@@OneWingedAnion you're talking more about low effort. The point is that the degree of effort can indicate perseverance, which is a key ingredient for success. If you immediately undermine your effort because it is "taking you nowhere," than you are more likely to simply give up, leading to permanent failure.
I failed before in my life. I can relate to this. I failed a test once in my Math class in high school. Sometime later, I got better at Math in high school. I went from an F to an A eventually. It's all about the mindset, failure is an opportunity to learn and grow from your mistakes. Not to give up and convince yourself it's just not meant to be. For now on, whenever I fail in life, I see failure as a teachable moment. To improve my quality of life.
I can certainly relate to poor grades in math. Had to work hard for a B in college algebra but I got there. If I hadn’t studied 3 hours a day it wouldn’t have happened
I had zero motivation during online school. I basically lost a semester. Got only half of my work done and I feel awful. But now I am so pumped to do better. I can’t ever get the lost time back but I believe I can look back at it and tell myself: «never again.»
I've failed more this year than in any other year. It's been hard. I've lost so much but at the same time gained so much and learnt so much about myself. I've been an emotional yo yo. It's less frown a pond if you are doing something in uncharted water or you didnt have someone to go to for info. I hear young folks saying, I'll learn it the hard way, not if your informed. Jordan failures was at a GAME a GAME. Love has some basic human treatment guidelines, but failure in love that was not effected by basic rules, then it is a learning lesson and cant be judged by others. FAILURE can be avoided in most circumstances, when your more informed. Knowing is half the battle GI JOE!

Tell that to someone who is trying to swim for their lives on a sinking ship or is liable to end up starving and freezing if they should fail to get a job of any sort or achieve academic success. Being hungry and cold is a very real reality for countless people who have no safety net whatever and exceeding in their studies or career is the difference between having food and not having it. These pep talks with their generalizations may be beneficial to some but not all. They are for those given an infinite number of chances, and not all of us have infinite opportunities to try again. Confidence can become a trap all its own right. And persistence can cost you everything you own trying to improve your situation. I failed algebra four times and four is all I got due to the three strike rule and the additional leeway. Four is the maximum, and I don't have an infinite well of money to throw at it. Why would I be studying higher math I am inept at if I did?

It's less frown a pond if you are doing something in uncharted water or you didnt have someone to go to for info. I hear young folks saying, I'll learn it the hard way, not if your informed. Jordan failures was at a GAME a GAME. Love has some basic human treatment guidelines, but failure in love that was not effected by basic rules, then it is a learning lesson and cant be judged by others. FAILURE can be avoided in most circumstances, when your more informed. Knowing is half the battle GI JOE!
I just failed for the second time but I hope in three months I can successfully get the job as a police officer
Me going through the 5 stages of grief the day before I get my circuits unit test back after I did the test while knowing absolutely nothing and bullshitting 90% of the thing
Failure is not fatal
@tigerarmyrule Does arithmetic cut it?
@tigerarmyrule What else is there?
