Joe, this is one time when being a "celebrity" has its benefits. Put Gypsy's story out to your local tv and paper. Get her back where she belongs. Good luck.
Agreed
great idea
Good ideal.
Good idea
this is so true, me and my coworkers (retail) once discovered a kidnapped puppy because the owners were posting about it all over social media.
You need to alert every veterinarian within 100 miles of this and describe your dog and give them the chip ID. You have nothing to lose but a little more time. Sooner or later she’s gonna show up.
Seconding this to hold onto hope for Gypsy. It’s so wrong for them to have taken her and they need to return her to you.
I totally agree. I would go 200 miles.
YES, thank you, came here to comment the same thing. Might be a year or 2, but eventually (hopefully) they will go to the vet for shots or whatever and this can be resolved.
THIS
Let’s hope he somehow finds Gypsy, but in the mean time, the ratting has to continue. Hopefully, Gypsy is being well fed at least.
Don’t give up on Gypsy so fast, advertise on the radio, Facebook, anything that’s local. It’s got to be better than training a new dog. Especially posters at that golf coarse or park!
"So fast"? he said multiple times in the video that this happened awhile ago and was waiting to post about it. At some point it is best to come to terms with the situation and move on and not get your hopes up with every noise you hear outside or every time your phone rings. He has a business to run so that does factor into this as well. Shes chipped so there is hope she can be returned one day.
Oh man, what a huge bummer. Stealing a hunting dog and removing its collar is a felony here. I'm so sorry.
People who steal pets are lower than low. Gypsy had an enriched life as a working dog, and now she's going to be locked away in someone's home, so they don't get caught with her, where she'll be bored to tears. The thief has no regard for the dog's quality of life at all. So incredibly selfish!
That’s if she’s going to be kept as a pet and not used as a bait dog for blood sport…
🙄
@@asleepyb0i400 Not a kind thing to say when someone is missing a pet. We know it happens, but we don't say it
@d-padqueen1103
You have something to say about my ‘unkind’ comment when the reply right below me really went “🙄” at a genuine comment?? Make it make sense
I am so sorry for your loss. My friend breeds hunting beagles and this happens to him a lot. Someone saw him working one of his dogs and came by later and stole her from the yard. She had young nursing puppies too. Cruel and heartless people. Another beagle was stolen during a hunt. He had a tracking collar on it. But the thief's friend recognized the dog and brought it back.
People are such skumbags..it just never ceases to amaze me how sick they can be. I have no respect for thieves and liars, much less those doing worse things.
I just don’t understand why someone would steal Gypsy?
@@Ambelica Breeding. She's a purebred and she wasn't spayed
The crazy thing is they think there “saving” the dog
Oh no, not Gypsy 😭😭😭😭😭 I had a sinking feeling when I saw the video title. Sending love and support to you Joe ❤❤❤❤
I don’t think the people commenting realize this situation has already been going on for 2 months. The likelihood of Joe seeing Gypsy again is slim to none, sadly. Only a truly terrible person would do such a thing, I’m sorry for your loss.
This!!
I would definitely still put the news out there in your local areas as much as possible. The more time goes on, the more likely a dog thief will become more comfortable walking the dog out in public, taking it to a vet, etc. The more people that know about her, the more likely someone will possibly recognize her and call sightings in, which can lead to tracking the person down.
There have been SO many instances of stolen dogs being brought back home simply because a stranger recognized them being walked out in public. Definitely don’t give up entirely.
I've had my dog get out of my yard a few years back & animal control actually had her. Shes chipped, animal control didn't even bother to try to read for a chip for the 3 days they had her. If you haven’t already might be a good idea to take a trip to your local stray animal shelter and double check. All we can do is hope that one day Gypsy's chip gets read and she’s returned. So sorry to hear about this Joe! Sending hugs
I feel like sometimes they wish to keep them. AC had my pit and when I called from states away they told me my description was wrong and that my boy had to be only 2. Sent my dad and it was in fact him!
Im sorry to hear that Joe..
Worst nightmare out ther So many people think that they're doing better by taking dogs away. Especially some of the animals rights activists. They see a dog that has scars around its muzzle. And they think it's abused not that it's enjoying its job.
How sad and horrible. My friend has a GPS device implanted in his dogs. I think that is the way to go. I'm sorry for your loss.
I felt so sorry for your lost , first Shuri , than Boss and now Gypsy , they were such a amazing dogs , and have great lider like you , my fav performace of Gypsy was in that little shed with 512 rats , she was the best between all your dogs
Was my favorite.
