love depot bay! I heard one of the guys mention Beverly Beach. Not sure if he was aware that is a Marine reserve. There are about 5 of them on the oregon coast where you can't fish or take fish this includes from shore and Beverly Beach is one of the areas. Since you Surf Perch a lot I think it might be a great idea in one of your videos if you haven't already. I don't remember as I have not watched all of them. Mention to look up the Marine reserve points as it's a big fine to fish from one. Keep fishing! I grew up with a fishing pole and a crab trap. Just started learning to salmon fish never did that with my father. But Caught way more Sturgeon than I could count. :)
I was down there but didn't have a kayak and got there too late. Anyway, I was thinking that for groups like that, it may be beneficial to have Oregon Life flags similar to what off road vehicles are required to have in the sand dunes. this way the group will know who is in the group and head counts will be much easier.
Cabezon are pretty bony and not much meat for the size, I'd rather have Lingcod any day. Bake the lingcod in cream of Mushroom or Cream of Chicken soup without adding water then put some cheese on top at the end.
23:42 no life jacket, no dry suit…guy is literally asking to die in the ocean. Most guys were outfitted correctly but that guy is going to meet his maker if he makes a mistake.
I’ve been debating on getting an old town 106 pdl as my very first kayak. The 120 might be a bit heavy for me to get on n off my suv alone. But I do want to be able to crab/fish out there like u guys do u think the 106 will be able to handle the ocean safely?
On calm days, it should be fine. Even if it's slightly rough, it'd be OK. There was a guy out there that we had who had a 10.6 Native Titan, it worked really well. I have a 106 Titan as well that I plan on taking to the ocean.
I have a 106 Minn Kota 45lb thrust Old Towne with the necessary gear. Been in rough water, I'm new to salt in my kayak though I've caught tuna and marlin from a skiff. No way I'm going to launch in surf! I would like to join your groups and go out from a dock/ harbor like this vid. Info?
Hey PK, just wonder if my buddy and I can tag along with your next kayak trip out of depoe bay… we have fishing jet ski and was wondering if it will work for depoe bay, thanks.
Sure, more company is always welcomed. I have a good friend who goes out there with a jet ski, so yes. They work great. Wish I got one. Here is our next (potential) outing: www.everylist.com/forum/index.php?threads/potential-depoe-bay-kayak-trip-4-20.356/
One thing about this channel that I like... this guy for some reason, always bring people together. Much respect
I love it how when PK has his limits of Lingcod then "let go home" 😆
Trolling motor looks luxurious!!
Best vibes ever
"9 Kayaks Outbound" .. hell yes!
Great vids PK! I'm gonna bump into you sooner or later!😂 Tight Lines!!🐟🦀
I'm getting ready to turn 60 and tired of pattling out. Maybe time for a trolling motor myself.
Used to do a lot of kayak fishing but never had a trolling motor! I'm so jealous! Nice Lings! Gratz!
Try a 5" white or red curly tail. Or even a chartreuse one. We use to kill them on these colors.
Happy fishing
Wish i would of made it out there, looks like a great day.
keep up the good work...
Love to take part in one of these meets unfortunately Depot Bay is a bit of a drive from Central WA. Cannon beach is about my limit.

That would be a great idea. Oregon Life banners. I'll have to see how to implement that.
