@@CCoreOW Because words matter, language matters. It's not very difficult to use "piece" and "song" accordingly, it barely requires any effort, just a bit of thought and respect for the music. It's not that big of a deal either, and I won't criticize or blame someone for making the mistake, but just as much as it's not that big of a deal to use the wrong word, it's not that big of a deal to use the correct word too.

Okay, but no joke, this is so beautiful. The echos make it majestic. The red atmosphere strikes a sense of foreboding. The music itself brings forth a feeling of sorrow, like you’re alone with no one there for you.

This doesn't induce any anxiety in me, this actually somehow calms me. I can imagine a really beautiful woman who's cloaked in black, a black bail covering her face. Her voice sounds like that of an angel as she sings you to sleep, holding you in her arms like a mother and her child.

This is such a cool song. I know everyone is giving interpretations of loss or grief, but I think it could easily be seen more as a yearning for the simplistic of childhoon and the happiness that children have when life is still magical. Once you get older, learn that everything is never simple: problems don't have 1 step solutions, society is filled with oppression, and correcting issues is either fought by the general populous out of fear of change or fear of losing power and eventually just lead to new problems because life. Even when you're happy as an adult, there's always some worry drifting in the back of your mind that you're just choosing not do deal with at that moment. When your a child, you haven't developed the ability to multitask that way so the happiness you felt then was all consuming. I think so many of us subconsciously wish we could go back to that and many that fight to re-experience it, despite how unrealistic that feat is. Innocence once lost can never be regained and shouldn't be regained. There's a reason adults need to understand the nuance and grey areas that occupy so much of the world, but that doesn't make it easier to face. To me this song is just representation of that regret of growing up and the longing for the simpler times of childhood. I think listening and feeling that regret is validating and oddly comforting, even if it only lasts until the end of the song.

In a book series I am writing, I have a character whose prophesied identity is known as Darkstar. Her arc uplifts her from a villain to a hero, only to fall back into her dark and desolate ways near the end of the fourth book. She loses herself and through losing herself she finds her final form so to speak. Her path is paved with betrayal and I could totally see her playing this song as she weaves her final devastating ploy. I find that these "anxiety" songs are the most beautiful piano songs. It's peaceful in a way.
First, those are pieces, it's not sung (although arguably the original piece IS a song in this case, but here we only have a piano version so calling it a song is quite improper).

I have a Pathfinder character who is that and is based on the concept of a cold dying star so this fits perfectly
POV: You follow the stars (your dreams) like you've always did when you were a child, but then one day, you tried to reach for one of the stars (attempt to achieve one of your dreams), but a small miscalculation took place that caused the star to fall from the sky (a small mistake), and all the stars along the others and everything starts to fall crashing down on top of you one after another (a small mistake with an unexpectedly big consequence), crushing your dreams and destroying every little light of hope and joy you had in life creating a domino effect, leaving you with an dark empty voidal sky with the light of the shattered stars on the ground slowly fading away piece by piece as you struggle to gather as much as you can to make at least a small amount of light of hope and joy until they all fade out eventually, leaving you in pure darkness

I came up with this version based on scientific facts that stars shine brightest in their supernova state which is essentially their death and on the fact that a lot of the stars we see in the sky are already gone due to them being light years away. In fact our closest star (excluding the sun) is over 4 light years away so when it dies we are only going to see it happen 4 years after it does. Enjoy this sad, little take.

This is the theme song for when the innocent, but tortured, character turns dark because they finally snapped. That's the kind of movie character this fits.
I actually like these versions much more than the originals. There's a level of softness in darker versions.
It's like someone who's burdened by the end of the world is singing a soft fight song to themselves to keep themselves going.
In short, I just added this to my comfort playlist lmao.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star was one of the only songs I learned to play myself as a small child. Now that I’m older, this version feels like it takes that precious melody and suits into wonderful dark version of the innocence I have both gains and lost.

I can imagine a really beautiful woman who's cloaked in black, a black bail covering her face. Her voice sounds like that of an angel as she sings you to sleep, holding you in her arms like a mother and her child.

This is such a cool song. I know everyone is giving interpretations of loss or grief, but I think it could easily be seen more as a yearning for the simplistic of childhoon and the happiness that children have when life is still magical. Once you get older, learn that everything is never simple: problems don't have 1 step solutions, society is filled with oppression, and correcting issues is either fought by the general populous out of fear of change or fear of losing power and eventually just lead to new problems because life.
Even when you're happy as an adult, there's always some worry drifting in the back of your mind that you're just choosing not do deal with at that moment. When your a child, you haven't developed the ability to multitask that way so the happiness you felt then was all consuming. I think so many of us subconsciously wish we could go back to that and many that fight to re-experience it, despite how unrealistic that feat is. Innocence once lost can never be regained and shouldn't be regained. There's a reason adults need to understand the nuance and grey areas that occupy so much of the world, but that doesn't make it easier to face.
To me this song is just representation of that regret of growing up and the longing for the simpler times of childhood. I think listening and feeling that regret is validating and oddly comforting, even if it only lasts until the end of the song.

In a book series I am writing, I have a character whose prophesied identity is known as Darkstar. Her arc uplifts her from a villain to a hero, only to fall back into her dark and desolate ways near the end of the fourth book. She loses herself and through losing herself she finds her final form so to speak. Her path is paved with betrayal and I could totally see her playing this song as she weaves her final devastating ploy.
The entire book series is a wip Astral Origins will be the series Forgotten Legacy is book one of the series.
Honestly I find this more Beautiful and Enchanting than dark and anxiety filled.
Someone needs to add an orchestra to this.