Joe had a wonderful fierce mink Washushe stolen, or 'released' some years back too. People suck.
Although not a dog, but also Joe also lost Boone not too long ago as well. Just a random set unfortunate situations
You forgot about Onsa
Onsa was probably the best
I’m so sorry that this happened. I hope you can find Gypsy again and the people who stole her get arrested for theft
OMG!!! 😢 That’s SO wrong on so many levels!!! But don’t give up
Put up a cash reward and they might take the bait.
Animal thieves steal animals and want shut of them as quick as possible, usually advertise a dog with a sob story they can't keep it, steal a random dog that vaguely matches their description, take the cash and leave.
Joe, that is so sad. Some people are so disgusting.
I'm sorry to hear this bad news.
That is gut wrenching to hear... Some people just have no shame.
People suck. Make as much noise as possible, try to get local news involved, poster crews etc. Someone will notice a neighbor with a sudden new dog they are trying to hide. You will get her back, I am confident!
I agree make some noise let the whole city or state know 😢 this should be brought to the tv stations
I stopped everything when I read Gypsy's name. Thinking of you and the family, she is smart, animals can be gone for a long time and still return.
Once again, very sorry Carter family about your losing another dog. Gypsy was a passionate hunter and a lot of fun to watch. Thank you Gypsy.
Appreciate you updating us joe, I'm so sorry to hear about Gypsy and the cruelty in some people's hearts. May she at the very least be taken care of with whomever she is with now.
Sad ! Sooo sorry , I had my hi dollar lab stolen ! Had him in my kennel with a leash latch on the gate latch because he would open it with his nose. The leash latch was hooked on the fence and the gate was closed !! Of course he was chipped but you know if a person is going to steal your dog they’re not going to bring them to the vet !! I hope gypsy is found for you brother !!
I’m sorry to hear about Gypsy :( if I could make a suggestion for a good working dog, check out various feist breeds. I have a mountain feist and he’s got INSANE prey drive. Very smart, athletic, and basically made of rubber
That sucks hopefully u get her back safe
How terrible. I'm so sorry Joe. I hope gypsy at least is with someone who will treat her well but still. That's infuriating.
If someone is willing to steal your dog .. leave the collar where they found it and not check for a chip.. they are not good people..
@@mcoupe69 never said they were good people. But I hope they will at least treat gypsy well.
I am so sorry! I agree with alerting every vet in the area and beyond! Also post in as many social media pages and someone might come forward.
Poor Gypsy! I remember looking for my dogs when they got out while we were on vacation. I was distraught. I got them back from the people who had them. I hope you have the same luck! Im so sorry!
Nope they took off his collar for a reason
@@b-bopeddie1290 I'm aware. I can still send positivity his way!
I’m so sorry to hear about this. Gypsy was one of my favorites ❤️
Oh man. That really sucks ! Gypsy was one of my absolute favorites to watch ratting. 😢 I would definitely be watching out for vets and shelters, she would be a prime candidate for dog fighting unfortunately… she has the game -bred physique and is in excellent shape. People who dog fight ONLY see them as money. Incredibly sad , I remember when you first got Gypsy and I had some doubts how well she would do with other dogs , I was amazed to see your dedication to her and her natural talent !
DONT give up looking for her , it’s been a few months , but she could still be in the area. Sometimes even hanging up posters in less than ideal neighborhoods can help! NOONE likes dog fighters except dog fighters , and might’ve seen her and not said anything over fear of being attacked
that was my concern to, or even using her as a bait dog. doesnt bear thinking about it... just awful
Some people suck! Sorry for your loss
Only the lowest of people steal someone else’s dog. Despicable!
Sorry for you loss. That is a sad way of losing a dog. Had that happen to me. People always think they will not miss them or don't care.
I hope she returns in good health 🤞🏼
I'm so sorry Joe, if she comes back pick up some air tags put them on there collars, just another layer of protection or see if there's such a thing as an air tag built into a chip.
Jacks have a hell of a prey drive, even from shelters but with work can be trained to leave certain animals alone. They never lost that hunting drive. Recall can be a little hard worth them. My old jack Russell learned to leave the neighbor's chickens alone but would happily pursue anything else. Hell the reason he kept getting returned because he wanted to chase after things lol. Killed every mouse and rat we came across, a couple rabbits, and once wanted to take on an elk. Eventually was trained as a service dog for me!
