Convection oven is the word for which you were searching. A neoprene toe cap over the sock will give you a little toe room, just the way the pressure point shim works. I use silicone finger tip gloves which I bought at Aldi to handle the boots till they are on. Good tip on the neoprene straps. You guys are great! The Hans and Franz of inline skating.
I finally brought my first pair of speed boots and tried heatmolding myself. It's actually super easy and very forgiving, and it improved fitting dramatically. Thanks the powerslide team for making the video.
Hi, great vid and instructions, I currently have a pair of Powerslide Arise and was wondering if they are heat mouldable just like the ones in the video.
Is it ok to heat mold Powerslide speed boots at 110°C with the original laces in? Most Powerslide speed skate boots come with waxed laces. Seems important to have some laces in, so the boots can snugged onto your feet promptly out of the oven, but some comments have said waxed laces can be affected or make a mess.
I have a boot that were supposed to be 7.5 mens but I believe they were women's. I have stretched the boot about an inch and finally gotten it off my toes but the heel is too rounded and snug. It kinda cones down into the bottom of the slate I need to make more room. How can I do this and only increase the bottom heel areas with out it affecting what I already fixed
Guys, really interesting video! IS it applicable to glass-fiber reinforced plastic - Next boots in particular? Do you know if powerslide has this instruction somewhere in the skates documentation?

Hey, I have an old pair of Powerslide Vision 2011 size 41 in my storage. Ive grown out by one number, and i would like to ask in its possible to heat it so they get a bit bigger? Great video
Because I have a wide foot, most boots hurt my feet no matter what. Will the carbons fit my feet comfortably after heat molding regardless of how narrow they originally come in?
Hi, good question. You can't make a narrow carbon shoes become super wide. Still you need to find the best fit for your feet and then a good adjustement can be done. Sorry , i don't know if you speak about racing or other segment. For exmple , in racing if you have narrow fit a XXX 195 is best but it will not work if your feet are super wide....then we would suggest an icon shoes which is widder naturally and can adjusted correctly to super wide.... in urban etc we can have similar product range to propose this. Exemple an HC EVO can become quite wide if needed.

Hi! I bought USD Carbons XXI! How do you heatmold aggressive skates? Do you remove the plastic soul plate and plastic cuff? Do you put the frame without the soul plate or with it? Temperature and time? Thanks!!!

''..Keep the frame always on and strongly mounted.." I would like to do that with my Aspire 125 Marathon, but the frame + shoe + high cuff makes it very high. Oven not big enough... Would laying the skate on its side be a solution, or will that burn the fabric? Would you perhaps have a suggestion for me?
hi i bought the powerslide evo pro 90, in size 39 with 6mm longer than my foot, the number 38 felt too tight. however the skates are too wide, and the toes move too freely. is this big difference in width between 38 and 39 normal? if the thermoform will adhere better to the foot or not tighten more than it currently is? thank you very much, I hope to receive an answer
Hi Marta, heatmolding will help a bit to correct pressure point, it can influence also a bit the width of a skate. It's easier to make it widder than thinner.
Hooray... thank you for the vid... I hope this does the trick.. I chickened out and only did 15 min at 180°F... molding one now on foot... waiting on 2nd one... do you recommend baking 1 at a time? Or can I eventually do both at a time?
I just bought some HC Evos. They are giving me uncomfortable pressure on the sides of my outside toes. I’m confused though because I have a narrow foot. Will heat molding them get rid of this?
@@ACEsevaeron I know it's a bit late, but according to the specs I've seen it says it's a carbon skate that is indeed heat moldable. I don't know anything about those types of skates, but I assume it's the same process.
I recently purchased the Puls 125 which is heat mouldable at 80-90°C. I followed this process and left them in for 15 mins each boot, waited for them to cool on my feet however the boot did not become pliable as the boots in this video and while I did feel like it helped a little its still not fully the shape of my foot. Did I do something wrong? Or is this boot just not as mouldable as others? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Hi Jay, it should be normally. If you follow the video i guess you did all good. Maybe get help from a friend to push on the shell (using glove) during the cool down process to bring the shell closer in some part if needed. Heatmolding is sometimes not a one time try. It can be done 2 or 3 times to make it perfect... but make sure there is pressure form outside if you need to make it more tight. Pascal Briand

I have Powerslide Puls trinity 125. Are they heat mouldable? You have mentioned in one of the comments that 2019 are and 2018 aren't. How do I know whether they are 2018 or 2019 model??
@@PowerslideInlineskates thank you! The skates are pretty tight on my toes, which causes a little pressure. Is it possible do make them wider by heat molding or is this part of the stiffer bottom carbon?
What's the handkerchief for? When the shoe is warmed up, all pressure points should give way. It's somehow illogical to me. Please Powerslide, make better buckles like Seba, for example. Putting on and taking off the Powerslide boots is really annoying. My Seba boots still have the original straps and on my HC EVos they are constantly worn out. Getting the lower buckle back on is a nightmare every time you've tightened it. The upper strap gets in the way when lacing and the upper buckle rattles.
...guys, after you remove the wheels, do you place the boots in the oven with or without the axle bolts in the frame? In this video, one boot+frame has bolts in place, while the other does not. What is the correct procedure?
Chee Weng Choong You shall check in the manual, but if I remember correctly the recommended temperature was lower than 120 °C. In any case, just follow the manual. :)

Yes, easily. The ‘authorised’ Luigino Strut moulding method involves putting the boot inside an appropriate (provided) plastic bag which is heat resistant, and putting the boot inside the bag within hot water of the right temperature, ensuring the boot stays dry….

Heat molding is more instant and a lot better fit.
It would take months of skating to achive this via breaking in the boots.
