Who'd of thought a simple thing like the ReTouch tool would result in such a long video! I was asked by a couple of people to cover this in detail and I can understand why. It's not intuitive but it is very powerful and has some advantages over the Lightroom equivalent, more flexibility for one. I have quite a few requests to explain PhotoLab 7 functionality building up now, next one is the Tone Curve. Let me know in the comments if there are other subjects you'd like to see more detail on and I'll try to fit them in.

Retouching very fiddly in photolab. Unless it's something very simple I export to Affinity and fix in seconds

It is fiddly, and very much a manual process. This could be where AI tools really earn their keep, saving literally hours sometimes, but I'm at risk of opening up the whole "it's not photography" discussion.

I find that when removing items like wires and lines, it works best to squiggle the mask rather than following the wire in a line. Following the line exactly often results in an obvious masked line. The program often does a poor job of selecting the replacement source area but it is easy to move it to a more appropriate one.
