charms, ink, etc., and then use as fairly lightweight embellishments on my cards. I often pour the leftover shimmer watercolor water over the paper towel, too, to catch that last little bit of shimmer, and it shows up well on the paper towel, also! TFS.

I was floored by the fact that you were able to get a print off of a paper towel. That's amazing!. I love the oranges and reds. You are my favorite crafter. I can hardly wait to see your videos. I love the fact that you use what you have, most of us need to do that as well. You go girl , keep crafting.

Great results with both paper towel and the rope prints. I think I will start printing with the rope first, but instead of glue it onto a stamping block, I will glue it on some thick acetate (package material) and keep the stamp for future stamping.

Wow, Natasha! Such a fun Card. You are so fearless & creative. Your technique reminds me of Eric Carle's illustrations. He's the children's book author of "The Hungry Caterpillar " and many other wonderful kids books. I hope you're familiar with his work. Your kiddos would love his books. But his illustrations were made with household items. Keep playing. Part 2 would be great!

You could coat the string with gesso (can make it with PVA glue and cornstarch). Once it is dry, it wouldn't absorb as much ink. Also, cheap acrylic paint would work as well. Happy Crafting!
