The switch 2 trailer’s been out for a while now and every youtuber has analysed it to death already. But theres a whole bunch of extra stuff that.. No one else has even considered.
Nintendo loves attention to detail, and while this part of the trailer might just look like it's showing the buttons and sticks moving, I believe there's something deeper. This entire section is basically its own scene, as it's been separated from the rest of the video by a black background.
It starts by showing off the buttons being pressed, then the joy stick being used, and then the joy cons in new straps gliding along the surface. At first glance, this just looks like Nintendos showing the new joy cons in different ways, but many people have pointed out that they seem to be teasing a new feature. Well my friends, i'm here to tell you that they're actually teasing 3 new features, and it's the whole point of this ‘scene’.

It think the c button stands for Computer since there will be a mouse and the switch 2 is as powerful as PS4 so maybe you could use it as a limited computer and console
The “C” BUTTON IS FOR CURSOR. When you use the mouse mode you will click the C button to activate the cursor on screen. I see it just like the Wii where the little hand shows up on screen but this button on S2 lets you turn it on or off so not only can use on flat surfaces but if in hand to drag and drop in games or to click easier onscreen if standing up.
Yeah that was what I was thinking, it’s gotta mean that since you might play with the joycons off the console and you don’t want to use the mouse feature
exactly my thoughts
@@kosuken This prediction is most likely correct
Let me also add .. I’ve been hearing that this C Button feature will be also used for light gun games!!! 🤯 (displaying cross trigger on screen)
@ ahh that would be great!
1:15 "Weeeo-weeeooo." Thank for using the technical term. 😆
😆😆😆
This has to be the best switch 2 analysis ive seen
6:33 THAT'S WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT ..... I literally everytime see people arguing about switch 2 new color pattern, and how it sucks that it's not colorful anymore, but why don't anybody pay attention to the fact that switch got announced with gray controllers too
Ikrrr
The magnets are on both SR and SL. You can see two magnets on the console side corresponding to where SL/SR will attach in the teardown leak
I see the benefits of just going with “Switch 2”, but Im calling it the “Super Nintendo Switch”.
I’m hoping we get a switch 2 pro at some point called “Super Nintendo Switch 2”
Thank god they didn't name it Super Nintendo Switch. It would be Wii U all over again.
Thats smart
No the wii u was sold poorly because they thought it was an add-on because the ad showed only the gamepad and not the console @@edsilva9481
@@edsilva9481 If people could differentiate between the NES and SNES, they could differentiate between the Switch and the "Super Switch"
Touch sensitive trigger sounds actually like something Nintendo would do!
I kind of wish they would've just went with the scroll wheel. It's much more tactile & familiar. Rubbing a solid shoulder button wouldn't feel the same.
@corey2232 I get that but I really don't picture myself playing a normal game and constantly having a scroll wheel instead of my trigger
it's something playstation did first, and then quickly abandoned. only very few games used it and it was meh in the end
I bet the c button is to stream to the dock wirelessly
69th like from me, very nice
I have no idea why but these custom renders just make me feel happy, they all just seems so lively
I've been waiting for your reaction since the trailer dropped.
This is by far the most accurate sounding break down and analysis of the switch 2. Everything you said sounds like it could be legit 💯
Here's one for ya: The top USB C is not just for charging, it's gonna be used for something. How do I know this for certain? Well pay attention to the shape of the places where the joycons snap in. If they just wanted to give people the option to charge things at the top, they could've instead designed the system software to flip the screen upside down if you rotated the screen 180 degrees to use the charger on the top. It would work with the shape of the system and joycons and it wouldn't add anything to the manufacturing cost unlike the additional USB C. But they instead decided to spend money to add a whole additional USB C connector at the top of the system. Now, it could just be for USB C headsets like, but it is definitely designed specifically for additional peripherals.
Why did i think this was official nintendo 😭
The white line.
Uhhh
i think that the “C button” could stand for cursor so that you could switch to it.(i still think that you would have to switch on the mouse mode in game)
Huh, that last one is a pretty smart alternative to that patent. Never even thought about that.
