I'm a little late to the party on this. Just did this mod this weekend. Though I kept my pcb stock. The geekworm 1.5 did not work correctly. Had to use the V20 version. Along with the screen fix file from teamencoder, it worked great! I added the Marseille mCable Classic in line with the hdmi output. Gotta say, if you are keeping the pcb stock, this IS A MUST!!! Along with the ability to control the monitor settings, contrast, brightness etc. Adding this just rocks. It upscaled the image to true 1080p AND added anti aliasing. WOW! What a difference. Kept the pcb output in 720p so I didnt lose performance.
Any info on how you got the geekworm V20 to work? I can't seem to figure out the proper pin/plug configuration on the V20 to get the signal to the monitor.
For anyone looking for 32" monitor alternatives, I used the Viewsonic VX3276-mhd. This was a PERFECT fit with no decasing. I used the 1080p model, but the 2k model had the same dimensions
Well Doug I just ordered this monitor after watching this video. All of your other videos have been of great help to me (and can't thank you enough for answering previous questions I've had) and this seems pretty straight forward. I think I can handle removing a brace and flipping it over to be used in the back. :-) And de-casing wont be an issue.
That is one hot vpin! Love the space saving cabinet size combined with excellent playfield, backglass, and dmd ratios. You really knocked it out of the park, and I appreciate you taking the time to share how you did it and a complete parts list. Thanks!
Me too. I just found this thread and I have already odered everything including the A1UP AFM cab to mount it all in. I have built many MAME games but this as you say knocks it out of the park! Doug I hope you have time for me if I have questions!!!! Thanks so much!!!!
Excellent job, Doug! I really wish we had more options in the market. I would pay for a 1up (toy) virtual pin if it had a higher resolution 32" screen and priced around $1000. I feel it hits a perfect sweet spot between the minimal 1up and a much more expensive virtual pin.
Thanks for the guide on what you did. I was originally going to build a full size cab but I think the A1U frame will be plenty big enough for what I want and not take up too much room.
Your virtual pin videos are the best! They definitely pushed me to mod my AFM cab and I'm almost finished now. Just need to wire up the buttons & plunger and configure. Then install the 32" monitor in the cab. Everything has worked out perfect so far. That Acer is incredible in the back box. So easy. :-) And the PC mounting bracket underneath works awesome for the SFF computer I'm using too. Thank you for your videos! ;-)

Awesome video as usual. The v display you recommended for the stock monitor is perfect. I was able to change the colors and turn down the brightness. What a huge difference. It's a shame that they couldn't do this before they shiped this out from the factory. This 32-inch mod has got me tempted. Maybe down the road. Thank you for making awesome content and helping me mod my cabinet. Shout out to Nail Buster for being the man and providing us with the software to make this happen. If I could I would buy you a beer.
happy to hear you were able to get the monitor settings tweaked to your liking. Totally agree, Nailbuster's software is truly an amazing gift to the community, can't recommend it enough.
Thanks again for the Mod tips!! Just installed the 32" monitor and it really looks good, GREAT recommendation!! I'll be getting some Lexan/plexiglass instead of tempered/rolled glass because this will end up at our local Rec Center in Locust Point, Baltimore, MD, with lots of kids once COVID restrictions ease up. This will look great next to our 4 player stand-up Retro arcade/ 4 player stand-up Steam Bigbox arcade, 4 player motion arcade w/Xbox 360 Kinect running Aurora, and 7 player Rockband/Guitar Hero music Arcade. Will be adding two Sinden Lightguns to the Steam Arcade once they come in. If you're ever in the area feel free to check it out!! Thanks again!!
