Sorry for the loss of your pet, mate. I had an awesome Pit Bull (when I was still married) and I hear ya - it was a difficult loss, but also a bit of relief in the final months. Dogs are awesome, but we only get to have them for a short while. Sounds like some great things coming for the channel!

G'day mate. I found your channel because my daughter is about to do the Ridesafe course at Murray Bridge. The videos you made with your partner were pretty helpful for me working out what to teach her. Our border collie is just 3 months old and already welded into our lives... I can imagine it's very hard to say goodbye... Hope you make a video about the toyrun in a few weeks... I'll be a marshall this year. Safe travels.

Welded is a very accurate description of BC ownership. We really miss our little man. But try to get a dog fix from every other owner we see. Your youngster will be full on but amazing I’m sure. Did you go boy or girl?
I know of all your thoughts and feelings on losing your friend. We had two Collies, both around 15 years each. We also know of your restrictions, as you say, as they got older. We never left ours at home our first, Dan, even came on our honeymoon with us, he then went in the lorry with me everyday too, such loyalty I don't think I'll ever see again. We have already decided not to have another dog as the emotional wrench for us very dramatic. All the very best to you both. Ride safe and happy too.

@@TheRiderGuider All good Neil even with 40 thousand extra visitors here on our little community of about 75 people. Had not long been out to find security chasing a young lad away across our land. They were accusing him of trying to get drugs in, I could see the kid was no druggy and as they 'escorted' him away I knew they were wrong, so got on my bike to find him been told he'd got to leave, his mates were inside but he did not have a ticket which at £160 was not surprising. So I says to security what if he's got a ticket to which they say but he hasn't got one, I asked the drug dog woman there if he was free of drugs to which she says he's never seen drugs in his life, so I took one of my tickets from the topbox and gave it him! I felt bloody fantastic as I rode back. Good deed done! All the best to you both.

Dogs become part of the family very quickly and is so sad when they pass. Enjoy your new freedom but never say never on a future 4 legged buddy.
One day maybe, but probably rescue an oldie that needs a couch and a family.
