I just came out of Walmart Onboarding.I passed everything except the 30min pretrip.They give you a highly detailed guide on day one.
But you are not allowed to practice on a truck at the place but you will be tested all three days.Most drivers can do a pretrip but most drivers can't verbalize the truck and trailer then couple and uncouple in 30 minutes with in cab inspection and break test without practice.
They didnt give us an example of a 30 min pretrip so we got an idea what language to cut out to try to make the time limit.They stop us from practicing on any of the trucks around the traing facility to help shorten our times.
They wanted us to go cold turkey.
You will need to not only practice your quick trip super fast.10 mins on truck 10 mins on trailer the rest to 10 mins for in cab airbreaks to couple and uncouple.It's impossible to pass without a lot of practice.
Most people don't verbalize their pretrip and most people dont speed pretrip.
I know some super truckers gonna say its simple.No it's not.You get tested immediately on the first day under these conditions.
You got say your pretrip like you been saying it everyday for two or three weeks or you will not pass it.Fast fast thats how they get you.All the driving you will pass.
It’s because of you that my application was move to the top of the pile and now I’m starting onboarding so I thank you for your help with pre-trip guides etc..... and you deserves to keep all the rewards that is afforded to you.

You have been instrumental in your reviews with WM along with onboarding vids. I passed onboarding, it was really intense I don’t like testing in front of people. But I got it done thank you for all your videos and cannot wait see more. You have really helped me out and you got a dedicated subscriber.

The guide is different from the easy guide I have seen on these videos.Walmart has a new guide book and it's just like the DOT guide book.The walmart books on youtube are laughable.

Rich i asked you for the pre trip thanks it was a big help and I also watched your video on backing I just finished onboarding and I passed my DC is Opelika Alabama 5 of us are going to Cullman Alabama this Monday for one week to learn the computer training in the truck then I will go to my DC the following week. On boarding in south Carolina you only get 30 minutes for pre trip I think it is too short
When you watch the guy do expectations, he will do it in under 30 mins. The walmart Grand Chamions do it in an avg. of 7 minutes.

Do not give up your referral bonus. You spend your time doing this, you answer emails. That is the trade off. This is great info. I am just a 4 wheeler trucking nerd. Have a good and safe week.
Thank you! I wish I had know this channel was gonna be as big as it is. I answer 10+ emails a day. Do research or make calls for people. I have recieved 8 referals this year but my spreadsheet I keep has almost 200 drivers I assisted in some way

No don’t do it. You have done the work with the channel to provide the information, that will change a driver pay check.
The perk you get of using a referral is a higher possibility of getting the job. I’d never ask a person from YT for referral money because I, ME, chose to use their name to help me get a job. You shouldn’t be asking them to then give you money for them allowing you to use their name to get a foot in the door. Some people I swear… 😡

Just so everyone is aware, Walmart has a new associate-to-driver program that does require 30 months CDL tractor-trailer experience OR completion of their 12-month Private Fleet Development Program that is located in Dallas, TX and Dover, Delaware. However, I was told by an employee you must have 1 year experience in any Walmart position before qualifying for the Program.

I’ve not seen any information about daycabs. That’s an option I’m interested in.
They have home daily positions. They vary from location to location. You have to live near the DC and some locations you have to bid on the job, some have them open. It all depends from DC to DC

Onboarding is only 1 week and then 2 weeks with a mentor.

Okay so I called the number. It was a long hold time but someone eventually answered. I gave them my personal info and stated I wanted to add you as a referral. They told me since I just applied today, if and when I make it to the interview stage, that’s when I’m supposed to let them know about who referred me. So they wouldn’t let me add you yet. But later for sure.
Ok no.. the point if the referal is to bump you up so you get an interview ahead of the others. Email me and we'll talk. I wanna be sure you get bumped up if I can
Stop sharing your bonuses. drivers should get hired and then they can be eligible for their own bonus if they refer someone. If somebody is only going to apply so they get a kickback that's the wrong type of driver
It's a bonus, there is nothing wrong with sharing it if you are making money off someone. And there is nothing wrong with a driver wanting a peice.
They don't use hire right anymore. It's First Advantage.
It just changed in the last month or so.. its why there was so many delays in hiring this past month or so

Why would they pull your credit report? No they don't. They only ask you to submit a copy of your phone records if you get into an accident or incident in a walmart vehicle

Thanks for the great information. I have a question about night driving. How much night driving is expected of newer drivers? (I consider night driving anything between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m.)
Most new drivers will be a 7am-ish out the gate work 12ish hours. I chose the night shift. To work nights you would have to sign up for it.

Rich how can I apply with Walmart with only 6 months experience... I'm currently otr doing 48 states and I'm good @ what I do, but Walmart requires so much experience... Do they have other driving positions that require less experience? Thk u buddy please let know..
Funny you ask. I been looking into this. I see they now require 30 mo. In 4 years instead of 3. They also are taking store employees and yard truck drivers through walmart special school. So far that's all you can do that I know of. Just keep driving safe and see if anything changes

How do you give a referral for some driver you don't know and have never met?
Well if you find my information useful. If you email me for help and I can help. You could have been referred by a news paper, an internet ad or a guy who gave good advice on a UA-cam video. On the app it ask how you were referred not who is your friend.
What's the scuttlebutt on AI trucks? What happens to the current drivers once WM starts using AI trucks full time?
Im not sure we really have to worry. They barely run the in the south west with good weather and roads. Not to mention the battery technology and science just inst there yet. Im gonna bet im well retired by the time it gets to the midwest
By the time they fired all their drivers the trailer doors can finally open themselves.

Most don't ask. Some do. Part of me wants to thank them. There are lots of drivers they can use.
You earned the referral bonuses you should be keeping those bonuses. Do not do a kick back you earned it, those individuals can make their own youtube videos & send in their own referrals for a bonus.
sure you explain alot but u just spent 10 minutes talking about something less than 1% of your viewers participate in (your referral program).
You would be surprised the number of questions I get about it.

My boss loves that I help people. He just asked that I dont bring him 200 drivers that need something unless they used me. He asked that they reach out to the person that referred them. As far as your bonuses for referrals those are yours . You pay taxes . Unless it's a true friend of yours and you wanna kick them a couple hundred don't do it
