Dasha, "poaching'' is the word you were looking for. For when you steal an employee from another company. The other is ''savor''. As in ''Savor the moment''.
"Oh bloody hell" Dasha... you have clearly been hanging around our Canadian cousin's a lot lol... that's a very British saying. Which is quite fitting for the movie 😉
@27:34. The Aston Martin from Goldfinger(1964), one of the best 007 movies! Sean Connery was the first and also my most favorite Bond. You should definitely see the ones he starred in starting with Dr. No(1962)!
27:33 It’s Scrabble tiles and their values. And at the end on the roof M’s real name is briefly visible on the box that Moneypenny gives Bond. Its’s Olivia Mansfield.
Oh! On M, her actress, Judi Dench had been in that role across two separate Bond actors to this point, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig, and about 20 years. She was getting old and struggling with reading lines from problems with her eyes. She went out great and in an impacful way.
Dasha, you’ve got to watch all the Bond movies…..but these with Daniel Craig are all one long story. You should watch them in release order. And the girl, Eve Money-Penny, she’s a classic character who’ll be back. Even in the old movies with other actors playing Bond, Money-Penny was always the girl flirting with Bond.
@1:43, the dual drum magazine holds many additional cartridges for the pistol. Its drawbacks include added bulk, weight, and lower reliability compared to the standard box magazine. If one needs that many shots, a submachine gun or pistol caliber carbine would be better. @33:14, using red light preserves one's night vision in dark conditions. It can take 20-30 minutes for one's eyes to adjust to the dark after being in bright lighting. @34:28, were you thinking of the word, "savor"?
Please, keep watching the series. Almost to the end! I am enjoying your reactions and commentary as well! I was impressed that you guessed that Silva was a former agent so quickly! Great job!
Bloody hell Dasha, you can't just start the (Daniel Craig) Bond movies with Skyfall, that's like reding a book starting from the middle. All the Daniel Craig Bond movies are one long story. ...Oh btw, the old stone house, the Skyfall estate, that is actually the 1st original James Bond actors house irl. Sir Sean Connery.
GCMG is The Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George, specifically the highest rank Knight/Dame Grand Cross, an award and chivalrous order, bestowed by the Monarch for extraordinary, non-military service in a foreign country. And the magazine used with the Glock 18 is called a C mag, and it is a double rotary magazine full of 9mm bullets.
When Bond cuts into his shoulder and pulls out those bullet fragments and get's them analyzed. They are from a depleted uranium shell from that Patrice guy. But in the beginning the girl shoots bond so how do those pieces trace back to him? Did I miss something? Did she not have her own service rifle and just happened to grab one of that guy's guns during the pursuit? They obviously knew who they were tracking, Bond and the girl both saw him. She almost kills 007 and Patrice was fighting with him but her shot launched 007 in the beginning. She shoots Bond and he falls of the train, then he is not dead, I am confused. I have seen this movie many times, if that was a mistake it is not a huge error in the plot and would not negate them from knowing who the guy was I just wan't to know.
I was about to call it a night, and then THIS came up! It’s Saturday tomorrow, I have no plans, I love this movie and I love your reactions. It’s a no-brainer…. ❤️🥂
The reveal of "Moneypenny" was obviously lost here, pre-Daniel Craig Moneypenny was a staple, always flirting with Bond while he waited to see M, but never going further.
Dasha, I would truly love it if you watched every Bond film but as the franchise is 60 years old and has over 25 films (26 official plus some unofficial ones), I could see that could be a daunting task. So if you'd rather do a selection of the Best of Bond or a few from each of the actors that have played him, I'm sure all the Bond fans that are members of your UA-cam and Patreon channels would love to tell you which ones you should watch. Maybe do a poll?...😂😊❤
Dasha, when Bond says "What makes you think this is my first time?" he isn't referring to torture. Think about it...Silva has been caressing his legs...😢😮😅
You're right, the exchange between Moneypenny and Bond should have been lighthearted and an obvious opportunity for comedy relief, but they went cold and weird with it.
What I would say Dasha is if you’re going to do more Daniel Craig Bonds, it’s best that you watch Spectre then finish with No Time to Die since they form one continuous story.
Dasha, if it makes you feel better...Dame Judith Dench played the role of M for every Pierce Bronson film thru this film so she played the role for a total of 8 or 7 other films so there are plenty of Bond films made that you can enjoy her as the character.
there is Quantaum of Slace thats in between Casino Royale and this movie. The next movie after Skyfall is Spectre which wasn't that great and then No Time to Die which a lot of people liked but i thought it wasnt anything special but it would be a good idea to watch Quantum of Solace before seeing the next two films as they are all connected.
Soldiers use red lens lights mostly because they don’t affect your night vision as much as white light does. So, soldiers will be able to see better in darkness because their pupils will remain dilated.
GCMG = Knight Grand Cross Order of St Michael and St George or in Yes, Minister = God Calls Me God. Daniel Craig is a Companion of the Order and an honourary Commander in the Royal Navy
Moneypenny and Bond always had a flirtatious relationship, but never got together. In the 60-80s movies, she was always trying to get James, to propose, and he would just smile..
Актер Дэниел Крейг родился в 1968 году. Так что в этом фильме ему сорок четыре года. В 2024 году ему исполнится 56 лет. Actor Daniel Craig was born in 1968. So in this film he is forty-four years old. He will turn 56 in 2024.
Red light does not destroy your night vision. A glowing cigarette can be seen at over two kilometers distance in pitch black condition. And its mainly red.
Yep and even more deadly as you will die from any bite. With Crocs and Gators you might just loose a limb. The venom and bacteria in a dragon there is no known cure for.
The S word you wanted was Savor, like favor or flavor. Red light isn't used because it doesn't travel as far. It helps, but that's not the reason. It's used because red light won't ruin the eye's dark adaptation. This is why you see astronomers with red flashlights and red lights in darkrooms when people develop pictures. Most red lights are dim, which is why they don't travel as far. Guns will shoot underwater. As long as there is a good seal between the bullet and the casing, they will fire just fine. They won't go very far, though. Usually just a few meters. Bullets fired from above water down into it only go about 2 meters before they get torn apart.
The eyelashes have been very distracting lately. I feel like Austin Powers seeing a mole, or seeing a car crash... it's disturbing but I can't look away😅
Dasha, you started this series too late. To really enjoy James Bond you need to start at the beginning. You can start with the Sean Connery but I like the Pierce Brosnan ones more.
Dash ya some gal love ya reactions, but yav got to start bond from the beginning sweet heart, all us bond fans wish we could just jump into sky fall lol
Wait what you jumped a movie Daniel Craig is a reboot of the franchise the 5 films are one continuous story doesn't matter if one is weaker than the other it's one story I'll pass.
Craig-Bond movies were never the same after the GFC. They stopped being movies in their own right and became meta-commentaries on the Bond mythos (which might've been okay once, but not three times in a row), and they became all weepy and self-pitying, which made them a chore to sit through. They got so close, too: If they ditched the shaky-cam, Quantum of Solace would basically be a perfect Bond movie.
21:04 "that's what she said. ok, i'm going to stop."
the moment she thinks it and starts to smile... 😊
‘Oh bloody hell!’ You’re turning into an honorary Brit.
3:42 "ohh, well shit. well, that's her last day on the job i guess." 😆

