It was lovely to watch you guys enjoy the city while sipping my coffee 😅 As a local, I definitely agree that the Asian side is for the locals and the European side is for the tourists; you can't imagine my surprise every time I go near the T1 tram and see people from every part of the world appreciate the city! For your next trip, I would advise you to visit Kadıköy, Beşiktaş, Nişantaşı, Bebek, and such places on the Asian side of Istanbul. And for Turkey itself, I'd say to start off with Çanakkale to see historical monuments and enjoy a great sea; and then continue on with Alaçatı, Çeşme, and Dikili (İzmir), Bodrum, Fethiye, Marmaris, and Datça (Muğla), Alanya and Kaş (Antalya), Ayvalık (Balıkesir), Kuşadası, and Didim (Aydın) for the best summer experience. You can also hop off to the islands while you're at it. 🩷

I have traveled all over Europe and ive never been to another country where every meal i had has been delicious and im a picky eater. The people are wonderful, the historical sites are wonderful. Everywhere is full of culture and authenticity. For me, no other city can compare to Istanbul. ❤️🤌🏻

Hagia Sophia is not a mosque, I was blessed to have lived in Istanbul when I could visit it as a museum, as it's supposed to be... other than the actual church that it used to somewhen be. Nice video!
It has been, of course a mosque for centuries. Fatih Sultan Mehmet got it in 1453 and we, Turks, use it as WE want respectively to its history. Thanx to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk it has been protected as a museum. But excuse me, neighbor(komşu), we don't need an opinion on how to use a structure that is under our sovereignty. As I said before, whether we make it a museum or a mosque while respecting its history, that's not your business.

I totally agree that it is necessary to spend more time in Istanbul to have the "entire" experience of the city. Last time I only spend 3 days in the city and it was nowhere near enough. I plan to visit 1 week next time. ^^

I have traveled all over Europe and ive never been to another country where every meal i had has been delicious and im a picky eater. The people are wonderful, the historical sites are wonderful. Everywhere is full of culture and authenticity. For me, no other city can compare to Istanbul. ❤️🤌🏻

Hagia Sophia is not a mosque, I was blessed to have lived in Istanbul when I could visit it as a museum, as it's supposed to be... other than the actual church that it used to somewhen be. Nice video!
It has been, of course a mosque for centuries. Fatih Sultan Mehmet got it in 1453 and we, Turks, use it as WE want respectively to its history. Thanx to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk it has been protected as a museum. But excuse me, neighbor(komşu), we don't need an opinion on how to use a structure that is under our sovereignty. As I said before, whether we make it a museum or a mosque while respecting its history, that's not your business.

no bad energy behind this i was born in greece and just wanted to say that hagia sofia was originally a greek orthodox church that was captivated during war and was turned into a mosque as well as instabul it was a part of greece in the past called constantinople the world is ever changing and that’s okay but i thought it would cool for you to hear
