I watched this series years ago and was thrilled to see it again. His stories , the wonder of the mythologies of different cultures across the earth
It has inspired me with wonder and inspiration..the drive to life..to live

As a psychologist, I see him as a hero on a number of different levels..a modern Buddha 😊 enlightened and compassionate..a teacher/rabbi

The way he speaks of mythology, its value, is what I came to find in Ayurveda's teachings. To come upon this interview today is for me a True Treasure, as I rember how I used to visit The Alexandria Bookstore in Pasadena CA each week to rent a video tape from these interviews. Yes, this dates me quite a bit .... still my soul knows no difference. Thank you for sharing it!

Campbell is likely the most significant psychologist and story teller of the 20th century. He describes the human condition across cultural stages with brilliant nuanced perspective. Thanks for sharing.

Culture is arbitrary, the things that never change are the significant things. These things are not relative to cultures, they are universally true.

I believe it's a manifestation of processes logically playing out. It's not chaos in terms of randomness, although it might seem that way from our limited prespective. Everything is accounted for and weighed by consciousness. God is curious. God is seeking more and more understanding. We often suffer through this process. God wants to know what motivates everything and how to change it for the better, to improve it, if possible. Sometimes people have to hit bottom before they turn their life around. Intelligence is the only thing discoverd by God, thus far, that can eventually overcome the ignorance that causes us to harm one another. Truly balanced intelligence can eventually ascertain the dynamics required for mutual respect for all beings feelings
