Great video and review guys! These things are very impressive. I’m the guy who broke his collarbone and wish I had this. Gonna pick one up here soon. Gracias!
Always appreciate a review from someone who has actually crashed in it, glad that was a small-ish crash. I would like to hear from someone who's had a big one too.
I (Justin) had mine go off during the biltwell 100. It wasn’t a huge accident but I was going about 35mph and went over the handlebars. Could have easily been a clavicle
I have Tech Air 5. The old micro USB charging connector is a major PITA. I am glad they have finally updated the off-road airbag to USB C. Also, I hope they improve the phone app.
Not sure about the app. Not sure about the app I’ll see. You don’t really need it with this system though, it has a dedicated button to change the modes
Hopefully these things are solid enough that after enough people getting them checked after 4 deployments, they can increase it more. Would love to see a Stella version too just like the Tech 3 street vest.
hello, thanks for the review I purchased the Tech-Air Off-Road last week, and must say that my back hurts after few hours I ride long trips, 10-12.000km, and is on the saddle 8-12 hours every day, mix of gravel, single track, stones and tarmac and I wear my amor all the time, no matter if its 5 og 40 degrees But after 6 hours with the Tech-Air Off-Road my back hurts, its like I have a small skateboard rubbing my spine, and after 10 hours its really bad I waited a few days and tried again, this time it took only 30 minutes before the pain was back I am very very disappointed, going for a long trip next week and will wear my old Leatt amor and neckbrace, I can’t wear the Tech-Air Off-Road as it is now, so im very curios about how you felt while testing? thanks
interesting, we both have them and never ride without them off-road. Have not had any issues with comfort. Justin had the bionic 2 and that would sometimes hurt in the arms after a long day and the way the elbow guard sat but otherwise was fine
The one thing I would be concerned about is going down, sliding on the elbow pad, and ripping up either the pad or fabric around that area. Expensive piece of safety equipment to not be able to replace. It think I would prefer the short sleeve with armor and just wore my own elbow guards. With that being said, I am in the market for one now. Thanks for the video.
I don't understand, you can't have a neck protector with it but the way it inflates it doesn't protect your neck ... I think I am going with the helite off road airbag.
Lack of rib protection passive or airbag is a massive miss. My A10 has better rib protection than this thing. That being said I still bought one and will figure out rib protection.

Can you update the software of the tech air offroad via the USB port?
A great presentation, thank you! I also wonder if and how the computer is updated to take advantage of all the crash data they collected. Do you know?
Absolutely amazing!!
Nice review yall. 🤙🏼 definitely picking up one of these.
Thanks buddy!

Great informative video. On the needs list for sure.
It’s a pretty nice piece of kit
Ok. I’ve been thinking about an airbag for a while, you’ve sold me on this system
I swear by this one. Both Maggie and I have now flown over the handle bars
I am sold! Time to upgrade my protection gear.
I fully support you getting one
Your interview setting with the bike in front of you is about a half mile from the house I grew up in lol 1:03

what is the neck protection like on this thing?
It inflates around your neck and shoulders

I think Alpinestars is pretty good about repairing it if you send it in.
@@wayweroam Good to know. Ty
If you can even reach them they are known for bad customer service

Sounds really good. And no goddamn subscriptions as well
for sure!
Motorcycle riders need more protection especially on the street and off road.
For sure

Bro, you're gonna bankrupt me. lol!
You and me both! I still have to pay for these things
I just buy $100 worth of used orthopedic memory foam and gel seat pads from ebay, it'll absorb all my falls and no need replacing canisters.
