My Hero was written about Peter Stahl. Nirvana was very fan oriented, there's even videos of him interacting with fans like the one where he gives a kid drum sticks on his bday. Do you mean maybe he saw a band he wasn't in doing that early on in his career? Kind of confused here.
Dave Grohl seems to be just genuinely, the whole shabang, a good dude. Very collaborative, but also capable of his own singular artistic expression. He's a unique dude.
@@0.Kenshin I think my hero was actually written about the “ordinary man” at least that’s what Grohl said.
“Don’t fall off the stage, I’ve done that shit before! You don’t want to fall off the stage!”
Dave Grohl is the coolest human being alive! 😂💀
Haha. I wonder if he gets PTSD when they play this song. I actually saw their first performance back right after he broke his leg. Had no idea how it would go but it was electric seeing him in that motorized throne. How someone can demand that much energy while sitting down is amazing
Dave Grohl sold out to big pharma. F+#k Dave Grohl.
100% coolest!!!!
Yeah and played with a broken leg 🤘🏼
He's also slave to his handlers. Its pathetic.
I love how she’s like “Dammit, I’m walkin around this stage cuz I can”- 🏆🤘🏽
That's actually impressive it's not the easiest thing in the world to move around while you play.
YES!!!
This one of the main reasons i love Dave, he made that all about her.. she’s fuckin smashed it!
Nailing the pick up at the end…out of the break down…unrehearsed…that’s next level…BRAVO!
i bet dave said one day to himself: "'i'm going to be the coolest motherf&cking rockstar on earth" and he believed in it so hard it became reality.
Too bad he's a douche bag and tried to charge people that don't have the vaccine $1,000 per ticket to get in.
@Richard HarroldFunny, but the sheep with the vax are also testing positive for Covid. I'm more than happy to not take something that needs to be redone every 6 months and still doesn't work!!!
@@Random-bm7ho How about you get vaccinated then.
@Richard Harrold It been proven they people that have had covid do better with the varients. Than people with the vaccine.
@@Wargsy How bout you get better taste is music?
I dont even listen to rock and I'm a Grohl fan. He's a national treasure. That fan crushed it.
I'm a double grown ass man! This kicked the FKN macho out of me 😭 The spirit of everything about this video, the girl jamming her ass off, Dave, the Foos and fans... Everything made me feel good. Being good to ppl (everyone) shouldn't be in danger. WE have to get past this pandemic, get back to caring about ppl and having fkn fun...
It's (Life) going to be over soon, I hope ppl don't spend 10, 20 or 30% of their life pissed off at the world. This was pure joy. It's beautiful, priceless and rare. Carry on and be well.
I'm not even a foo fighters fan but boy does Dave know how to bring a smile to everyone's face.
This is a huge reason why I'm such a big foo fighters fan today. Dave and the boys giving the little people a chance to shine is just the best thing someone could do.
All of the Foo Fighters band mates seem like nice people, genuinely good dudes on top of rockin music. They are legends.
The hardest working and coolest guy in rock n roll. I love how he let's fan get a taste of what it's like to be in front of crowd. He's living his dream and shares it with others. Dave Grohl -Patron Saint of Bedroom Guitarists
Well said! And so true !
You could do a top 20 list of badass ways Dave keeps it real breaking his leg and finishing the show his battles with wesborro Baptist church and the way he mocked the superbowl for not actually letting them perform the goofed around with the guitars showing that none of there stuff was plugged in then just being cool to fans like this or using his celebrity to benefit others just an awesome dude and a great band
Dave is the greatest down-to-Earth legend of music history. No argue about it.
And Lauren did it great !!!👍👍She's LIT
Dude, Dave came through my mom’s job at Lowe’s! She would play FF for me growing up all the time. He had ordered a huge outdoor grill and while they were waiting for them to bring it out to load it in his truck he was just standing there having a casual conversation with her and another employee. She said he was so cool and acting like a regular person. Best day of her life.
Dave is a tad annoying, and his tunes are generic junk
@@barclaydonaldson8863 i bet you are fun at parties
He learned it from the man himself..... Dimebag fucking Darrell
What Dave and the FF give to their fans is so much more than just the music. Many thanks to them for bringing joy into the lives of others. They have late-middle-aged me shedding tears, because good people are needed now more than ever. Much thanks to all❤️
Hell yeah K great answer
This is why Dave and the guys are the epitome of what proper rock stars should be. The absolute pinnacles of not just musician's, but human beings as well.