An elk! Hilarious. Little dogs think they are so big, don't they? My little beagle would kill groundhogs twice his size though. Lol. One tough little dog. I sure hope all my dogs are in Heaven waiting for me when I get there, or that God brings them back if that happens first. I sure miss them.
I had a JRT that took down a racoon! And I never trained him to do so... They are tenacious little dogs!
So sad for your loss Joseph. All the best, and God bless you and your family.
So sorry, it's a crying shame. I know the area where you lost her, I'll keep an eye open. We frequent that area.
On the positive side, I'll be looking forward to seeing more videos soon, and on occasion, maybe running into ya again in the area.
God bless brother
I'm shocked and sadden for you loss. It's like a candyman take you kid away. Just sickening what people do. On the otherhand there is a breed called Plumberterrier in England and they using it for the same thing ratting. They have a few videos up here on you-tube and cause of those guys I find you and I'm here ever since. No offence but I can't understand the village British so the autogenerated English just didn't cut it for me. But I'm glad to find you. I hope in time you will find some healing for Gypsy and all I hope at least she is treated well. Good luck finding a good working dog ! Fare well little Gypsy!
I've got an mini Australian shepherd, very smart and small. Good dog for filling a job.
Someone in my neighborhood stole my dog when I was 13. They only came to their home on holidays and vacation they did not live there full time. They took the dog to the home they stayed in out of town. I got lucky that my dog, a Jack Russell, was too much for them and they brought her back. The audacity of people is disgusting. I was just glad they didn’t take her to a shelter or give her away.
So sorry to hear this. So much scum in the world. Fingers crossed for a miracle for you. Bet she’s fretting for you all. Poor girl
I lost my dog the same way but different way I’m so sorry about that ❤i hope you find her again!😢
Hope you find her & there are still good people on this planet 🌎
Joseph Carter, I am so sorry to hear about Gypsy, your dog. I love your show and God bless you 🙏 ❤️!
I lost a dog that way too a few years back. Sorry for you and hoping for the best.
My dog would love it, but she's a beast! I'm sorry about Gypsy. I hope you still get her back.
She was my favorite. How heartbreaking! You need to teach them to STAY CLOSER to you, so this kind of thing never happens again. And the comment below about contacting all the vets, I agree. People are absolutely SKUMBAGS. Also please tell the person raising the new pups not to get them vaxt because it is NOT what we are told anymore. What they are putting in them is op/erating sy/stems, and it is a travesty. Please don't let that happen.
Noooo 😮😱 am so sorry to hear that. Why would someone do this. Its awfull. I wish karma will get them fast and hard. Some people need to take a long walk on a short pier😤
Wishing for her safe return 🙏 ❤️
Everyone in your area needs to hear that she is lost and be on the look out for her!!!!!!! This is such a crappy situation. I'd be beside myself! As others have said, contact the news, and everyone on social media spread the word to get her back.
Sorry to hear about gypsy. What is wrong with people, how could someone be so low to steal someone’s dog. That’s basically stealing someone’s member of family. Awful! I hope she returns safely and in good health.
I’m sorry for your months of struggle, Joe, that’s hard. Maybe you can still find Gypsy in the future, even if you get a new working puppy. Hopefully Gypsy is alright.
So sorry.... keep trying to find him. Makes me sad there are people like that.
I had been wondering about Gypsy. It's sad to see the person who took her had the negligence to remove her collar.
Posted in on your local news they would eat that story up what are you waiting on brother the local paper your local you know I want to say internet coverage people I don't even know how to explain it but local journalists hell I don't even know but you get it come on man you got the power brother we love your Channel
I just can't like this! Joe sorry to you and your family, I hope this is shared enough to help you. Love from the UK
I am sooo sorry Joseph! I hope you get Gypsy back‼
I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't believe someone would do that. Prayers she returns. 🙏
😢😢😢😮😮 Soo sad to hear this!! Love love love your little gypsy.. praying she is found safe and happy!!
Sorry for your loss! People are the worst!
😢 my heart is broken when you lose a fur baby from a dog napper! Sending you positive prayers and positive vibes to get your Terrier back! Love your show. I'm a big fan of yours! God bless you all❤
Dude, I'm so sorry someone stole your dog. I've had my puppy stolen too. I hope you get your dog back
Joseph here is something I did to protect my dog. On his collar I had a tag that if found call owner immediately, dog has a rare disease and needs expensive daily medication reward if found. I locked the collar on to the dog with a security screw and nut also used red lock tight. I made the collar out of a chain wrapped with para cord. You would need a bolt cutter to take it off as few people have the key which looks like an Allan wrench but an odd shape with a tine hole for a prong on the key. Their call security screws I think.
