Jacqueline have you seen the A. Gallo wooden travel palette? It really is beautiful.

Your channel just showed up in my recommended list… enjoyed seeing the new items! I ordered from the watercolour sale, but am still waiting for my paints to arrive. I bought some QoR paints in June and when I saw they were included in the sale, I had to order more. They’re fun!! I also ordered the smaller shire set of granulating colours and a set of “regular” tubes of Schmincke paint during the sale. My favourite travel brushes are the Escoda Prado, I’m intrigued by the black set you unboxed! We might have similar tastes in supplies, I ordered the Frazer Price brass palette recently (but I immediately wrapped it for my family to give me for Christmas lol). Lovely pochade box at the end… enjoy!!

Hi. Thank you for watching. I think we do have the same taste in supplies. I ordered the same things. Still waiting for the shire. Those looked really nice. I have a page on my site of supplies and a group page linked there for facebook where we do challenges and giveaways. If you like the products I order, that's the paint I do giveaways with . www.jacquelinejax.com/jax-art-journal/recommended-materials-for-watercolor-classes-all-levels

Ohhh that's so awesome that you took my advice and got some Ph Neutral PVA for bookbinding 😁, this is the glue i use, its my favorite and i buy it in GALLONS. It dries very fast, just a heads up. I always make up an 8oz jar with a mix of 50% PH Neutral PVA, with 50% methylcellulose ( wall paper paste ) it slows the drying time by alot, for working on covering the covers with leather, or anything that has some stretch to it, and takes a long time to work on. The methylcellulose basically dries out to almost nothing, leaving the PVA at full strength. Its like like an acrylic retarder, but the glue version 🤣 if you need any more tips on Binding, just shoot me a comment. I replied back to you on that other comment about the Sennelier complete 100 tube wood box set... but its not there for some reason. I got that Sennelier complete 100 tube set from Jacksons art, while I was actually in England for a big Art show in 2019. I physically purchases it at their store lol... but it is on Jacksons Art website. I bought it for about $430 at that time. Prices always fluctuate like crazy with art supplies lol. Here is the link for it

I met the people from Roman Szmal at that show In 2019 as well. That's when I got their little trial set, they were a new company and nobody really knew of them. The Roman Szmal people were very nice, they were the " new kids on the block " at that show. I used those Roman szmal watercolors immediately that night when I got to my Hotel Room. I took it around site seeing, and used it to do some Plein air In my sketchbook. I instantly fell in love with them!! They are pretty much, exactly how I like to make my own watercolor paint. They have tons of granulating pigments, rare pigments that others aren't using anymore, and my favorite... cobalts, lots of cobalts lol. I focus my watercolor paint making in the rare pigments, hard to get and discontinued pigments, historical pigments, semiprecious pigments that i hand make myself, and lots and lots of cobalt! After I had gotten back home, I reached out to Roman Szmal about buying their entire range of paints... and the rest was history 🤣🤣 that Sennelier complete tube set is all 98 of their 98 colors, in 10 ml tubes. You get 2 random duplicates to make it an even 100 tubes... its beyond gorgeous, when you 1st open the huge wooden box, and take in the beautiful eye candy of all the colors!! And the set comes with an AMAZING - Raphael pure Sable brush in size 6 🙂 it's one of my favorite brushes, and I have ALOT of sable brushes. Anyways, I've rambled enough... I can't help geeking out over art supplies, binding supplies, and paper... lots of PAPER!! Hope you have a good one, and that this comment doesn't vanish too 😂

I just used it last night making a sketchbook from Hammaula paper. Seems like it works well and didn't crack.

I used waxed thread to sew my pages but I can't figure out how to bind the signatures together tight enough so I used the glue and stripes to cover it and make it more secure like the first trial. Worked fine.

I have a Q.: would you mind telling me approx. what you paid for that curved wooden Schmincke set? Also have you experimented with taking out the metal holders to add more pans? Jut curious. Thanks...also from TO ☺

I paid 150 Canadian it came with paint and the pan holder comes out easily to add more watercolor which I recommend as the holders are a bit of a pain anyhow. They waste space unless you want to add brushes.
