Spring/Fall in the Pacific, you really SHOULD have a drysuit of some kind. Don't want to be a statistic. The warmest days of the year a good wetsuit will do, but that water is still not warm, at all.
This is the first time I’ve actually got to see the sites you look at for tides going out of Depoe Bay. I really wish you would have shown which day on the graphs you chose to better understand what it looks like on that same day actually being out there. Or at least tell us what the swell # is and seconds apart it is when you go out next time. Also would like to know how you know how long you can be out there before it is time to come back in.
PK, next time if a fish gets stuck on a rock, freeline it, so you give it a chance to swim out of the hole.. by keeping the line tight, youre keeping him pinned.
PK, I just love your easy running commentary, i also like your survival suit, it looks great! I am headed to fish real soon, I hope to send you a pic on FB,,,
@@oregonlife there are so many drysuits on the market. ranging from a few hundred to a few thousand bucks. any recommendations on a brand i was thinking NRS since that is what my PFD is.
Greenling taste/texture is pretty much Lingcod. I prefer Ling/Greenling over rockfish, so I keep them if they have some size. Only "problem" is getting some of decent size. Edit: If a Ling rocks you like that, spot lock and open the bail. Give it some line and wait a few to swim out. It sometimes works, sometimes doesn't...

Do you have a video showing your kayak and how it's set up, plus what items you usually have with you. Thank you
@@larrykoroush6995 hope to make one soon.

Thanks for the tip.
Any chance a small powerboat could tag along on one of these trips? Got a little sled I’d like to take out on the right day.

@@edquier40 thanks, Ed. Good luck & stay safe.
Looking for your promised links of where to find wave information. Not finding the links. Am I just blind?
@@brentcronk9863 I forgot about that. It is now added to the description.
@oregon life what RAM mount is on your fish finder?
@@SQ_og its the x-grip ram mount
@oregonlife Thanks, I see you put it around your neck in newer trips.
@ yea, it was risky to put the remote on the kayak. Much more safe to have it on you at all times.
does everyone out there have a motor attached? Would a peddle drive work for offshore fishing?
I had a motor along with Steve. Everyone else had peddle drives.

WOW he's got all the latest shit!
Those ugly sticks are indestructible!!
Is a flag required on a kayak in the ocean
I don't know if it's required, but it's a must have to make yourself more visible.
@oregonlife thankyou tight lines my friend
