Sorry to hear about your back issues Eric. My wife (61 years old) very recently had a similar back surgery, Laminectomy and L4 & L5 were fused. She is doing really well; she can walk without a limp and constant pain. I hope the same for you brother.

Also, talk to the hospital social worker. There are many programs that can cover the costs that your insurance doesnt cover. Most folks dont know that hospitals have a social services department, but they do. They also can help with bills and things at home.
thanks. I'll look into it. Things are always a little different with the VA, I don't even actually have insurance. Luckily like i said, the direct medical costs will not be very high. Its just not being able to work that is a bigger issue.

Look into Cancer Treatments of America. They have a hospital in Phenix and Oklahoma. They have top of the line treatment. My wife went there and was treated great. The first diagnostics is totally free, even the air flight out there.
luckily there is no indication, yet anyway, that its cancerous.
I know, unfortunately, from personal experience how back pain can ruin your day or your month, thankfully it sounds like yours is fixable. I hope the surgery goes smoothly and you recovery quickly. Good luck to you Eric.

I also have hemangioma and other tumors. Mine haven't grown like yours. In fact, they have reduced in size. Noticed mine when I was a young man, and I immediately sold my business (which involved working with multiple toxic substances) and listened to Jack LaLanne and Dr. Jack Soltanoff's advice on how to live a healthy lifestyle.
Fast forward decades later to 2023 and I have zero issues. No preexisting conditions. No pain anywhere in my body. I woke up this morning at 4:30am and drank a glass of fresh squeezed lemon and pure water, did my exercises and stretched out every muscle from head to toe. Read for a few hours. And then drove out to my SHTF ranch where I work, rest, read, keep abreast of current events, listen to the Alex Jones Show and work with my 5 dogs. It's a good life. And it's good because I took good advice from good men back when I was young.....

Best of luck to you. You seem to have a positive attitude and you're still young, so that should help. Probably a good thing this happened now, instead of later. (Yeah, I know that sounds incredibly stupid, but it's all I can come up with at the moment).
not stupid at all, I feel the same way. We could be dealing with SHTF type situations at any moment, so I am definitely wanting to get fixed up now.
Yoga is your friend, I had my L4 and L5 fused at 39 and a degenerative S1. DDP Yoga is the only thing that has kept me going these past 4 years.
glad its helped. Luckily there isn't anything really wrong with my spine, other than the tumor. I shouldn't need a discectomy or a fusion, so that should help speed up the recovery.

Btw another one people are not thinking about is that IF one does not take the digital $ & the social credit score then there is no paying taxes, house payment etc which means homeless & laws are being passed against being homeless. Be careful if you have to have any kind of surgery I had one done a few years ago on my spine that left me with perminate nerve damage.
yeah that's definitely a concern. But its already in there smashing my nerve, so I don't have much of a choice
The body itself takes a year to recover from surgery & the meds make your hair stop growing & fall out. You’ll be okay after a year.

Some areas, like the Linq parking garage, flood every year.
I have just paid out a ton of money for property taxes on six properties, our income comes primarily from our rental properties. And now, three days later I broke a couple of molars (I grind my teeth at night) and need emergency root canals. This will leave us close to broke until the beginning of October when rents come in, but I PROMISE as soon as that happens I’ll be making a donation to your fund raiser! I’d do it right now but these teeth hurt so damn much I can’t put off the dentist. Hang in there, in the meantime I’ll send prayers and healing thoughts.

Definitely. Luckily the only real problem i have had with the VA so far through all this is them being very slow, and not initially taking it very seriously. They never seriously tried to push back on anything at least.

As someone that has injured hi slower back & is NOT on disability & deals with the pain when it shows up.. nerve pain SUCKS. Flat out, no 2 ways about it...

Not sure why doctors are so slow at ordering MRI's. Several friends have issues and the doctors are reluctant to order MRI;s Its like its the last thing they want to do.
i think its just busy here. they said they have only 2 MRI machines for the whole Las Vegas VA

well, to add to this shitty year, Mongo actually passed away a few months ago. really bummed me out. He got cancer on his skull and there was nothing we could do.

ha yeah if they are drafting 40 year olds, things would have to be pretty bad. I'm keeping my fingers cross that I will be able to return to a true baseline, because I don't actually have anything wrong with my spine. Discs are ok, etc. The nerve in there just has that tumor on it. But we'll see. Thanks