Thank you SO much for showing us how to do this. It looks amazing! By the way, I got my Marvel Pinball in, and found I can NOT see the DMD, so I'm in the process of prototyping a magnifying device to park in front of the DMD, so I can see it. It's pretty simple, just a couple of suction cup tipped toy arrows, and a pair of lab clamps, with swivel grips, which will hold a Fresnel page magnifier, at just he right angle. The magnifier makes the DMD look nearly as big as a 4/4 scale DMD. I'm definitely going to have to look into installing 31" monitors. Using the 24" screen, with the included tables is like playing pinball with a BB. LOL That's really hard for me to see. Congrats on getting that monitor in, and the exterior detail work reinstalled, nicely! :)
glad to hear you McGyvered a solution for the DMD for yourself, I know that's one complaint my wife has made about our Star Wars pinball, that the DMD text is small and hard for her to read.
@@cooltoy Ah, sorry to hear your wife isn't able to read that tiny DMD, either. All the stuff you need to make the device is on Amazon. Just look up Fresnel page magnifier (7x10), for the lens, and just toy arrows, lab clamps (test tube holder clamp). The arrows' suction cups hold nicely, to the plex, or rails. Position about 3, or 4 inches out from DMD, and center along sightline, between DMD, and height of eyepoint of player.
In VPX you can manipulate the tables so you dont lose that bottom cropped area. You can also resize in nvidia control panel as well. I think I'm going to stay stock playfield screen. I like ease of access to my PC inside. I'll do something like this when that monitor blows out.
true, but honestly the cropped off portion is so insignificant to me it's not even worth doing that. I merely mention it just to be up front with everyone on the end results.
I am excited to try this! I have a couple questions. How easy is it to get inside the cabinet once this monitor is installed? Are you able to use the original monitor base to angle it up or will the monitor have to come out completely? I'm also assuming you had to completely remove the original monitor from the machine, but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks for the content and always engaging with your viewers!
you can get inside the cabinet through the backside panels. Otherwise you would need to take off the trim pieces, remove the glass/plexiglass, and remove the monitor if you needed to access the inside front of the machine. As shown in this video, I'm using the original monitor base frame. The original monitor will need to come out as there is no sense in leaving it inside and then placing a new monitor on top of it.
I very much appreciate your video as I was able to clearly follow your procedure and my 32 " screen is in and works perfectly! As for the glass, I am considering ordering a piece, but I'm concerned about having the back end resting on the repositioned frame piece (with a friction fit) and screen. Or maybe I am not understanding that part correctly?
“I HATE YOU” But seriously Doug, amazing job. For a little more money Arcade1Up could have done the upgrades, and totally blown peoples minds.... BTW, I still love my Marvel Cab, but seeing what they could have done just makes me want more.... Can we say, next generation? Listen up, Arcade1Up do the upgrades in the same size cabinet! Do generic cab artwork, package all 30 games, upgrade to 1080p I’ll be first in line to buy it....and while I’m wishing for the moon... Plug in modules (or some way for idiots like me to easily) install game packages we can additionally buy. I think that about covers everything...lol Love your posts Doug...👍🏻❤️😎
I'm still personally shocked Arcade1Up didn't at the very least include internet connectivity and the ability to download and purchase new tables on their machines. Seems like that would have been a no brainer money making option.
Hey Doug I tried the LG monitor with the Geekworm board from your other video and the screen either doesn't turn on or cuts in and out. Any suggestions?
true, but honestly the cropped off portion is so insignificant to me it's not even worth doing that. I merely mention it just to be up front with everyone on the end results.
Hi Doug, I've watched this video a few times now and wondering how the 1080p screen is working out over the 32" playfield for pixel pitch. I'm curious if now that you have had it for a while, do you want to go to 2k or 4k to bump up the res? I'm about to do this mod myself and am looking at a 1080p 75hz IPS panel, and weighing up whether to go with 2k instead. Thanks, and great videos. I've subbed.