Already saved $1,000 for Switch 2, games & accessories 👌. Oh man, can't wait
if you dont have a gaming pc already i do recommend building one or finding someone to help you build it for 1000 you can get one thats worth your money if your into the large library of pc games
Oh my god I came up with SO many of these myself as well, all the way down to the C button being multifunctional. I’m calling it right now that the C button will quite literally be the “Switch” button, and the key to switch 2 is not just switching what and where you play, but HOW you play as well. Controller? Cursor? Cast? Connect? All of them.
The buttons and the joystick also looked hella suspicious, so I was looking into it as well, and I’m REALLY hoping that they use the “magnetic resistance” joysticks that they patented just a year back. With viscosity controlling joysticks. (You can see more about it on my own video haha)
I really do think there’s merit to the scroll wheel feature, especially since why the heck did they make the first shoulder button so long? Curious if the buttons thing will pan out as well.
I’m so glad you made a video about all of this though, cause I could never do these ideas justice in a video of my own 😅😅
I loveee the swiping on the sensor idea. That’s absolutely brilliant.
Always loving Endo's take, thoroughly explorative with high production value that certainly adds to the immersion.
Touch sensitive shoulder buttons would be incredible for scrolling pages and adjusting volume/brightness.
Such a feature seems a little adventurous, cost-wise, but would, undoubtedly, be integrated into the gaming and navigation experience with epic levels of Nintendo charm.
The Wii had character themed wiimotes. That would be cool for the joy cons
Got nothing to say except that the video presentation is great and very informative
(Also the custom renders are very nice)
Yo this editing is 10/10
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it
8:34 thats all evidence i needed, you are Vsauce's Son
I've no idea how accurate your predictions are, but the touch sensitive shoulder buttons could be really interesting and could potentially replace the need for analogue triggers - I'd say analogue triggers would feel more natural especially in driving games but the shoulders could definitely work
I think this is the year of full Nintendo domination.
A little nit-pick: the buttons and oval are just metallic, not magnetic (I mean ferromagnetic but not permanent magnets). As far as we know the only magnets are on the console themselves. The button on the straps IS a release button for the locking mechanism, the joycon release mechanism has nothing to push off of on the straps themselves, that's what the bottom cut-out is for on the rails, it's to lock into accessories that aren't magnetically attached (like the straps), and the button on the straps just de-latches it. We've also seen the sides of a switch 2 unit with GREY side-rails, so it's not guaranteed that those rails are permanently the blue-red color. Picking up and placing down the joycon is not really a feature of the mouse sensor, they normally turn off after being picked up to not create random inputs, and even if they weren't they're not that accurate, plus this is already entirely possible with just gyro and accelerometer inputs
Love the use "Glide", especially the timing and volume of the brass at 5:51. 😆
Touch-sensitive shoulder buttons would be such a smart way to implement "scroll wheels" The buttons seemed to wrap around more of the controller this time around, so I wonder if that's related. On Sakurai's channel, he talked about scroll wheel buttons before. Maybe he'll finally get his wish!
3:39 "it's been confirmed" needs a lot more backup than a single random reddit comment with 9 up doots
Not any random comment its from NectHandheld, which has proven himself to be very credible
@nahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh777 ok but still, whether rumors have been credible in the past doesn't mean this isn't a rumor. It's been rumored. It has not been confirmed until it has been confirmed
@@mrdudemanguy1231NextHandheld literally leaked real images of the console, Joy-Cons and the Dock. It's pretty easy to take them at their word lol.
@mrdudemanguy1231 i mean yeah in all technicality youre right
Bro, you might be onto something.
The mous wheel shoulder buttons would be crazy.
I'm really digging your ideas.
Wow, apart from the touch sensitive shoulder buttons, everything else you mentioned is exactly what I was thinking
Green and blue is pretty nice together 7:36
I don’t know why it never occurred to people that “C” might just stand for custom button
Fantastic video Endo! You mentioned a lot of things I havent really thought about! Ngl that realization of the sticks and sides of the joycons being permanently blue and orange is slightly disappointing, same with the microphone not being on the joycons themselves. Im sure a lot of games will be played either joycon only or preferably with joycons, I hope Nintendo will allow us to connect a headset at least during TV mode. Also I think for scrolling it would simply just be the analog stick on the joycon, since I think touch sensitive shoulder buttons might be too expensive to engineer and might be slightly overcomplicated for something the analog stick can just do (although it isnt a perfect solution by any means).
