Not when those officers intentionally cornered my friends on that highway knowing there'd be no escape routes and convenient overpasses to rain down rubber bullets and pepperspray from. Most of those friends, including a large gathering of pacifists, were part of a "die-in" earlier that day in front of the Liberty Bell -- a silent and peaceful demonstration. I know of at least 2 people who were walking to work near there and we're still attacked by the PPD and military. They had nowhere to escape from. Officers and military repeatedly assaulted civilians, medics, and journalists for peaceful demonstrations (and observation or medical care thereof) protected by the First Amendment.
Meanwhile, the Proud Boys and their ilk were high-fived by cops just down the street from where I'm sitting. They were casually walking around Clark Park with very large weapons (where mostly minority children were playing) and stating that they were there to "clean up the park". They were hostile to my Black, Brown, and visibly LGBT neighbors while unsuccessfully attempting to give water and food to my cishet white and white-passing neighbors who stood up to those violent individuals. It's no coincidence that Mike Pence and Betsy DeVos showed up in my neighborhood shortly after unwelcomed by actual residents.

There ya go bud.
@@mburnett93 you need to read the articles you represent. Because tear gas, cannot be used as a method of "warfare". Crowd control in an occupied zone such as a protest in Bagdad is NOT a method of warfare. It is a crowd control! So again another liberal who thinks he knows everything. Almost every nation in the world uses tear gas for crowd control, riots and unlwaful demonstrations. If that is the case then how is it unlawful? I wouldn’t say it’s a coward move move because in situations everyone would a take the advantage if the protesters had the advantage and killed these cops it would be a different story
Police who practice militaristic brutality against protestors are in fact cowards and bullies.
Well, one has to assume they deliberately trapped people and gassed them with tear gas as a collective punishment.

In Germany there was an incident (called the Love Parade Incident 2010) where 21 people have been walked to death (more people commited suicide later) because of a panic and bad safety measures. It's sickening to see, that this panic is police-induced without care for what could happen to the people. This can become really harmful psychologically and physically really fast. You can clearly see, that the police isn't about protecting anymore.
Ironic how you talk about suicide because police suicide has jumped recently and people have the right to just leave the riots and protests here in America, that's a terrible comparison
@@wof3n So after watching this evidence you still call this "riots". Iam german too and I would say that this comparison is totally legit and has nothing to do with police suicide. Besides all the racism in the US police I also think that the US is not treating their policement right but that dosen't excuse all this bad behaviour. Also you are saying "the people can always leave the riots"!? How can you say that after watching this video. In front and in the back they had policement on the right side a huge wall and they ran to the only place possible. I don't say germany is perfect but I think the US is done. Also its always hard to get together when one side is walking around with a mashine guns and the others with spray cans and skateboards...