Stay safe brother. People can be really disrespectful I'm sorry for your loss.
Hey Joe! I'm so sorry to hear about gypsy. Such a good little dog. I hope whoever has her takes as good as good care of her as you did. If you are not already aware of them, I recommend looking into the Jack Russell Terrier Club of America if you need any other breeders . They stand by the philosophy of "Preserving, Protecting and Working the Jack Russell as they are one of the last true working terriers. It's sad that the AKC got a hold of the breed and now people are ruining them by crossing them with other breeds like pugs just so they can call them "jugs". I loved your video where you were in NY (where I live) hunting rats with locals that owned Jack Russells. I think that would be the perfect breed for your needs as they are a very versatile hunter. My jack, Remington (RIP) actually use to flush pheasant for us. He was great at getting into the thick underbrush and scaring up birds. As a true Jack though, we never had him retrieve as he would always start tearing up the bird and shaking it. LOL Good luck Joe! I look forward to meeting the newest member of your family when they arrive. :)
Hey Joe!
It's true that you put a lot of effort in training your dogs, Boss, Sherni,, and Gipsy ( sorry if I spelled her name wrong) they are awesome animals, take care of Bindi and Leia, Tag. Hopefully someone will Not take them as well. I'm sure Gipsy will find you. She is one awesome dog. You should try getting a Malinois since they don't have and off switch and fast and love to get things with their mouth and you have a wonderful sport for them. A suggestion....... next to a terrier that you are waiting for. Keep posting. Love your shows.
I hope you find her❤️
DAMM Joe sorry to hear this about your Dog hopefully whoever took gypsy thinks about it and changes his ways and gives your dog back
How terrible! Yt hasn't been notifying me, but it doesn't look like you posted any earlier than this? We (collectively) could've been looking out for poor Gypsy sooner, had we known! People suck, but not quite everyone. Damn.
I hate when this happens, people stumble upon a dog and just assume it's lost and take it and never try to find the owner :/ hopefully you find her eventually! We had an intact male Husky who was an escape artist and would run off and we found him multiple times with someone a few streets over trying to keep him, kids crying and saying "but you said we could keep him" had renamed him and everything, really annoying
EDIT: If you never find her I recommend a Jagdterrier I love them, they are so cool!
So sorry that this happened! The girls must be pretty upset as everyone! Prayers Gypsy is found ❤️
Sorry to hear that. I've had close calls with people wanting to take my dog!
Broken heart, I hope you get your dog back. Prayers for a safe return.
I'm so sorry your family had/have to go through that. Sending prayers to you and your family. 🙏🙏
sorry to hear about your loss, that sucks man. i had a jack russell, took him huntin all the time. great hunter and loved going down holes. he was a fierce one
I'm sorry this happened. It's still possible the chip will be read at some point, and it's very hard to conceal a dog for a long period of time. One way or another, someone will eventually become aware of it. All hope is not lost yet. It's absolutely reprehensible that someone would take someone else's dog. I hope the online network gets a lead on this. I would also list what time this happened...everything that might make someone say "hey, I remember a person picking up a little black dog when I was out golfing at about that same time. I could give a description, and there was something unique about that person". Any cameras possibly in the area?
Sorry to hear about Gypsy Joseph, hopefully you will get her back soon, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧
I’m hoping for Gypsy to come back poor girl I’m sure she could find her way home my dog found his way home on his own after being gone for 21 days he was horribly skinny and his ankles were so swollen from him constantly walking he didn’t give up and as soon as he can home he slept for the longest time barely getting up for food and water and needing to use the bathroom sadly we only had him for three years after that he died from epilepsy the vets couldn’t stop him from having a seizure even then they sedated him as if they were gonna do surgery so we had to put him down
Praying for you, your family, your mink, and your dogs, Mink Man. Thanks for giving this alert about possible dog-snatchers! 💔
I hope you find exactly what you're looking for Joe you give a lot of time and effort in love into your animals
That is so sad. Like losing one of your children. Easy to see how heartbroken you are. Probably the same for your wife and children. My condolences.
only thing i can say is to share this video far and wide and hope for the best.
