This video describes the features of our new Stainless Steel Distiller. It can be used to make distilled water, essential oils and more.
Here are a few of the key points:
The entire still is 100% food grade, 304 stainless steel.
It's an 8 gallon Boiler with a 2 piece column / condenser. The column and condenser both fit inside the boiler.
The boiler includes a fitting for an electric heating element as well as a 1/2" NPT fitting for a stainless steel thermometer. These items are optional.
The domed lid includes a fitting for a 5psi safety pressure relief valve, which comes with the still. It also includes a fitting for a pressure gauge, which allows distillers to keep an eye on pressure during distillation runs.
Additionally, the column is compatible with Clawhammer's unique column thermometer adapter, which includes a 1/2" NPT fitting for installing vapor thermometer.
The condenser includes 5/8" barbed fittings which are sized perfectly for garden hose. The outlet is built with a barbed fitting which is compatible with heavy duty, heat resistant silicone hose.
Please be advised that distilling alcohol is illegal without a federal fuel alcohol or distilled spirit plant permit as well as relevant state and local permits. Our distillation equipment is designed for legal uses only and the information in this article is for educational purposes only. Please read our complete legal summary for more information on the legalities of distillation.
Find more details on this 8 gallon stainless still distiller on Clawhammer's website.
