A couple of observations: The Pyrrole Red Light by QOR and the regular Pyrrole Red by Roman Szmal are different pigments, so it's not an apples to apples comparison. RS's Pyrrole Scarlet is PR 255, so that would be a closer comparison. Also, when you said the Phthalo Blue by QOR seemed more cerulean, that's because it was the green shade, and you compared it to the red shade by RS, which is warmer.
These are very pretty colors, though. You're going to love the high chroma set. And Roman Szmal paints are just wonderful all the way around.
(Oh, and I worry for your drink being so close to the paint water! Not for dipping your brush in, but because that water splatters more than you'd think!)

Thank you very much. I see what you mean. I just did a sheet with the pigment info so I can do better comparisons . And your totally right i dipped my brush in my tea and had to toss it . plus i think i rubbed my eye after working with my pans and now it swollen. live and learn ugh . but they are worth it. love them all

I love these. I have the same set that you have and love them just to play with and explore with. I also have found that the pyrolle red, phthalo blue and ultramarine blue were more loose and leveled themselves out almost immediately and the other colors took a few hrs or maybe overnight ( I can't exactly remember) to level out. They re-wet super easily. Also, a suggestion to keep from putting your watercolor brush into whatever drink you may have it to put a lid on the cup. I always use my travel coffee mug and then a taller cup w a lid and straw for cold things. So this was a quick fix for me lol but I do still catch myself going to put my brush towards my coffee cup. Just another question what had made you decide to start watercolor and when did you begin? Just curious. Have a great day!

I agree. It's tempting to start collecting more colors.

Interesting how the schminke Carmine took over the ultra fine.
