- The Honda touchscreen infotainment system can only store the details about 6 paired Bluetooth devices, and it's not clear how you would delete one. We show you how. More: www.betweenthea...
I can’t believe I had to watch a UA-cam video to figure it out. Thank you. This worked perfectly.
Crazy that such a simple task is so hard to do. Glad we could help.
@felix I’m hip it’s funny ain’t it I went through the same thing
Me too.
Same here. And I’m not a tech noob.
Oh my goodness, me too
This was so helpful. I couldn't find the delete button for the life of me. Thank you.
Thank you. It's such a weird setup.
Saved me a solid 30 minutes of frustration!
You're welcome. We were tearing our hair out trying to figure it out too.
Even after 6 years, this video is still a life saver.
Got so frustrated trying to figure this out.
Will try this tomorrow.
Thanks
Hope you managed to delete some Bluetooth pairings.
@@betweentheaxles Yes, all of it. Thanks again buddy.
I never would have figured this out. 7 Years later, this video is still the GOAT. Cheers1
Thank you. I'm still kinda amazed that I stumbled upon the solution.
Lol! It’s 2023, and had to watch a video to delete old Bluetooths on my 2015 Fit. Thanks a million man. This video will go into the future quite well.
Thanks! Yeah, this video is having a long and fruitful life, that's for sure!
You are a life saver man! I’ve been at this for WEEKS. Got a new phone and thought I was screwed. Thanks!
Thanks. Good thing you didn't need to get a new car to match the phone.
OMG. Thank you for doing this video. This drove me absolutely crazy forever.
Seems like you're not the only one :)
I was ready to cry I couldn't fix my Bluetooth thank you so much for this video!!!! It's finally fixed😬😘
Thanks! You weren't the only one who about to cry ...
Years later and this video keeps helping people, good job!
I love UA-cam but i love people like you who share useful things thank you
Thank you so much! I'm a tech who's been trying to figure this out for weeks! So simple, yet so stupid! Haha I'm so thankful for this video! 😁
Hondas own videos are pointless at explaining this. You sir are a life saver. Thank you.
Thanks! It's almost like they never tried deleting a phone from their own infotainment unit ...
5 years later and Honda still has this issue. This video, thank you 🙏
Bless you sir! Idk if you’re still alive 5 years after this video but you helped me a lot and I love you 😂
Oh my god, THANK YOU! You wouldn't believe the time I wasted trying to figure out why the car wouldn't let me connect my new phone. Bless you!
I was so irritated that I could not add my device. Even looked online to buy another radio. But you my man gave me peace
I was about to throw in the towel two hours into looking at my cars screen and manual. THIS VIDEO IS BY FAR HELPFUL
Thank you so much... This stupid stereo has been driving me insane for months now and I've been so lazy about looking it up. Your video saved my sanity.
That's so counter intuitive, I've been trying to find this setting for so long without success. Thanks a lot!
Thank u for making this video. For 3 fking years I had my civic ask me which connection I wanted even though I only always wanted mine. BUT I bought this car used so it had 4 possible choices from previous owner. Ur awesome man. Ur video in 1 minute told me how to delete the old bluetooth connections. Thank u from the bottom of my heart man. Kevin
Glad to be of service. I hope whoever designed this is no longer working designing user interfaces...
I know this is an old video but thank you so much for making this video I can’t tell you how incredibly helpful it was 🙏🙏🙏
Every time I get a new phone I find myself back here haha total lifesaver
Haha. We know the feeling. Glad we could be of service.
I tried everything for this until I gave in and searched for a video tutorial, thanks mate!
Thanks a lot brother, I was trying to delete all the 6 devices since I got a second hand Honda city. It's been an year since I got it. 😍😍😍
Thanks a lot man! You are right: it's not obvious at all.
Brilliant. Saved me from two weeks of silence and radio static in a cheap rental.
As an added layer of stupid, the one I was driving had some baffling opinions on what shouldn't be possible while moving.