Dasha, don't worry about forgetting words. We all do and call it "tongue tied". I love your English. 👍
@27:34. The Aston Martin from Goldfinger(1964), one of the best 007 movies! Sean Connery was the first and also my most favorite Bond. You should definitely see the ones he starred in starting with Dr. No(1962)!
You only see the Bentley in from Russia with Love right from the books.
very obscure fact, but Barry Nelson was the first bond
22:34 "I was hungry. I'm not anymore."
Dasha, your comments continue to get better and funnier. Keep it up!
27:33 It’s Scrabble tiles and their values. And at the end on the roof M’s real name is briefly visible on the box that Moneypenny gives Bond. Its’s Olivia Mansfield.
Definitely keeping an eye on Dasha for these reactions, can't wait to see her get to the classics ❤
The actress has played M since Pierce Brosnan's Bond, so she's had an awesome run.
Oh! On M, her actress, Judi Dench had been in that role across two separate Bond actors to this point, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig, and about 20 years. She was getting old and struggling with reading lines from problems with her eyes. She went out great and in an impacful way.
This is not only one of the best Bond movies ever, its one of the best action movies ever. Just top tier movie!
That's Casino Royale.

Glad you enjoyed it Dasha 😃 you’re the best ❤️
Your reactions are the best. "Saving the world and hot girls" lmfao
19:00: This set is partly CGI and partly street sets. It's based on the island of Hashima on the coast of Japan.
This is the best Bond film starring Daniel Craig. Great reaction! 👍🏿
10:04 ..."Cool gadgets? Cool gadgets?"... Not in the Craig era, sorry to say... Cool gadgets were common between the Connery and the Brosnam eras...

Dasha getting excited over the shoot"em up pictures 😂😂😂 it's adorable seeing her face get all shocked
One of my favourite lines in any Bond film...
"Welcome to Scotland"

Judi Dench will always be M for me, because she was M in my first James Bond movie Goldeneye. 🥰
" well not tiny; medium sized ! Haha " AND that's what sheeeee said! Seriously. 😅
"You might want a vacation" hahahahaha

I vote yes to continuing with the Craig saga, continue with Spectre.

It's a shame you missed out on the one between this and Casino Royal - Quantum of Solace
Bravo.
Not going lie Dasha was English is like 20x better than it used to be I barely could understand her before

+1 on the red light use in military. In my experience that is the case.
20:20 it doesn’t mean Bond is tight to a chair the first time 🫢😉😉
great film and starts to explain some things in the books better than the earlier films.