I got rid of this machine a while ago now. But when it comes to virtual pinball I’ll tell you higher frame rates will give you more enjoyment and play experience than higher resolutions will. So if I prioritize getting the highest frame rate monitor you can for your budget and that your pc specs can handle
Great mod!! How's the angle and depth of the play field feel? Are you getting any reflections off the tempered glass or between the 32" screen and glass that make it harder to see the play field? It looks great! I just got my pc and vsdisplay for stock 24" at 1080p and extra back screen monitor installed in the cabinet. Connecting the buttons and plunger this weekend. Will seriously consider updating to 32" in the future. Just worried about angle, depth, reflections and glare.
The angle of tilt is almost the same as it was for the stock monitor, so no complaints there. Also zero issue with glare or reflection from the new piece of glass.
Before i saw your live video and you posting this I was trying to figure out what monitor I was going to go with. Asus has a thin body 31.5” (found on Best Buy) that I was thinking of using. Seeing the 32” I see you used, I wonder if the .5” less would be just enough where you wouldn’t have to uncase it.
31.5 might be the magic number for those of that dont want to pry the bezels off. It looks like most 31.5 screens are 2 inches less in height compared to the one used in this video
@Josh Hundley it'll will be a case by case basis since all monitors are made differently.. I contemplated using a few other different monitors but had to turn away from them since they had their HDMI input ports on the sides of the monitors, and I knew that would be problematic for the install. Lots of little things like that I had to keep into consideration. Though you may very well get lucky and find that you don't have to de-case that particular ASUS monitor. If you get it, let me know how the install works for you as I'd be interested to know the end result.
Thank you for these Arcade1Up pinball videos. Currently with my Marvel machine I have done your first two videos minus the SSF using all of the same parts. The Amazon links are very helpful. I'm currently waiting for my backglass monitor and the 32 monitor. I will be doing those two mods next. I have question on your power management. Are you still daisy chaining off of the stock power supply with those splitters to power the backglass monitor and 32" playfield monitor? My stock power supply is currently powering the DMD and playfield monitors as well as the sainsmart board. Thanks again! These videos have been inspiring.
I was really dissaoointed how washed out the screen on my Marvel A1up pinball machine. I don't mind the smaller size, but the screen quality is trash. I may try this upgrade, but am worried that the washed out look will carry over to the bigger screen
Dying to know... what did you do with the stock monitor?? I'm about to embark on this and looking for ideas on how to put that to work. Thanks for the great videos, they've been an extraordinary help getting this cab converted.
Thanks for the video! I just ordered this game and the 32" screen upgrade looks like a must. If I take a stock game can I add the larger screen? Will it go to 1080 or stay at 720? Or are their other pieces I need to add? I have some videos to watch through!
if you keep the stock PCB you will need a geekworm adapter to convert the LVDS signal to HDMI. You will also need to reflash the PCB to get it to work properly. I replaced my PCB with a PC as shown in this video.
I used the geekworm v20 hdmi adapter. Had to add the teamencoder screen fix file. Then it worked correctly. If you are keeping the pcb stock, definelty would suggest an upscaler of some kind. I used the mCable, about $89 on Amazon. Upscaled it to 1080p and added anti aliasing to smooth out the graphics and jaggies. Looks way better. Cheaper option than a pc, and you are wanting to keep the pcb.
Please do a video on how to install the back glass monitor, and how to set up your computer to be able to use both monitors. Also,. what pinball software are you using and let us know how you mapped everything out to get this awesome setup. Seems as though many people are not sharing their knowledge to dumb people like me.
@@cooltoy is it possible though? I prefer the Arcade1Up games WAAAAAY more, but the AtGames play field setup. Just wondering if I could get the A1Up setup for me with only installing the monitor you referenced. I guess I would need a LCD controller?
it's possible, but you would need other things like a particular geekworm lvds to hdmi adapter and the arcade1up pcb firmware to be re flashed with a custom build.
In windows 10 you can not scale below 100%. In VPX you can adjust the table size though and prevent the bottom from being cropped, but honestly the cropped off portion is so insignificant to me it's not even worth doing that. I merely mentioned it just to be up front with everyone on the end results.
do you have another video that explains the hardware in this build in more detail? I was wondering what kind of controller board is making your buttons work? Is it some kind of USB connection to your PC?
