Fern, my white Boxer dog, is an accredited service dog under the 1992 DD act. She holds special access rights to be allowed to enter places most dogs cannot. This includes National Parks such as Chiltern Mt Piolet NP where Reedy Creek is located. Unless your dog is an accredited service animal they are not allowed to enter NP.

Vacuuming the ground would be excavating? If that's the logic, then highbanking should also be excavating. It's just water moving dirt instead of air.

It's illegal to EXCAVATE dirt with machinery. Not process it. So long as it's dug by hand you can process it any way you choose.
@@VoGusProspecting I'm sure you're right, I'm just trying to understand the logic. So the tricky part is when you're taking the dirt from where it's resting, to some other place. That's the "excavation"? Like using a pump to hose loose dirt up a ramp, and into the highbanker would also be illegal? Even though it's the same pump that would hose the dirt inside the highbanker.

Its illegal to use water from a pump to wash dirt to a sluice. But it's legal to allow dirt brought to a sluice in a bucket get washed through via a pump.

I love your videos. Reedy Creek is a beautiful spot you work in. Are you allowed to use metal detectors? Could give an indication if gold is in a bucket of dirt, or in the creek. There's a lot of hard, back-breaking work involved.

I have tin in the crystal form, and it's really heavy also, it has gold in it too but it's so fine and I have no way to retrieve it either, the stuff you have is way more Concentrated with gold. You need to get one of the sand pit diggers that you see in children's parks. Easier than sitting on a bucket and spinning around with a shovel.

Given this is conglomerate you're scraping, doesn't that mean you're just doing the initial stages of breaking up the conglomerate...? Instead of chunking it up, sending those pieces of large conglomerate through a crusher and processing afterwards...

Same rules, that's called hydrolic sluicing and is a mechanical form of digging.

Chris is way too far south for crocs. Putting your feet into the water actually hides the scent of toe jam which drop bears are attracted to. Down side to Putting your feet in the water....... leeches

An adaptation you might want to make on your yabby pump is to make it look like a cringe by capping the bottom end and putting a pipe .5 or .3 the diameter of the main cylinder and have it come into the pump by 10-20 cm so the fine dirty /gold doesn't fall out when you lift it up to empty it in the pan before unscrewing it to clean it out every so often, the size restriction will give you a higher suction or jet of water depending on its use as well as getting to closer to smaller cracks.
So calculating on you working an 8 hour day to collect that amount it worked out to $1.80 an hour so how can you justify spending that amount of time to get such a small amount of pay ?

That whole process can be done in less than an hour. Making an 8 hour day worth around $120.