Aw, man, I really hate to hear this. I just ran across your channel last week and have been binge watching as many of your videos as possible, and have really enjoyed all the different jobs and personalities of your dogs. I love that Bindi girl, and really was sad to watch the videos about Boss and Sherni's losses, as well as good ol Boone. I really loved how gritty Gypsy was in all the videos, and now some lowlife has taken her from you. A thief is about as low as a person can get. Who knows? Gypsy could get away and one day, make her way back to you. But in the meantime, good luck finding Gypsy's replacement in your working crew. You and your family are good people. Best hopes for you guys
😥 don't give up hope. I lost 2 of my dogs a while ago door blew open. Smaller than Gypsy. Middle of winter below freezing warmest night was 22°F. 2days got 1 back 5days got the other she'll turn up. I know the pain you're going through oh too well. A true nightmare. Someone obviously took her probably thought she was dumped off and was "coming for help" or those dog theives. Probably someone waiting for a reward.
Inform shelters, vets, bulletin boards if you have one, I even called the news station they put it on their face book. You'll find her.
Don’t give up. I work at an animal shelter and we have had dogs show up that have been missing for a year or so.
I pray who ever has her is being kind to her. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
My heart goes out to you for your loss. I know first hand how it feels to have someone steal one of your dogs, and I personally think it takes an extra special lowlife to steal a dog. I think someone low enough to steal a man's dog is low enough to steal his kids, and I also think they should severely punished, and I personally think they should be punished however the owner sees fit to punish them if they are ever caught. Thank God I was able to track down my dog 30 days after he was stolen, but he had been seriously mistreated in that time, and now suffers from an extremely bad case of separation anxiety so bad he can't stand to be left alone. Thank God I was at least able to find him and get him back though. I hope and pray that you will be able to do the same very soon. My thoughts and prayers will be with you!!!!!
I feel for you my friend-much love to your family.
I’m so sorry. 😔 I hope she’s home real soon. Even with this loss you are educating us about the breeds and how some work and some don’t for this job. Take car guys. 🇬🇧
I'm sorry for your loss.
By the way, could you also make a short video explaining why you use or prefer female dogs for hunting?
You want all female or all male teams , I suspect, to remove the breeding inconvenience from work days, especially if your animals are un neutered.
Females may just work better for him.
Well it’s bc he want to raise the “right” dog (personality/drive etc etc) for future line either to keep a pup or two and sell the rest. Just like the people where he is about to get his new pup from. Bc they have all the right traits and at the same time you sell the pups that have the right traits…. Isn’t it too obvious that’s why he want females… bc these pups will sell for high high price
I got a rat terrier about a year ago, free puppies. I had never had one before. Holy heck he is a killer....tears everything, digs everything and is not good at useing his ears to listen to instruction. Renfield is his name and adorable, but I get why they aren't a good choice in your work.
I'm glad there are people who will help help lost or stray animals, but not every loose animal is lost or stray. Really wish folks understood that! We live in a rural area and people have picked up dogs who are close to their homes and taken them because they weren't in a yard. Frustrating.
Well that’s why you need to have some kinda of signs or a vest etc on them saying pest control dog in work or something to show these dogs are at work!!! So good people with good heart don’t mistake them for lost dogs while it don’t prevent people with ill intentions but at least, it will prevent good people from taking them to shelter etc etc… and less of chance for people with ill intention to take them too. for a guy like Joe,, it’s no brainer for him to think of something like this but I think this dude is more care for this work than his actual dogs. Every year one of his dogs are some kinda of new either missing/killed
Wishing the best of luck that you get them returned... Never lose hope.
sorry to hear gypsy got napped but glad she's ok out there. weird how people are now so rescue oriented with dogs off leash didn't use to be like that...lets hope the magice of the interwebs tracks down gypsy!
Wait how you know Gypsy is okay out there??? someone took her and we don’t know what intentions they have with Gypsy. You said “she is okay out there” as if you knew who took her (like yourself). Oppose to “I HOPE she is okay out there”. Very interesting comment from OP
Don't give up hope. I got called 2 years after mine was taken. He actually ran away from his new owner and some people took him in and got him back to good health and took him to the vet. The vets office called me and told me what this family had done for him. I let them keep him because they loved him so much. I currently have 2 terriers and 2 GSH and they all go after my mice. The GSH pair work in tandem. No training on any of them.
I'm sure you put Gypsy up on facebook lost dog sites in your area, contacted vets, etc. but don't give up hope. I'd still contact tv and radio stations, especially since she was chipped.
Oh man, not our tenacious little Gypsy. Really hope you guys get her back 🤞
Some people are horrible. Stay strong my man. Keep up the good work
Damn sorry for the loss, I hopefull everything will turn out great.
Don’t give up spread the word hope this story has a happy ending
