@@rogerbuds19 I know....the tour was still in support of nevermind. Sonic youth was on DGC as well and asked nirvana to come on tour to help support the upcoming nevermind album. Cobain in an interview said that when they got back to the states from that tour it was like Beatle mania it was nirvana mania and Thurston said that during that tour it shifted from sonic youth being headliners to nirvana being headliners....he was joking of course as sonic youth remained the headliners but ment it in the sense that nirvana's popularity had grown so much over that tour

The scene at the end with Kurt and Kim dancing on the railway track is very moving. Kurt seems so free of the inner turmoil that would go on to consume him. It's strange now to see him like this just before it all went stratospheric. Who could ever have known in the summer of '91 what was about to happen to change music and culture so decisively in the year that followed? Good times.

@@rollinstoned9816 What happened is that music is not as valuable as an entertainment source, as it used to be. When I was in Jr High and High School, I would get high and put on an album and just sit and listen to it. I would pull out the insert, read the lyrics, and linear notes. I would look at the art, and it was all an experience. I can't imagine a High school kid today doing that. Music is just some shit you get for free and play in the background while you look at social media, or play video games. It holds no real value. You dont have to seek it very hard. The adventure of life was killed by technology. Just my opinion.

@@rollinstoned9816 I think you just looking at the wrong place. You have more great bands between 2000-2020 than ever ! The problem is now, medias nevermore show you what's new and amazing. YOU have to search for great artists, whatever the music style.
Because the artists that you may love are no longer putted at the front of the musical charts.
Ps : Punk and Grunge are not dead, they're returned where they birthed : The Underground scene !