Down to earth. Connects with the fans. Falls off stage, dislocates ankle, breaks leg. Stops the snow? Of course not. Brings medic on stage with him while he continues performing. Un. Fucking. Real.
Absolute legends. The whole lot of them.
Just Dave bein Dave. Hes the best. Don't really listen to their music so much as I'm a geezer. But I've seen enough of his personality and chutzpah to know that shit is genuine. Smart, funny, articulate, talented artist, family man and mamas boy who so far hasn't forgotten his beginnings. That's a win in my book. Oh and his ma drank beer with Green Day. How cool is that
I will keep an eye on this group from now on. I am not much into modern music, I like Classic Rock. But this is impressive!!
Same here, not a big Nirvana fan , or Foo Fighters, but this dude seems 100% genuine.well done Dave
she's a born entertainer!! The way she just nailed it is impressive
No matter how big he gets he is still just a music fan!! Love how he is always in it for the fans doing cool things like this. Solid guy for you!! 🤘
This is why Dave is a fricken legend. Always love seeing this he never forgot about what it means to be a fan 🤘
i liked when he called her fat at the end by telling security to give her a diet coke hahahahaha
@@stonecold5373 I’m not sure if he intended it to mean she’s fat...
@@stonecold5373 I don't think he meant that at all.
Stage is a dark place with occasional flashes of light You often can't hear what you're playing. When you can you can't hear what everyone else is playing.Dave Grohl is stood behind you, shouting. This girl smashed it.
Somehow I feel this does almost more than all the music charities do. Some kid sitting at home learning a song and playing it competently in front of 10,000 people has to be hugely motivating.
@cockyhemi-123 Why are you commenting then? What is your problem? Why are you here being joyless when the video is supposed to be fun? People are pathetic.
I’m surprised Dave didn’t ask “you know any other songs??” at the end and keep her on. She’s too good!!
That is one of the most joyous life-affirming things i've ever seen.
Awesome of this girl to let the Foo fighters play with her.....😎
“It’s nice to meet you...go get her a Diet Coke or somethin.”
I mean...I will always love you, Dave. Fuckin amazing.
Tears in my eyes now. Lauren rocked that. Amazing grace under pressure. She's going to be great at whatever she sets her mind to🙏
After T. Hawks awful, saddening, maddening passing yesterday... this right here, is how I will ALWAYS choose to remember the Foo Fighters. Rock Gods being awesome and sometimes making normal people like you and me feel like Rock Gods... if only for like 7 minutes or so. Also, this girl crushed it. RIP Taylor, and hang in there remaining Foo Fighters. The fans feel the pain right along with you.
The humility it takes for a band as big as Foo Fighters to allow a fan to play with them. Someone else already said it makes them smile to watch these videos where Dave brings a fan on stage to perform with them. Likewise. These videos are the best. Foo Fighters by far is one of the very best bands still playing today. They should be an example for aspiring rockstars. Looking forward to seeing FF again soon !!
These guys are just such good guys. Every teenager dreams of being on stage with their favorite band or making the big play in a sporting event. She got her moment. So awesome.
They say to never meet your heroes because they will disappoint you....but they can NEVER be said bout Dave Grohl...he is the most fantastic man in all of rock!!!🥁🎸
Not a fan of this genre of music but Dave Grohl is the one of the most genuine men to grace a stage and he loves giving someone in the audience a chance to play. A memory which will stay forever. Absolute legend
The Foo's and Dave are soo good at bringing fans to play with them.
So happy for this women to play with them.
The look on her face at the end says it all. This is amazing. Love everything about this.
Damn she was badass. How awesome was that for every single person there? Dave has become just an amazing human being over the years. I love seeing stuff like this it cleanses the pallet for sure.
dave grohl is the coolest rocker of all time. i love how he isn't all full of himself like most musicians. and includes fans on stage to jam with them. lol
I was in ABQ for the first leg of this tour and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this is Is one of the greatest concerts I’ve ever been to of any genre. No brings the same energy Dave does. Truly a rock icon!
You can tell she's a "bedroom" player, not a kid who's in a band and has played a lot of live shows (and knows how to rock out). That makes this even cooler because she still didn't choke! She rocked.
I'm not sure about that but either way it was amazing. She moved more than I do when I play not gonna lie haha.
That was cool!!
If that is the case, I really hope this gave her the confidence she needs to get on a stage. She rocked it.
