I watched it at the age of 13 in 2016. Immediately after watching it I read the manga. I really wish they adapted the rest of the story. Make me cry again... please...
@@endy8411 Really man, I get your feeling. Elfen Lied means a lot to me, and if possible I too want them to adapt the rest of the story.
I must not have been paying enough attention, I honestly thought the whole anime only used one song just with different instruments and found it really weird. I thought it worked for motifs but just felt it wasn't suitable for every place it was used. That being said, I could've easily just missed tracks. I'm just surprised to hear that your experience was so different from mine.

I'm gonna be that one guy who says that the manga is better.
Not hating on the anime, though, they had to made do with the constraints they were given by the publisher. Sucks they had to wrap it up in such a weird way and never got to make a season 2.

Elfenlied is one of my first animes ever.
It was the reason I started seriously watching other animes then dB or one piece and naruto.
I found it on UA-cam and didn't thought anything when I clicked on it.
I thought it's a happy story but it completely destroyed my mind and broke my heart

@Matthew Hall Its overall tone is notably lighter though - more slice-of-life than the regular episodes overall.
Shiki was better..but that's just my opinion.
Its my favorite anime of all time, and ive seen a LOT. Its so unexplainable the emotions it makes you feel

I think it was about 16 years ago when I first saw Elfen Lied, rewatched it a couple of times. Now, with over a few hundred other anime series completed, I still find this piece of music one of the most memorable ones. And I don't think I will ever forget.
i first watched it when i was 13-14, i love this anime for the pure destruction they cause (besides the puppy scene, the puppy killing was not necessary and i am glad those fucking kids who did it painted the walls with their blood)
I cry every time it’s such a ride and a blessing that the show was born
I know they're very different, but hearing this always makes me think of the short Hummingbird Song from Deadman Wonderland. Both hurt my heart in a beautiful way.

I never knew Lilium could go so ham, but I'm glad it did.
Really drives the emotion of the song home with those hard slams.
Lilium is and will be one of the most impressive openings of all time. Playing this on piano would be Boss Level for me. Right now I can play the few famous keys from “Für Elise” but comes time comes success (I think I messed that one up). While writing this you just played the end part from 3:12 and it hits so hard. Like a Maelstrom of feelings. Many words, but what I’m trying to say is: Nice 👍🏻

I finished watching that series yesterday and the story is so sad. It even made me cry! 😩😩
Somehow didn't make me cry I think because when I watched it last year I wasn't really very emotional, or mostly I tend to hold back and not cry but it's sad.

I wound up finding the ending songl from Le Portrait de Petit Cossette and just looped it for hours, it's so beautiful and haunting.
I've always known playing the piano is a skill that takes years to master, but there's something about this format of seeing the hand/finger placement that really makes me appreciate just how difficult it is to do that. Thank you and love your content.

I played this piece in my first piano concerto . My grandfather was very proud of me back then and now he's no longer here to support me 😔💔 I almost forgot how to play it because just hearing this piece makes me sad and sensitive 😔

i found this anime when i was 11 (15 now) searching for the most creepy anime’s and i watched the whole thing and loved it, i listened to this song on loop. after that i watched corpse party and now i’ve branched out even more and i guess i’m proud to say elfen lied paved the way for me :’)

There are dozens of Lilium covers on youtube and I heard them all, and while they are good- this is the best imo.
Beautiful arrangement, really adds that extra flow into the piece to make it sound much more natural than most arrangements

elfen lied is one of my favorite anime, and the opening lilium and already amazing base, and frankly this is the first time that i cry while listening to it, the way you play is amazing, its reminded me of moments from the anime that are touching, poignant, and really a big thumbs up to you who play the piano wonderfully well and a big thank you for my ears too. 😁❤️
Because of my ADHD I usually can't watch series and stuff without getting bored. Elven Lied was an exception, sat through the entire thing in a few days and loved it!

I cried when I watched it.
This song fills me with so many emotions that I can't fully express with words. It hit me hard from the very first time I saw Episode 01 of Elfen Lied, and even to this day after watching the anime many more times over. It truly is a masterpiece.
Man it's weird to see people remember this anime existed in 2020. Nice cover though.
I'm a huge fan of Theishter's versions, but this one is so touching and heartbreaking, gentle and epic at the same time. I still can't forget Lucy and Lilium, even after 12 years. Maybe I should finally watch this anime again, for the first time since 2008, when I was 18. Thank you for your amazing improvisation!

One of my first animes ever. It's not the easiest one when it comes to plot/psichology/emotions variety in the show, but the anime is just pure art and it led me to watching anime up till these days. I can't believe people still remember it after sooo long. Thank you.
I watched Elfen Lied after seeing AMV with Breaking Benjamin song (Diary of Jane). 3 things happened when I saw this: I found a one of my favorite BB song, I found brutal anime, I found a masterpiece Lilium song from Elfen Lied.

This song scares me, but at the same time it seems incredibly beautiful, it intrigues me, just by listening to it I can invent a whole story of tragic love in my head. That is why this song seems especially peculiar to me, one that I will never tire of listening to, and that elevates me to the top of my deepest dreams.