CoolToy, So the moral of the story is... Buy the AtGames Legends Ultimate Pinball when it becomes available again :) I see what you did there :P Just Kidding :) If I was into modding, this is a great upgrade vgv
Doug, how did you actually de-case this monitor? I've got the unit, and there is one screw on the back next to the HDMI, but I assume I've got to pry it open? Where did you start? Bottom? Any tricks or "watch outs" to know about?
I used a thin flat head screw driver to start prying off the out casing. Just slowly working my way around the monitor in circular fashion until I was able to pry off the bezel
@@cooltoy Awesome. Thanks for the fast response. Done and done. For anyone following, it's easiest (I think, at least on mine) to get it off at the bottom once you do a once around with a very very thin screwdriver. There will be some snapping sounds as the plastic catches disengage. After black casing is off, you then also need to remove outer silver frame on the edges to get it to fit in the pinball unit. Remove the black tape to get at the outer silver frame and then stick the tape back. You can sort of see how Doug did this at 2:05 (black tape shows signs that it was unpeeled and then re-stuck on after) and when you are done it will end up looking like it does at that time stamp. On my cab, I also loosened the top four screws just a turn to give some extra room - otherwise my monitor wouldn't quite fit (even with the "diet plan").
@@dimmydinosaur5571 I got all the way to the point of decasing everything and loosened the top screws on the body but it still feels tight. The screen is so thin and fragile I think any bending or pushing may crack it trying to get it in. Was it difficult for you to get it in such a tight space
How are you liking this addition? Still dig it? I am still using the stock monitor with my gutted popper 1up. Sometimes I think it is not necessary, some days I think it would be awesome. My only problem is I like the deep recess of the 24" I don't want to do the effort and wind up not liking it. I guess I can just lay a monitor in there and see if I like it.
I love it personally, but to each their own. Do whichever you feel suits your needs the best, I don’t advise on investing time and money towards a mod if you yourself don’t feel you NEED it.
@@cooltoy I know, I just wondered if you changed your mind. Your first 32" concept you seemed to be for the 24". But did you not have both cabs at that tiime? It seems like a good mod because the backglass is nearly as big as the playfield, sometimes it looks bigger lol
Hey Doug - followed your video and everything was as simple as you showed. I’m noticing some tables in Future Pinball now look pixelated. Is there any software setting adjustments you recommend with this monitor? Thanks for your videos, they’re great!
Double check the resolution setting you have for the playfield inside Future Pinball. Or check to make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your graphics card.
Question for those who are really intelligent concerning virtual pinball machines. Would this monitor upgrade work along with the current software used by Arcade 1Up? Cooltoy mentions that he is using a computer. Also, I do not know how to get these pinball tables downloaded on my computer. Seems as though many free sites have been taken down. Please, any help you can provide would be great.
I read in the comments that you have this 32" monitor plugged in separately to a power strip; When you turn on the power strip, does the monitor turn on as well, or do you have to take an additional step and press a button on the monitor or a remote to turn the monitor on?
You are using Steam to run your tables right? I thought I heard you say that before..? Id love to know exactly what youre doing to power on and off the PC etc. I know you can boot into steam or big mode.
Hey, Is it possible to show how you actually connected the monitor to the computer inside the machine? I'm not an electrical guy by an means. I still haven't picked up the initial pinball machine, but I plan on doing so very soon.
Do you think it would fit if you leave the thin metal rim around the screen on after decasing the main plastic frame? I’m scared of cracking the screen without that on because of how fragile it is. It’s already a tight fit while loosening the sides. Seems like you need to be very delicate lifting the monitor to get underneath for access.
So I noticed while rewatching this video (i'm installing my 32" tday) that I'm seeing a colored DMD while playing FX3 tables. What did you do to make that work? Something with Freezy and Popper? Just curious as I'd like to do that as well. Thanks!
