So many gearfluencers praising the latest "gamechanger" nowadays , but his is a good and honest review.

I’ve been gigging mine for a while now. Great bit of kit. I was introduced to it while seeing Pat McManus (Mama’s Boys) play live. It sounded amazing. Very easy to tweak (no patches 🙌) and it’s so portable. I use the new reissued Marshall Guvnor as a boost/lead tone. It’s a Win Win

Great review John, own a Marshall superlead and Kemper and looking for something that fills that gap inbetween. Will give this a go as I like my setup just like you

John, you can set up to three prestored sounds using the preset mode. Then you don't have to turn the channel knob. You could just footswitch to your lead sound. By the way, great video!

Your review of the Sire L7 with the guitar comparison of your LP, blondie and the L7 was the best guitar sounds I’ve heard you make. The Bluguitar amp is the biz.

Hi John - enjoy my BluGuitar amp1 Silver (1st Edition) since January 2016 now in combination with the amazing BluBox. And since then I NEVER feel the need to have another amp!
As a lover of Marshall amps its perfect to get the sounds for me and the clean channel is a brilliant Fender-Style sound. The Vintage channel is my favourite, too.
Lots of fun in the future with this amazing piece of gear!

P.S.: Again - Thomas´ channel "Academy of tone " is highly recommended!

Your BluGuitar AMP1 Mercury sounds really awesome with your gear, I can see why it's your favourite now! Poor old DSL1. Sadly the Mercury is really pricey at $1200CAD new in Canada, with none currently in stock and there aren't any showing up used in our small market. So instead I bought a tiny Quilter Superblock UK analog preamp/power amp for $400CAD (£240) new, and I can get pretty good Marshall and Vox tones with that since I gotta' have that Marshall tone on a budget.

Excellent general discussion of how to maintain the old school connection to the guitar and pedal selection, yet, take advantage of the tech and brilliance of men like Blug. I will definitely start my search for the Mercury.
On a side note, have you every had a Rhys Ladipo Pride & Joy Delta Jet.pedal, or is it overrated? They are getting very difficult to find here in the US, but I found one in Bristol... I owned one a long time ago, but wasn't accomplished enough as an electric guitar player, to know what.I might of had, or What I let go...
    Thanks,
    Marc

Very Cool Thankyou. Love the sound you get out of it. Being 100W do you need a specially powerful 'Cabinet', or can get away with basic studio monitors? Cheers

It has a recording output that I run into the PC via the audio interface. Then I add a reverb & delay using plugins. End result? I get a big stereo guitar sound through my studio monitors 👍

Volume good for basement jams and small venues? Keeping up with most drummers?

Did the Marshall DSL1 give up & top itself when it saw you'd got a BluGuitar Amp1? 😅

It’s not a pedal it’s a 100 watt multi channel amp with reverb.