Took me half an hour of stoplights to clear out the list, because it'd kick you all the way out if you selected some options or were on certain screens and weren't stopped. But then it'd let you twiddle your way through three other sub menus?
Shockingly, the actual soundsystem in that little hatchback was very nice, once you got connected.
Glad it helped. This interface is almost a crime against humanity.
You’ll be happy to know this video was still useful 5 years later 🙏🏾
Thank you...not sure why Honda make it so hard for such a simple task. A BIG THANK YOU once again.
Thanks so much for this! I've been actually pulling the fuse everytime to reset the damn system to remove the Bluetooth devices previously. I figured there had to be an actual way to delete them normally, but you're right, this is very counter intuitive.
Oh man, that's a pretty extreme measure to go and delete the Bluetooth pairings. Glad we were able to show you a less extreme method :)
Tysm I am crying finally founded why it was greyed
Hahaha. It seems like you're not the only one. Glad we could help.
In 2020 this guy is still a G
Thanks bro saved my life 💪
Aww man thanks... I spent so many weeks to search where is delete button. May god bless you man.
Thank you! I had seen delete a device one time when I was playing around with bluetooth on my Fit, but then I couldn't remember how to get back to it later! This video helped!
Thanks! We had the same experience: found it once, and had to search so hard to find it again.
Thank you! This was really helpful! And like you said the process of deleting a paired device is definitely counterintuitive.
Been using an aux lead 4 the longest then when it stopped working had to drive with no music so irritating to find out this was so simple once u get past the awkward complexity..thankful for you tube saved me a trip to get it looked at 👍🏾🙌🏾😊
thanks man! was searching for a really long time
Thanks! Trust us, we did a search too and that's why we did this video.
Thank you for the info, I have had my civic for 6 years now, and when I got another phone , I was not able to attach my device to it because the "Add new device" was greyed out. I played around with it and looked at the manual and nothing I found showed me why it was greyed out. Finally after a week of scouring the web I find this video. Thank you for the info and yes, it is not at all intuitive.
I had found it once before but couldn't for the life of me find it again. Thanks!
Shows you how poor the design is. And that's almost worse than never finding out in the first place. Glad we could help....
Never thought that a car radio would unite us here but thank you mate
This was driving me crazy. Thank you for this!
Omg this has been bugging me for months. Horrible software setup by Honda. Thanks for this, exactly what I needed!!!
Thanks. Not even the user manual specifies this.
It's crazy. It's like they thought no-one would ever go past 6 paired devices ...
Thank you, sir. You saved me from boredom in the car. 😅
Hahaha. No worries. It's saved me many a boring hour.
Thanks man! I watched 10 videos, none of them helped, or mentioned why the "add device" was grayed out. You are awesome!
Thank you so much! I also enjoyed the System Clear option at the bottom of that list, because this is a rental and it's full of phones it will never see again. Pay it forward.
Thank you this was indeed helpful. I could not find this in the odyssey manual either. Much appreciated.
Thanks, I was so close to giving up myself too.
You just saved me a trip to the "stealership" for a 2020 model. Thank you
You know how important the video is.. The guy got the video monitized for it😄
Thanks bro
Thank you so much for this video! I was worried my bluetooth system needed updating or there was problem with my phone! I had so many previously paired phones, didn't know there was 6 spot limit.
Thank you so much sir!!! My phone wasn't able to connect to Bluetooth but now I can thanks to you !!
I keep coming back to this video, thank you 🙏
Glad we could be of service time and again.
Thanks a ton! That's one clean solution to a frustrating usability problem... Am sure Honda has come a long way further in subsequent models... Hopefully!
I feel so dumb now, but also grateful, saved my trip. Cheers.
This was driving me crazy, you are a LIFESAVER !
Glad we could help. And, no, you're not going crazy.
THANK YOU! You saved me a trip to the dealership!
