Looks great Steve scenery all takes time like the layout. It gets this hot out I’m going down stairs to work on my too stay out of the extreme heat Have a great weekend and the rest of your day enjoy Great update 😎🚂🫵TSM
Thanks Mike! Yes, this heat is brutal. I wish I had a nice big basement to build an empire in. I like running trains so a 50 x 40 continuous run would be amazing. Enjoy your modeling time!
@@tracksidemike My oldest son has been trying to convince me to move to Colorado. I'd do it just to have a basement. haha. Hopefully it's not 118 way up north in your area. Sit yourself in front of a fan, have a cold drink and stay cool.
Looks good to me! Thank God for the a/c to work again, nothing good working in a hot room 😅 trial and error is what I say. I was in the process of building a train layout 15 years ago I started, I was inexperienced then, I torn it up years ago to start all over again, I saved all the track buildings etc…luckily nothing to extreme to redo. It’ll be fun to rebuild something in the near future. I’ll be watching 😎
I appreciate you watching. Yes, without the AC the layout would have to sit until winter, but with it running I'm trying to get some work done. I hope to have regular updates. Good luck with your layout!
Subbed you up, very interesting...I never respected the SP because my dad worked at BN and I worked at CC-IC....I just left after 21 years and started a trucking company...I have yet to settle down but been to California a lot and saw the old SP....I model America Latina Logistica, because I have family that worked there and I like the fact of Spanish locomotives running with American and African types....
To each his own, there's plenty of room in the hobby for whatever you want to do. For myself, I can't image doing anything but the SP. Thanks for the sub!
Thanks! I'm motivated by old age, especially the house and cars. I'm concerned if I don't get it done now, I'll be too old and it'll never get done. So, I'm at it for at least a couple hours every day. I dream of a day I'll wake up with nothing to do. Haha 😄
Thanks, it's nice to be getting some scenery done. Summer in AZ is crazy hot. Last year we had 55 days over 110, and we'll probably be higher than that number this year. My oldest has been trying to get me to move to CO. The train room is separate from the house, it's in my back porch.

Really appreciate you uploading this demonstration, and that section looks fantastic.
I appreciate it! Nothing looks like dirt more than dirt. :)

That’s some really nice work 👍🏽💯…you’re a natural ballaster 😊…
Thanks! I think the secret for trying something new is take it slow and get a feel for it. I appreciate you watching!
Steve ….. everything looks great 👍 and staying cool !! I am in my basement working on my model railroad too , also to keep out of damn heat !!!
I hate summer in AZ! I'm envious of your basement. 🙂Enjoy your modeling time Kraig!

Looks really nice. Car, House and layout. Don’t know how you find the energy. 😂

Good job on the scenery and ballast and thank god the a/c is working, 116 degrees? I’d be moving, lol.