The stock monitor is 1080p but was resigned to only outputting 720p from the stock hardware. I showed in previous videos on this channel how to hook up the stock monitor to the pc and what it looks like running 1080p also on this channel if you want to see that.
@@cooltoy I watched those videos as well. I figured the stock pcb couldn't run at 1080p. I was just being hopeful. Would love to upgrade the monitor and keep the pcb stock and run at 1080 but that's just asking too much 😔
@@cooltoy true, but just wondering if swapping in a larger display would improve the visuals over the stock display with the same PCB. Also, are you able to get the solenoids to work with the PC?
I can confirm that the IPS 4k version of this monitor fits. No need to loosen the side screws either. I think I am going to install some L brackets on the corners under they lock down rails for the glass to sit on.
So I'm not too tech savvy so please forgive my ignorance, but does the PCB, the stock monitor or both hold the res to 720p. More directly, can one improve the resolution with the stock PCB with a better monitor?
the stock arcade1up PCB is what is holding the display output to 720p. The stock arcade1up 24" playfield monitor is 1080p capable, yet only displays 720p when connected to the stock PCB due to the preset output coming from the PCB. You can not make any changes to the Arcade1up stock display resolution while maintaining the stock PCB.
I know this video isn’t about it but I was wondering your opinion on buying a full size pinball machine from xtremegamingcabinets. They used to be called Retroplay. They’re a company out of Australia. I just want an himself opinion on buying the best full size vpin and I trust your opinion. Thank you.
Not without using a specific LVDS to HDMI adapter board, and even then there is no guarantee it would perform correctly or look good. I would advise against it personally.
@Laser Man ended up going with the LG 32MN50W-B. Had to do the same in the video and crack the casing off but got it in there pretty easy. For a split second I halfway considered the 32" Samsung frame to avoid having to crack to casing off but far too expensive and didn't know 100% if it would fit. I love my cab now.

I’ll be first in line to buy it....and while I’m wishing for the moon...
Plug in modules (or some way for idiots like me to easily) install
game packages we can additionally buy.
I think that about covers everything...lol
Love your posts Doug...👍🏻❤️😎
I'm still personally shocked Arcade1Up didn't at the very least include internet connectivity and the ability to download and purchase new tables on their machines. Seems like that would have been a no brainer money making option.
Just perfect👌🏻
thank you so much 👍
Hey Doug I tried the LG monitor with the Geekworm board from your other video and the screen either doesn't turn on or cuts in and out. Any suggestions?
Would be good if someone made a 32inch kit for these machines. I feel the standard monitor looks just way to small for the cabinet
Doug great video as always? Any future mods to your 1up pInball?
I think I'm pretty much done at this point, not a whole lot left that interests me in terms of changing the machine any further.
Very nice mod!!!
You can alter the playfield size anyway in vpx and future so cutting off the bottom isnt an issue.
true, but honestly the cropped off portion is so insignificant to me it's not even worth doing that. I merely mention it just to be up front with everyone on the end results.
@@cooltoy absolutely sir, PLUR.greets from Spain
Thanks for the info, did you keep your atgames also or is that one gone? Curious if you have any virtual pinball cabinet now?@@cooltoy
Curious as to what your total investment was in this machine with the monitors glass and all other components.
How much $ to get you out to NJ to mod mine? Great work man - maybe one day ...
@@cooltoy I'll be upgrading to 32" then, thanks for all the tips!!
Great video. You mentioned that the custom glass had "rolled edges" Is this the same as "Seamed Edges"? If not, what's the difference?
I bought the lg32gn600b, I don't now how to decase it
Love it 😀
Thanks 😁
Before i saw your live video and you posting this I was trying to figure out what monitor I was going to go with. Asus has a thin body 31.5” (found on Best Buy) that I was thinking of using. Seeing the 32” I see you used, I wonder if the .5” less would be just enough where you wouldn’t have to uncase it.