I'll say it to the mountains and PRAY nintendo thinks this through about the colours on the joycons not always having blue and orange accents. Because 1. Itll simply look damn stupid, not every colour matches with blue and certainly not orange. 2. Not everyone likes the blue and orange accents as their preferences, like me. I like it objectively and it looks cool, but blue and orange are not my colours and aren't my style so I dont want them on my console personally.
The c button is a cursor button and it switches from three modes, left cursor right cursor and gyro the left cursor right cursor modes are to use the joy-con left or joy-con right as a mouse
Great vid but why would I want squishy buttons??? 😂
Did u not like the wii/ds buttons ?
@EndoUA-cam ik it’s preference but I LOVE clicky controller buttons they feel more expensive and exact idk it’s a sensory thing mushy buttons just aren’t as satisfying for me and can feel cheap I mean like mouse click buttons ig
Fair but I'm always gonna be a huge fan of them high quality clicky pro controller buttons 👌
@Critr8710 i'm with ya there, the whole reason i NEVER used the pro controller and ALWAYS used the joycons was solely bc i enjoyed the snappy buttons a lot more, feels more responsive, somehow... (i also can't really place it!)
@@itsjustcullin yoooooo love ur vids bro u funny as hell W opinion
Imagine having to buy a new joycon because the tuchsensor on the shoulder buttons stopped working
If you wanna use the built-in mic for voicechat, while in docked mode, that's fine.
The problem is: that microphone is right next to your TV's speakers, so while it would pick up your voice, it would also pick up the game's audio and your friend's voice and their game's audio, nonstop echoeing so it is my FAVORITE definition of *not good* -Scott Daniel Woziniak.
Dude love your videos ❤
I would hate it if the switch 2 all had the default blue and orange accents to their system and joycon. Nintendo has been flopping at their color choices, even on the switch 1
I presume the magnetic strap accesory would have some sort of moquette part, because using it as a mouse when the surface is plastic might most likely scratch depending on the surface
my red blue and white joycons was discolored so, black is always a good thing for me
Finally! I thought Endo would make a video like this when it came out. Turns out we was just doing his thing.
I think they would change the colour of the actual joy con, replacing the black basically.
This pick up and out down thing seems like something that would be used in a new WarioWare.
Quite an interesting analysis! I'm just hyped for the Switch 2 honestly, I can't wait for them to show us more about it in the upcoming Nintendo Direct for it!
7:40 surely they would have multiple console colour skews too - ie another variant gold and purple, with the connectors on the console being gold and purple
Mechanical buttons.
They last longer.
I think C stands for Click, fits the whole mouse theme.
Imagine if that second SKU is a version where the colours on the joy cons are inverted, so the bits that are currently blue/orange are black and the main bodies of them are blue/orange.
That would blow my mind. I’ve also heard that one SKU may be a game bundle and the other may be console only.
@@LeonSKennedy7777 I would love to see the bundled game come w/ a physical copy, but knowing what bundles are like these days it could just be preinstalled on the system.
Great info in this video. For those of us that only use this through the tv and almost zero percent mobile, is it worth it to wait for the Switch 2. Seems like Switch would be fine.
I hope the triggers are capacitive, it could greatly enhance gyro aiming and Wiimote-like pointing. A handheld/console shouldn't be dependent on a desk-based pointer.
The LR button is longer, so it seems likely that's the touch sensitive trigger. If that's true, it would make the Joy-Con more valuable and i love it!
The Context Sensitive Button from Conker
C button might stand for custom. Also I don’t think the colours for the switch 2 will all have teal and salmon accents, I think they will all be black and you can choose different accent colours
Nah dawg the mouse sensor thing could be a replacement for IR sensors
maybe the „c-button“ only activates the Mouse Mode or something
Apparently Nintendo will have adaptive analogue stick the can chance resistance depending on what surface your character is walking or running on and they have recently patented this technology so I believe it’s in the switch 2 it’s like Sony’s adaptive triggers but on the analogue sticks as no has actually played the finalised system so this is why I believe this feature has been kept secret
C Button Stands for „cursor” to change the joycon into a mouse.
Castlevania: Aura of Holy Might (5 Previews Out Now - Launches 2/3/2025)
Ill come back when it released
5:23 it’s not an extra button, it’s basically LB or L2 or L
Endo uploaded lets go🥳
I dont think the Switch 2 has an inherent colour pattern, joycons on the Switch also contain the data of what colour they are - so that can reflect in games or in animations on the switch.
