You are fantastic, Sorin, Sir. I watched your video and fixed my weak to no Wi-Fi signal when my Toshiba Satellite laptop was away from the router. I found that the antenna lead wires to the Wi-Fi card were not connected, which were hidden by black tape and escaped my eyes. I connected them (both of them) and now the signal strength is full when the laptop is away from the router. Your demonstrations are priceless. I have already subscribed to your channel long ago and have clicked "Like". Thanks a lot for your valuable teaching; learning some thing new everyday from your videos. Your videos are entertaining too.
I was ready to shell out money for a replacement antenna set, but within 3 minutes I switched the cables, booted back my computer, and now I have full connection strength! Thank you!

Still enjoying, and learning from, your lessons. Last week i actually needed to replace the WIFI-adapter of an Asus laptop. Signal was sometimes weak and intermittant, antennas were ok. First time in years i encountered a defective Wifi adapter. :)
This method really really worked. I suffered 3 years with weak signals on my laptop I couldnt get enough signals even if I was close to my router.... but when I tried this method, my laptop is catching signals from all neighbours.. Thanks alot man..

This worked. The video could have been 1 min. Just switch the wires on the wifi card and you will be back in business. I sent the computer to dell to fix and they couldn't figure it out. Was about to throw away the computer, but thanks to this video it is fixed!

Man... I was struggling with a New Dell Precision 7750 (a fkng 3000 dlls model)... very bad reception even with the modem really close... it really worked for me... I don´t care about the warranty now, but I got Much better connection right now.

I replaced my screen and I think I damaged my main cable and it's not detecting any wifi at all and when I tried this, it immediately works

Great! It works. I had only -85 dBm before and now at least -74 dBm (less value is better) signal strength after plug out terminal 1 and let only terminal 2 connected to the internal antenna.

I took apart my laptop to try get to the fan and clean it. Once I put it all back together again including plugging the WiFi card back in, the signal was extremely weaker, I tried changing the cables but that hasn’t worked. Did I break something? Should I replace the WiFi card?

there are around 10 wifi signals around me .
i have a 2 laptop for some reason one laptop doesn't show all the wifi signals also the speed are slow i get around 1/3 of the speed i get at max sometimes i don't even get that. can swaping this fix the problem???
I have problem connecting to a wifi which signal is excellent says in options.It can locate it easily but only 10 m from modem its connected but there is no internet or it is too slow,I am only 1 using that modem.Also I have changed my lap screen so could it be I somehow damaged the wifi antenas,but yet why is signal excellent then and no internet.Please try to help me,Iˇhave tried ecerything,reainstall driver,change canals in modem etc...

You can, i just did it and it worked, only using the black one
On my old asus. I disconnected the antenna and it actually worked better. I got full bars and quicker response . Not sure why. The antenna were both broken and frayed.

sure i have same problem, case i open laptop many times and im sure i have changed places ow wires without know it how it really works, now i open again cause i see only my wifi not other and have very bad connection even on crazy fast internet modem i have :D

Why would someone replace the wifi antennas in their laptop? I can understand that upgrading to a better wifi CARD would improve one's wifi speeds, but what good does replacing the antennas do?
There are External USB antennas for wifi on laptops, and I just ordered one. BUT.. I can't think of a reason why someone would replace the internal wifi wires with different ones.

The problem with my antennas is they're not connecting, do you have any solutions to that ? Should i use duct tapes ?

What about wifi cards that only have one antenna wire? I have swapped single wire antenna position from "1" to "2" on the wifi card to fix weak signal. Does this indicate a problem with the wifi card itself?
I know this is old but have you figured it out? Mine has just one wire as well
@@franzfong489 Check to see if a new wifi driver exists for your wifi card. Updating the driver helped me in many cases. If updating the driver doesn't work or if an updated driver isn't available try replacing the wifi card. Another possibility is the wifi antenna wire is cut where is it routed behind the LCD or along the edge of the LCD housing. Good luck!
