    My chiropractor uses those techniques on me, including the tools. It is painful and I bruise afterwards, but the relief I feel from chronic stiffness and knots is immediate and drastic. It's worth suffering through the treatment for the greatly increased mobility and relief I feel afterwards.

      I can't wait for have mine. I am also suffering from stiff neck almost 8 years now. And now I feel small knots because of stiffness. I had first massage yesterday. They open my muscles without using any oil. They decided to give me Gua Shah in my next appointment. I hope it work for me as well. I am fed up with this stiffness

      Your coloration shouldn't bruise though. This is more petichiae, and goes away after a few days with no soreness upon palpation. If you are bruised from this and notice pain when you press on the red areas your practioner may not have done it properly.

    After weeks of battling with a stiff neck that would not ease despite visits to chiropractor and general massage, I happened upon your video. I have to admit I was skeptical given the various therapies I had pursued. However, since my wife had purchased a Gua Sha stone and I was desperate for relief I figured why not. All I can say is THANK YOU! I finally found relief after just 10min of Gua Sha and it was clear I had a chromic condition since things lit up and there was allot of petechiae. Needless to say I am now a firm believer in the need for such massage therapy.

    I have stiff neck due to stress and anxiety. I have bought Gua Sha today to give it a try, and omg, even after one night session of Gua Sha massage I feel such a relief in my neck area. Before I only used my hands when massaging my neck, but it didn't work as well as this. I'm honestly astonished. And super happy! To anyone dealing with a stiff neck - you should definitely try this.

      I love Gua sha when it comes to learning the benefits for health! That part couldn't be more important. I actually use my steel tools as in place of the stone tools because I get better results with it. You will have to let me know if you add Gua sha in!

    hi i'm in china right now and went to do some guasha. For more than 10 years one side of my neck is way bigger than the other maybe because i use to play computer games like 16-18 hours a day lol. And yes i checked at doctor to see what was wrong, they scsnned the area and said nothing is worng, just like that, but the funny thing is when i was kid didn't have it.
    anyway went fro guasha, and the person scraped both side initially and found big knots on both side of the neck. but she did the not that bigger side more and said that its that side thats causing the other side to be bigger because it restricts blood flow.
    What do you think about what she said?
    also that side that she did felt a lot better after and a little more range of motion.
    She said she will do the other side next week when i come in.
    she also said because i had this for a some years, will take quite a bit of session to fix it.
    any advise?

      I’m sorry about your chronic pain. Seriously- no one understands how debilitating it can be. It is soo good for neck pain. I saw your other comment so I’ll address it here too. So you have tried it, and I’m not quite catching what parts you are having problems with? So you slept better right? You have released a bunch of metabolic waste into your system to clear, and sometimes that can be tiring for those of us with chronic pain. So yes that is normal. You don’t even have to do it very hard to have that side effect. Did it help your pain?

    The problem is almost always in the middle of the muscle, can i know your source for this?

    • @marcusmjx740
      @marcusmjx740 2 роки тому +1

      I don't have any source, but based on my experience, it's true for my sternocleidomastoid muscle when gua sha is done on it. The middle always hurts the most.

    So I’m having a lot of neck and shoulder pain just like this lady in the video and I called a practitioner today to have the gua sha massage and she does not recommend me having it. She said that Americans cannot handle the pain, that she only does it for Asian clients. She herself is Asian. I’m confused. And looking at multiple videos I think this would benefit me a lot and I’m wondering why she will not do it. Instead, she recommended a traditional massage and cupping.

    Doesn't that redness hurt?

    • @Zionsedgemassage
      @Zionsedgemassage  5 років тому +3

      Hi Daniel - It's not really redness that hurts - It's fascial adhesions, or areas that are stuck. You can have redness and no pain. It hurts worse in areas with more fat as well, like the legs.