And 8 years later thank you so much!
Thanks man. Literally stopped in the middle of the road in a road trip to figure this out
Bro thank you sooooo much man! I was googling over and over and couldn’t find a single thing! You are a freaking genius man! Love this video so much you are awesome
This was driving me nuts, was contemplating buying an external Bluetooth receiver, thanks for the video…
Damn i was going crazy when I couldn’t pair my new phone to my car. I tried this and it worked. Thank you so much!!
You've saved me a trip to the dealer. Thank you so much. Nothing, not even factory resets were working on this dumb thing
this is so mind blowing!! i can’t believe i had to find it at youtube, thank you so much!!!
Awesome, it took me for ever trying and trying until I decided to watch a UA-cam video.
Great 👍
Thank you.
Thank you a million times for this - couldn't find this menu for love nor money! All fixed, yay!
I was literally about to tear my hair out of anger (I accidentally unpaired the device and it just wouldn't pair again) but thank you so much, it works.
holy shit thanks! driving to cali to colorado and you helped me a ton! appreciate this!
You saved my life bro. I was going nuts figuring this out.
Thanks alot. U saved me from a boring night drive.
Man, you are the best... Solved my frustrating problem in short time. Thanks
Thank you soo much this had been driving me crazy for like 6 months now!! lol
Wow u save me the trouble. Could not find how to do it until ur video. Thanks!!
I always come back to this video because I forget thank you!!!
this was so helpful! I wasn't able to figure this out and they handed me the manual on a cd and my '17 civic doesn't even have a cd player.
This saved my day, thank you so much man!
I was scratching my mind since 3hrs, u got me bro ✌️✌️✌️
Thanks man, i was loosing my mind tryna figure out how to delete paired devices from my car
Totally baffling why it's designed like this...
Had the same problem and just couldn’t figure out how to do it. Thanks man.
Thank you very much..wouldn't have figured it out in a million guesses ..
Me and my friend are in a zipcar right now and this came in soo handy Thankyou!!!
This video was shockingly helpful my brother👌🏼
Thanks...soooooi much!! Not even in the web page it's explained as nicely!
Thank u this helped me so much.i was starting to get frustrated lol. I just got a new phone and it wasn't letting me add it because all six slots were full. thanks Again for making this video😁😁😊😊😊
Hahaha. I know the feeling. Was very close to slapping the stupid head unit. Such a ridiculous design.
🙊😂😊
Thank you so much... I was struggling to connect my new phone for a while and your video just made it so simple!!! Thank you once again🙏🏻
Very helpful!!! Better than the tips from the car manual
Thank you! You are so right. This is not intuitive at all. I'm glad I finally looked for a how-to.
Thanks! We're surprised there weren't more videos about this issue.
Thank you for your helpfulness. I had tried every which way and never thought to do what you suggested. It worked great and I was able to pair another set of phones. Thanks again!
Thanks Man! You are my personal hero this day onwards!
Very very helpful!!! I got a zip car and wasted 30 minutes trying to delete existing so that I can connect mine... wish i seen this before .
This lighten my day, million thanks.
U r awesome! I was having issues with resetting..this clip helped. Thnk u LORD JESUS!!
Yay finally!!!! I've been trying to figure this out for months!!!!!
Thanks a million! Ugh it’s been driving me crazy. I’ve been tying to figure this out for the longest.
Thanks a million.. Couldn't figure out how to delete a device from this car.
No worries. Glad to be of assistance!
I could not figure it out this from very long time...thank u very much😊
Omg, thank you. For some reason my car and phone stopped talking today and it took almost 30 minutes to fix.
Good job! I was trying a lot time to remove cellphone ...thank you!
So weird to hide it there. This was so helpful. Thank you.
What counterintuitive horseshit. Thanks mate.
Tell me about it! Thanks! :)
Thanks a lot!!!!!!!
Greetings from Honduras.
Glad to helping out people from all over the world! :)