I’ll most likely just order the monitor you used though, wife will kill me if I keep buying and returning shit 😂
If you get it, let me know how the install works for you as I'd be interested to know the end result.
hello. Great video. Can you tell us what Vdisplay convertor you are using for the monitor? Or is it connected directly to the PC?
Connected directly to the PC via HDMI
My back glass monitor and playfield monitor are both separately plugged into a power strip.
@@cooltoy Thank you!
I was really dissaoointed how washed out the screen on my Marvel A1up pinball machine. I don't mind the smaller size, but the screen quality is trash. I may try this upgrade, but am worried that the washed out look will carry over to the bigger screen
Try changing your plexi glass out for real glass first.
Did you make any other mods to the electronics? Just replaced the monitor correct? No other electronics ?
I removed the stock PCB and replaced it with a PC
@@cooltoy so just doing the monitor prob isn’t worth then?
is there a way to put a monitor in the back screen to change to whatever table you are playing?
Dying to know... what did you do with the stock monitor?? I'm about to embark on this and looking for ideas on how to put that to work. Thanks for the great videos, they've been an extraordinary help getting this cab converted.
Stock monitor I donated to a friend
I know this is quite old but I can’t find either monitors. I’m in the UK. Any others I can use? Thanks.
Please do a video on how to install the back glass monitor, and how to set up your computer to be able to use both monitors.
Also,. what pinball software are you using and let us know how you mapped everything out to get this awesome setup.
Seems as though many people are not sharing their knowledge to dumb people like me.
I’ve already done all that in other videos
Just to confirm.....You can buy this monitor and just connect it to the OEM electronics via HDMI?
no, this video is me connecting a monitor to a PC. I removed the stock Arcade1Up PCB a long time ago.
Dude, this is so badass!!! Now to just find an actual machine…
Glad you liked it 👍
To fix the cutting off the bottom of the play field couldn’t you adjust your computer’s overscan settings?
In windows 10 you can not scale below 100%. In VPX you can adjust the table size though and prevent the bottom from being cropped, but honestly the cropped off portion is so insignificant to me it's not even worth doing that. I merely mentioned it just to be up front with everyone on the end results.
do you have another video that explains the hardware in this build in more detail? I was wondering what kind of controller board is making your buttons work? Is it some kind of USB connection to your PC?
yes, I made other videos on this channel about this build showcasing and explaining every component used so far.
If I buy a 27 inch monitor to install do I need to also buy a cable to plug in the monitor to the PCB?
Awesome Doug! Now about those roms... Lol with the shut down of VPin, where else can we go for a sweet front end like that?
Nailbuster.com for the front end
@@cooltoy Thank you Doug! You are awesome!
CoolToy,
So the moral of the story is... Buy the AtGames Legends Ultimate Pinball when it becomes available again :) I see what you did there :P
Just Kidding :) If I was into modding, this is a great upgrade
vgv
The AtGames machine is pretty great too, very very easy to add a PC to that device as its natively set up to support that type of thing
Thanks!
Cant thank you enough for all of the great videos and assistance as I have worked to upgrade my pinball machine.
What would you recommend if I wanted to put a 120 or 144 hz oled 32 inch monitor in it
Doug, how did you actually de-case this monitor?
Nice!
I read in the comments that you have this 32" monitor plugged in separately to a power strip; When you turn on the power strip, does the monitor turn on as well, or do you have to take an additional step and press a button on the monitor or a remote to turn the monitor on?
Monitor comes on automatically when I turn on the power strip
You are using Steam to run your tables right? I thought I heard you say that before..? Id love to know exactly what youre doing to power on and off the PC etc. I know you can boot into steam or big mode.
Hey,
Is it possible to show how you actually connected the monitor to the computer inside the machine? I'm not an electrical guy by an means. I still haven't picked up the initial pinball machine, but I plan on doing so very soon.
