- In Dan's teen years, he was afraid to fail. This fear led him to quit sports he enjoyed, and not try in school. A quote by Theodore Roosevelt, however, sent his life on a new trajectory. Dan embraces failure now, including trying something completely new at the end of the talk: stand-up comedy. Dan lives in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin and works as assistant news director and evening anchor for WJFW Newswatch 12. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
This resonates with me due to failing, lacking intelligence, lack of a growth mindset, caring what others think, self-worth, and more.
I think that is preaty smart to recognize your problems, hope you're doing well.
You write intelligently, I'm sure you can improve anything you work on hard :)
I do know one person who failed, the sound guy.
Yea! We can view it as a fail. We can also view it as a charming, humanly moment❤️
@@h1ph0p10 right?? I could still hear the audio.
@@13htorrespr 🥰👌🏼
This was great! Thanks and I love the fact that you used yourself to show us how to face fears!! This actually really helped me so I’m grateful!
Once i was feared from failure i just constantly ruminate about my parents, and other people's thinking but now i reduced it so much by improving myself not caring about others and living my own life. Even i used to think about my thinking constantly but Alhamdulilah life becomes better and easy with the passage of time. Left the things which God forbade make friends started sitting with them the university life which i used to scare so much now try to go there despite whatever my feeling. It was my journey. Ignore my writing 😢
برافو عليك❤❤❤
yes i just read ur 1st and last sentence

I love this! This is exactly what overcoming fear is!
❤️
Great talk that emphasizes the importance of embracing failure as a part of life and growth.
The background voices were annoying. 😢😢

@@krembryleSo, non asian
😂
Yes Asians have some serious issues 😢
This was great!
This is brilliant.
I am terrified. I wanna be the topper of my college . I was second 🥈 in my freshman year. I don't do that again. Because, because since high school it been 4 year in row i am second 🥈😭 . what can I do ? to rid myself of my fear. and convince myself that it is possible.
You must have documented some goals, if not document it.
Then make sure the goal post does not shift.
Example
Today I will study and revise Regression Analysis
End of today, big success right? So tomorrow I will study Correlation, and include 2 more areas of Statistics..
There, I have just shifted my goal... You aim for something you are not capable of.
But if today I have learnt Regression Analysis
End of today, wow that was success. Tomorrow I will dig a bit deeper and understand it completely.. That should not move the goal post and would lead you to your original goal.
Thank you
@@pratimroy9437 . I can't thank you enough 🩷
because is myself I feel freedom
What you on bro?
Im fear of failure and rejection😢 how to over come it??
Like he said, do not place the worth upon succeeding or your performance. All you have to do is go for it, because that is where your value and worth is.
This is helpful

Well, watching them melt away within 48 hours felt so good, and yes, I used what I mentioned the other day. It actually took a bit more to make them totally disappear, I just go’ogled Melissa Thanderski and the pain unexpectedly disappeared so quickly.
wtf is hapend to sound
The sound guy failed
people is 20 years faster
Hey, thanks sound guy ! Clearly you aren’t a perfectionist. Good on you for not caring about failing. Because Evidently you really failed here 😂
...........
I failed to listen right through 😅
You should leave and separate from people who live in fear of failure ...because my husband has fear of failure i left him
Broo.. u are a coward. Ur partner needed emotional support from u. And u left him? Are u serious. Imagine urself in that situation.
He does not want to do anything in life and I have supported him for 3 years. He only did school till 6th Grade and he never liked studies.
He is 39 years now and only did jobs as kitchen help all his life.He is never in the mood to study and tears up out of fair of failing exams. He does not want any type of course or education and has made his life a passtime.
He tears up everything and I have explained to him but he does not want to understand. He only wants to work and run to friends ,nothing else.
Or chatting with his friends or family ...he keeps telling me what the point is in education and I did not come up in life.He avoids any type of training out of fear of failing ...
