i was helping a friend with an issue similar to this and it turns out the 3d importer in roblox studios was actually messing up the normals (it flipped both the back faces and the split normals of the certain parts on the model), this issue is new to me and i don't really know the exact cause of it yet but it was fixed by checking invert negative faces in the file geometry option when importing. I will make a video on it if i find an exact reason on why it happens.
Its better to do recalculate outside because if you do flip then everything will be flipped around including the colors of your object and if you choose flip and you had any faces that werent transparent then that would flip and it would be transparent thats why if you do recalculate outside you will keep thje color and only the transparent parts will fix
thats true and i forgot to mention that in the video, i generally always use recalculate outside but this is specifically for when the entire model is red, mainly cuz sometimes blender calculates things wrong and makes outside actually turn inside and that can really mess up a model if you didn't see it coming, happens to a lot of my low poly model (ik it's generally caused by a hole in the model or non-manifold but sometimes blender just acts weird). but yea you're right
try checking invert negative faces in the file geometry option when importing. if that does not work you can also try turning on double sided in the object's property to (usually for sure) take away the issue but might end up adding a bit of lag, make sure your object is 3d as well and not a plane (a hat might be red inside if it's just a 2d plane in the shape of a hat).
try checking invert negative faces in the file geometry option when importing, if that still doesn't work and the model looks all blue in blender then it's some issue's i don't know about sorry

thank youuuuu my hero
You legend, thanks a lot man
Thank you so much for this. Ive had to make few remodels of this tail ive been working on. This video really helped me.❤

Alright, thank you man i didnt know that 👍
Thanks man i was doing a commission and i didint know how to fix the issue so thank you :)
thx a lot ! i've been wondering for so long why does this happen and how to fix it. it was very helpful !
this is pretty helpful, but every time I take a look it is all blue but still does not render correctly, yet I cannot figure out the problem at all

bro in blender its all blue, but in studio it still is messed up, also the parts that are weird and flipped have no shadows
try checking invert negative faces in the file geometry option when importing
@ thx i figured it out, when importing to roblox theres is a option to invert negatives, thx though ill sub
So helpful ❤
worked. thank you
I made a hat, the inside of the hat (like under inside) it's red. How do I fix that
your hat is probably a flat 2d shape, try adding a solidify modifier to the hat and see if that fixes it
For me its blue in blender but has the problem in roblox
try checking invert negative faces in the file geometry option when importing, if that doesn't work then i dunno
But my Faces are blue, and it still is a transparent.
try checking the invert negative faces option in the file geometry when importing
ty brooooo
Based kaiju
doesnt work