Just a simple HDMI cable connection for the playfield monitor
Do you think it would fit if you leave the thin metal rim around the screen on after decasing the main plastic frame? I’m scared of cracking the screen without that on because of how fragile it is. It’s already a tight fit while loosening the sides. Seems like you need to be very delicate lifting the monitor to get underneath for access.
only way to know for sure is to try it out
Do you need anything extra when upgrading on stock pcb? Is a Geekworm LVDS needed or is it plug and play
I’m not using the stock PCB I’m using a PC
So I noticed while rewatching this video (i'm installing my 32" tday) that I'm seeing a colored DMD while playing FX3 tables. What did you do to make that work? Something with Freezy and Popper? Just curious as I'd like to do that as well. Thanks!
colored DMD was from VPX tables not FX3
But does it look any better? Is it sharper, brighter, less blurry ??
yes
Are the games running at 1080p now? Looks great!
Would love to upgrade the monitor and keep the pcb stock and run at 1080 but that's just asking too much 😔
Hello,
What 30” dell monitor would you recommend for this modification? I’m looking to use a 30” monitor and the original PCB.
Simply put, I wouldn't recommend a 30" monitor
What are the specs (or link to) of the PC driving this (that fits in cabinet) and Atgames pinball mods?
Curious how does the 32” monitor look compared to the 24” running on the pcb with the 1080p pinner mod?
PC version of Zen Studios tables will always look better than the android counter part
@@cooltoy true, but just wondering if swapping in a larger display would improve the visuals over the stock display with the same PCB. Also, are you able to get the solenoids to work with the PC?
Hi since the update on attack from Mars pinball. I haven’t been able to get video mode on fish tales table. Anyone else have that problem?
I can confirm that the IPS 4k version of this monitor fits. No need to loosen the side screws either. I think I am going to install some L brackets on the corners under they lock down rails for the glass to sit on.
What’s the model number for the 4K version?
@@andrewoxford1123 Sorry, I thought it was 4k, it is 2560 x 144. 32QN600-B
@@propwash6880 Thanks!
@@cooltoy Ok thanks for the clarification. Now I won't waste time and money on something that won't pan out. Good video BTW.
Great mod.
So what’s now driving the bigger display and how did you up the resolution from 720?
I have a PC inside
I know this video isn’t about it but I was wondering your opinion on buying a full size pinball machine from xtremegamingcabinets. They used to be called Retroplay. They’re a company out of Australia. I just want an himself opinion on buying the best full size vpin and I trust your opinion. Thank you.
Seems like a no brainer. Do you think Arcade1up will make a "legend" or premium version of these with bigger screens?
If there is money to be made, then Arcade1Up will make it
@@cooltoy their decision making has been sus on a few things so..
Can you connect this monitor to the stock A1up PCB?
Not without using a specific LVDS to HDMI adapter board, and even then there is no guarantee it would perform correctly or look good. I would advise against it personally.
Hey bud, what LCD controller board did you use for this monitor install?
None. Monitor plugs directly into my PC via hdmi
@@cooltoy Ah, gotcha. That's easy LOL. So how do you make screen adjustments? Did you leave that portion of the monitor intact?
Hey Doug. Any alternative suggestions for monitors several moons later?
I gave this machine away a long time ago, sorry.
@COOLTOY That's very cool of you. I figured it out on my own, thanks.
@@mcgenetics515 What monitor did you go with?
@Laser Man ended up going with the LG 32MN50W-B. Had to do the same in the video and crack the casing off but got it in there pretty easy. For a split second I halfway considered the 32" Samsung frame to avoid having to crack to casing off but far too expensive and didn't know 100% if it would fit. I love my cab now.
Great video! Since the monitor is 75hz are you running the games at 75 fps?
Yes I am
Maybe I missed it but obviously I need a new piece of glass after modding to 32”. What size is recommended?
It’s at the 5:32 mark in the video
@@cooltoy Thank you!!
I’m also using a stock Dell 9020 desktop for my setup. Did you use the stock graphics card it came with or did you install something else?
Nice setup! Mind sharing what graphics card you chose?