So I think the joycon colours will end up as varied as they did on the original switch. No inherent need for particular colour schemes
I understand the logic, but Nintendo would be leaving money on the table if they switched to a permanent colour scheme
Cursor mode .
This could activate the touch sensor in the bumpers.
I hope the Switch 2 can stream to the TV instead of having to always dock it. This way dual screen games can be ported like some DS, 3DS and Wii U games.
That will be switch 3 gimmick
I think the extra button is a new voice assistant like the PlayStation and Xbox have
the eject pin might just be a sync button
do a video about how ZERO youtubers discuss potential analogue or even adaptive triggers...
Maybe it's "click mode" for the mouse feature
It’s a hold to chat button
C button:
Cursor or Custom? Which is more likely
Great vid man, subscribed
There was also a c joystick on the gamecube controller, idk if it has anything to do with this one but...
Just a R stick
my fAvOrItE time between announcement and launch is when every day there's 30 different youtubers posting "10 things you didn't notice about this trailer that's already been scrutinized to death" "Will Switch 2 games perform better?" "Switch 2 already sucks" "Nintendo reportedly developing remake of one of their popular games" "Why Nintendo is dying" "Switch 2 will be the best console ever because of purely speculative opinions"
_Casting button_
Enables you to cast your switch to the TV or monitor that your dock (or Nintendo casting device) is connected to.
Provides a second screen for 3ds online and similar WiiU functions.
Some say the new c button is linked to the secret NSO playtest that happened last year
Big advocate for touch sensitive shoulder buttons!
i would love a mouse mode for the joy-cons, could mean a possible Mario Paint remaster?
Finally! An endo video!
Your videos are so high quality
I just want analog triggers for racing games
3:41 this makes no sense, it would require magnets to be put in every joycon accessory
So they'll just add magnets then? The rail system didn't stop them from adding rails to every joycon accessories for the first switch, what's gonna stop them from adding magnets?
That or they'll use the latch system for the new straps. But I'm willing to bet magnets arent that relatively expensive and difficult to add.
@@EnygmaV magnets are a lot more expensive than plastic rails. It would make much more sense to have magnets in the joycon and metal on the accessories instead of the other way around, you wont have to open the switch to replace magnets when they get old, just replace joycons
I mainly want Screen Recording as good as PlayStation and Microsoft's with the same share capabilities, not the 30 second rewind thing..
Im already sold! Can't wait for the Switch 2 🥰
Maybe a a change button that change you to Kamen rider blue and Red
I hope there’s a new UI because the old UI it just shows the games and it shows on the bottom settings and all that I hope there’s a new UI that looks super cooler
*Will the dock have rubber to avoid screen scratch when docking the console?*
can't wait to buy the controller for my PC. It's like a 2 in 1, I have a mouse and a controller
I'm just surprised (and a bit disappointed) they didn't do much to change the ergonomics of the joycons. They're not exactly comfortable, mostly just flat with small curve at the top.
And using the new joycons as a mouse would be really uncomfortable unless there's an attachment to make it better fit that position. They'll have to have an attachment, right?
I’m a handle console gamer and I have 2 3ds one original one new and I believe the c button is actually a c stick like on the new 3ds and they might add more consoles to switch online
I don't think its a c button at all. I think its a mouse trackpad that way you can still use the mouse function while the joycons are still connected. The Lenovo legion go S model has a small trackpad and i think that's that the so called c button actually is.
Do you think you could still use the switch controllers with the switch 2?
Yes
4:11 Probably just the sync button.
That C button is way to out of the way to be anything more than a chat button
I'm so thirsty for Nintendo content and this is perfect for now!!! Really looking forward to the April Switch 2 Direct and the potential February Switch 1 Direct!!!
3:25 …That may be a Y screw
C button is probably a camera
I think its "cursor" button cause obviously mouse mode.
Here’s a message TO your sponsor: I am not buying anything from them. Thank you and goodbye.
I was wondering why the top usb is slightly angled thinking maybe it's that way for add ons then I realised it's probably purely so U don't dock it upside down.
7:30 .... or they'll just invert the colours, making the joy-cons blue and red with black accents instead
Endo u brilliant lad
Those people are slow. To me I love the black color and little color. To me it looks more expensive and less toy like. 😅