Or she’s playing in front of a giant crowd and got a little neevous
@@Jboy19881 That's not really a thing if you're a "seasoned" performer. If she's been playing real shows for years she would have performed differently. Professionals can easily spot amateurs, in almost any profession... especially in entertainment because it takes time to develop stage presence and to learn how to work a crowd. But, she still rocked. That's the point.
Lucky young lady and she absolutely smashed it 👏🏻 kudos to the Foos for letting her jam with them 🤘🏻
That was so amazing the energy all around! She killed it and so did the foo fighters for allowin that dream of someones to come true! More bands need to do this kinda stuff!
I’ve said it before and will again, Dave Groehl is an awesome being! Like how he brings fans onstage and his personality and his place in music!!! One of the better musical influences in the world! Right there!! Rock on!!!!!
she has IT. Being THAT comfortable on stage with THAT band cant be taught!
I was amazed at her ease of being onstage. I thought to myself; "I think she's done this before."
No one in entertainment does something they can’t control. She is either known, fans submit video from different tour cities, or the promoter is tasked with picking someone they know from a good local band.
Whatever the method they use, it’s not random, improvised, and without an idea of how it will go…but it’s still fun!
For real.
She's definitely not as active as kiss guy running around stage. She's pretty calm, cool and collected.
@@kristianjohnson8787 nope. Last time they were in town, he brought up a 12 year old kid, and they played a Metallica song. You don't say you can play, when you don't, he'll boot you right off the stage.
Between watching this lady and Nandi, I just became a Foo Fighters fan! Dave is one awesome human! ❤❤❤🎼🎸🎸
His favourite song and he gets a fan up playing it. Doesn't get anymore Rock and Roll

There is just no other rock band out there like Dave and the Foo Fighters. Sure they are rock stars and all but in the end they are just one of us. They love rockin it out and just love spending the time performing for the fans. These guys love their fans like no other band out there. Simply the best!
@D M Eric Clapton said he wouldn't play for an audience who are only there because they've been jabbed. Better music and a better attitude. I know who I'd rather support.
I love her, she's scared shitless at first but powered through and crushed it
All I see is a band, not just performs, but having fun and a really good time with their fans. Man, I wish I was there.
I was at this show, it was amazing to see her play!! Dave Grohl is the best dude ever 🤘🤘
As a female electric guitarist who loves Foo Fighters, this is my absolute dream!!
She was spot on and looked the part and you wouldn't have known she wasn't part of the band, and stage presence to boot! Just brilliant and definitely a rock chick (if you're allowed to say that nowadays).

She owned that stage, that was awesome. Gotta love Grohl, such an amazing human being to make that kids dream a reality. She’ll be sharing this story for the rest of her life 🤟🏼🤟🏼
Even the little birdie was stoked. Someone was watching over them and was letting them know or something. Too iconic of a moment to not be if you believe in things like that. She absolutely crushed and I have the biggest smile for her and them. Seriously made my heart light up
She's gonna remember that moment for the rest of her life.
I've never seen an artist love his fans as much as they love him. Dave Grohl is a genuine and sincere bad ass! Every musician should take notes about this adoration for the fans that provide their careers.
Mad respect to you girl. I played bass in front of people all the time. If I had a chance to do it next to and WITH The Foo Fighters. I’m VERY SURE I’d choke. At least a lot! You naturally own the stage. Keep rocking 🙏🏻✊🏻🤘🏻🎶🎵🤘🏻😁💚
This is one reason Dave Grohl is one of my favorite musicians ever. He's always been great to his fans!
I loved this. She will for ever walk this planet remembering this evening and her children will watch this youtube video over and over. Well done.
so much skill and Joy on her side and from Dave So much tact and kindness and grace from helping her pose to diffusing her little trip to pumping her up but also keeping her focused conducting but not over directing and demonstrating physicality without being too touchy. Man I'm crying over here this is so beautiful
Foo Fighters are, and continue to be, the coolest band on the planet. And, that girl (Lauren?) crushed it. She was so relaxed and fit in perfectly. Not too much. Not too little. But, just right. So cool to watch!
I can't decide who's more badass: Foo Fighters or their fans.
Dave is a legend. I'm not a huge Foo Fighters fan, but Dave is all about his fans. He made this about the fan and her memory of this for life. 🎉❤
What a Legend Dave is! Props to the girl with the guitar.
