Love it.. I was chuckling at how much fun you were having with this plane. I don't think I've seen you get this excited about any other plane.. Isn't it funny how much fun we can have with these simple, cheap, UMX planes. I love my big 1700mm warbirds and 80mm EDFs, but dang this plane looks like a blast...
I was genuinely surprised at how good this little plane is. Yeah, I've spent a ton more money on bigger planes that do not have the fun factor of this little plane.
I have one of these and I love it! It can handle a great deal of wind 10-15mph. NO JOKING. I had mine flying backwards with safe on an into a 15mph wind, just the other day, Hit the gas and hang on tight! You will be impressed but the high speed and glider speed. Just don't let it get two far away you can lose sight of it in a head on orientation. What a blast! E-Flight hit an out of the park bases loaded home run with this plane.
I maidened mine this past Sunday morning, and was likewise very pleased with how it flies. 13 minute flight on the 300 mAh 3S battery, and that with the keychain camera riding atop the plane. She climbs like a bat out of hell, zips around under power, but will also fly very slow and sedate while gliding. Definitely a keeper!
@@wiredconcepts I have two of the Matecam 808 cameras. They're getting harder to find on Amazon, so I may need to look into other, similar models. I have a lot of videos on my channel taken with the Matecams, and for cheap little cameras (when I bought them), they work surprisingly well.
Eh... it's okay.... lol! Yeah i don't usually react like that to maidens! That is seriously one of the most surprising planes I've flown. You'll like it. It's damn good.
Love your content and knowledge of planes. First video of your channel. I like. Cant wait to see more. Thanks. Great job. I just got my umx conscendo 2 days ago. Cant wait to crash it. Lol. I have the big one but this one is so fast for its size, wow.
This plane is a blast. Did I miss something in the manual about the spoilers/flaperons? The instructions make it seem like you can’t assign this to a switch to change in the air. Also uses the same switch as SAFE. Can you clear this up?
Yeah Spektrum, in my opinion is very confusing and the way they write their manuals doesn't make it any easier. Safe is on ch 5 (or gear) and flaps/spoilers is ch6 or (aux1). You activate it by hitting the safe switch in the manner described but once activated, you change modes with a switch on ch6.
If ur using spektrum, 'wing type' as in ailerons, flaps, 1 aileron. Etc. The rest of us in the world not liking spektrum tx's, we assign a switch n we're done😁🤷♂️
Thanks for the video, I just recently bought one. Haven't flown it yet. Looks like a pretty cool little flyer. Curious, have you heard of any propeller replacements? Although it does look adequately powered. Thx.
65 year old male. I have enjoyed flying model aircraft since the age of 12. Recently I purchased the UMX Consendo powered glider. Fantastic ship for sure! Unfortunately, I had a bit of a crash after a Dumb Thumb pushing through the back side of a rotor. ( I do know better). Ended up tearing off the wing and ripping out all the wires from the wing servos jack. I have finished repairs but for the life of me I can't find the wire configuration of the wing jack anywhere? On line? Nothing Dealer? Nothing. Horizon hobbies won't help either. I am hoping you do me a solid with a snapshot of the jack in question , showing the wire config? To be clear I'm lookin for a close image of the male/female Jack connection between the fuselage and wing servos... Cheers
Mine was delivered today. I don’t have the bigger one, so I’m excited to fly it. How does it compare to the big one? Hearing your excitement almost made me wanna try the bigger one too lol.
Another question, I read that when the light is blue on the model the mode is SAFE, while with red light the mode is AS3X. The thing I noticed is that when the model is in SAFE mode, the control surfaces move quickly and noticeably, while in AS3X mode you can hear the noise but they don't seem to move (unless you they move very little) is this normal in your experience? Thanks for your answer.
Safe mode will limit angles so it will move more. AS3X is wind correction. It will not limit angles and will allow you to go inverted, for example. Also try the same thing but throttle up to about half throttle and throttle back down to zero. Now try the same test. AS3X doesn't really activate until you throttle up at least once. When i first set up a model, i check switch position of the safe switch by turning the model upside down. If the ailerons go one direction then immediatly full the other direction right at level but inverted. That is safe mode. If the ailerons dont do that, it is AS3X mode.
@@all_rc When the plane is in flight with the blue LED on, the surfaces move visibly and as you say it limits movements, for example I can't do loops. However, when the red LED is on, when moving the plane you can hear the noise of the servos but the surfaces do not seem to move, and in flight it allows me to do any maneuver including loops.
The led color status, did you read that in the umx conscendo manual or a different plane? I would always go by what the plane does physically and not by the light colors as eflite has different receivers that may have different color codes. I have never gone by the light colors and always by what the plane does.
On safe mode this just goes up like its going in a loop when I throttle up. I fly the umx p51 voodoo with the same throttle level that one goes striaght. Did i configure it wrong?
With safe off it's fine? You might have a badly calibrated gyro. Nothing you can adjust easily. With the plane on the bench and the fuselage straight and level, does the elevator go up when you turn on safe? It may go up slightly but if it goes up a lot then the gyro isn't properly calibrated. I would return it and get another one.
@@all_rc With the plane on the bench and the fuselage straight and level, the elevator doesn't go up when I turn on safe. I have trimmed it to nose all the way down though.
@all_rc I hated this plane after the first flight, but now I have six batteries and love it. I have flown it in 15 mph wind. The vertical is insane and does not stop. My UMX Radian is probably my favorite for its ability to thermal. I wish the Radian had a brushless motor.

You can assign flaps to a channel as well as spoilers, as well as mixing . Then you just toggle the channel between normal, flaps and spoilers.

Could you do a setup video for this plane using your FrSky?
Thanks for the video, I just recently bought one. Haven't flown it yet. Looks like a pretty cool little flyer. Curious, have you heard of any propeller replacements? Although it does look adequately powered. Thx.
I don't. But then again, I haven't looked because I feel the power is pretty good

It flies very similar to the big one. Big conscendo is a favorite! Fantastic flyer. Look on my site, i did a full review a while back!
Brian Phillips also came up with a new video on the standard crescendo on how to get flapper owns on it as well
Yeah. I've been running flapperons on my Concsendo Evo for a while. It really helps especially for landings
Awesome will it handle a 550 mAh 3s . ? Awesome flight
Probably not. I ran a Spektrum 3s 300mah and its tight. My friend runs a 350mah lectro battery and its a very tight fit.
Sold me on one...🙌
You'll love it!
I went to order sat and already on back order💔💔💔
Double check your local hobby shops. My two local ones ordered 8-16 of them because they are so damn popular.
Horizon got them back in stock! Couldn't get my debt card out quick enough ❤

@@all_rc Ok, thanks, but so the color of the LED is not reliable as a test?
It might be... but I've never looked! I always do a physical test. That way i know exactly what its doing.

This could be called Conscendo GLH!

I heard! One of them had a gps in it and it did 80mph which is what I get with the big concsendo!
