One of the best watch (if not the best) on this price tag. But that "Q TIMEX" logo is just ugly imho, it´s enough to stop me from buying one :(

Just bought their Q 1975 day date reissue in gold plated stainless steel case. It looks amazing and got a lot of compliments with it. They were surprised that it was a Q Timex.
Not normally interested in chronographs - they look too busy - but this looks very nice.
This watch is stunning ! Just like the Q Chronograph I bought last year and the Marlin Chronograph released a bit later 😍 Even the new Q Timex Reissue 1971 Velocity 36mm is great 👏

My first watch was a Timex at a very young age. Which is the only age to have a Timex. Very poor value. But I still love your video, such beautiful videography.

Timex nailed this one for sure. Would probably wear too large for my wrist, but there's no doubt it looks great (love the dial and the case shape).
My dad bought me a Marlin in the 70s to encourage me to learn to learn how to tell analog time. I wanted a digital watch because the Pulsar/Hamilton digital watches were popular, and I wanted one. Now I wish I still had my old Marlin. I may have to get one of the new ones.

absolutely love this watch! the proportions are perfect, has a unique case and a dial color I would never tire of. Timex is putting out some great designs lately. i'm pleased with your giving the brand continuing love. i still have my first watch from cheldhood, a 30mm Timex from 1978 which I now wear on the underside of my wrist on a Nato for a discreet travel watch.

Wow its very nice. I bought the Falcon eye Q blue which got discontinued in 2022 or 2023 for that price especially and even generally i have never seen a dial like it. Although the material is not Rolex or GS it looks really good, the watches are pretty durable for a quartz and even the gold plated ring on the bezel has a good vintage look. I'm glad they used the blue dial on this chronograph because the falcon eye is discontinued and i wanted to buy the watch a 2nd time to keep it just incase. The bracelet to be honest is pretty bad i put it away in storage for a few months after fully sanatizing it which i due to all my watches, but when i took it out the metal on the bracelet broke apart into almost ashes sort of strange never seen that happen with "stainless steel" before luckily i just had to change to a leather strap which goes really well
I am old enough to remember Timex of the time of original Q watches. They were a company back then of vertical construction methods, everything built in house. Their movements were designed to run no matter the abuse and to be simply serviced. You simply took your mechanical watch back the the watch store and for a small fee they would replace the movement and send the old functioning movement back to be soaked in cleaner and re-lubricated and then those movements when back as service movements!
They also had the first low cost electric watches being Laco in Germany who were making electric movements, they then went on to simplify them to be ultra reliable. I still have 5 of them that are 50 years old and they all work perfectly. Timex was never as the ill-informed would have you believe a throw away watch. In fact the official service manuals can still be found online!
Also, and this will surprise many, they made a solid gold (14k) watch with an electric movement at the end of the sixties. It is a brand with a true innovative horological history!
wait this is clean, if the main face add a wave pattern on it also for this blue colour i think this would have been one of the top watches of the year
What an incredibly disappointing watch; that bracelet is peak stupidity. Proprietary straps and bracelets are rarely a good idea unless its on an already iconic design. I understand you cant always rest on your laurels, but this design is awful. Its like velcro straps on your shoes. Yeah its utilitarian and probably comfortable, but you have a dressy chronograph case and dial, then boy racer linked bracelet with a proprietary system that you cant even change out without going to a custom design or modifying an existing strap (if that even works) (checked timex store, Im not seeing replacement straps or bands for this thing there). Shame for what otherwise is an exceptional time piece
Those micro shots show clearly why its a $185 watch. The devil is in the details and that price reflects the details suck. Sorry The lines on the hands are are all over the place. The paint is sloppy etc. As long as you understand cheap does not denote quality then by all means pick one up. And before anyone says it, yes expensive doesn't always mean quality either, but historically it does and it reflects not only in watch's, but cars, jewelry homes, land, tools etc.

I saw this watch today in passing on a watch makers wrist and I said to my misses that i dont know what that is but it's definitely something serious (I see him wearing Chopard, Rolex, Patek etc). This thing looked seriously good at a short distance.

People justifying the flaws saying the price is low, come on now. The Chinese brands do miles better at the same and even lower price tags. This is 2024 - no justification for terrible QC.

$185 is an easy pass for most watch enthusiasts with a limited budget.
looks stunning, but probably going to be sold out everywhere just like the Marlin chrono. Until this day I can't find any Marlin chrono available in my country nor nearby countries. Hopefully won't get scalp-ed
Amazing watch given its price, but i'd rather pay 20 bucks more and have at least a mineral crystal, acrylic get scratched by only looking at it.
Nice enough looking but I feel that the blue is a bit too electric for my taste. Unfortunately, in your video I see misaligned second hand when running the chrono. It seems that the running second hand is spot on, though. Just like a Seiko, I wouldn't buy this either. No decent QC in lining up the indicies is a non-starter - no matter the price point. That and the useless 24 hour clock.
My main problem with Timex is that they don't use sapphire crystal so the durability of the watch is lower and I'm not a fan of scratches in the dial =/

It's a very shiny/reflective watch (too much even) but that being said, it's make a for a fantastic night time watch and the lume, surprised me.

Hello and thanks for this video. This chrono is surprisingly rather sexy. And even if it is a reissue from a vintage model, it is not so different of so many chronos from so many microbrands these last 5 or 8 years. Timex deserves better.
If they made this in a burgundy, my money would FLY out of my wallet!

I collect HMT hand wound watches. Their automatics start around $100 in India. The company was launched by Indian government 1960s and still owned by government.
Close ups show the flaws on the dial..the finishing on the right sub dial hands and the markers is bad. How did this watch get through Q.C. ?.Timex .... you need to do better.😑

The flat lugs connecting to the bracelet destroy this watch's aesthetic. It's like they tried to make it look like the VC Overseas with the dial color but then also tried to drag it through a vintage flashback. Does not work at all.
