- Part 2 in the series on how to film in the outdoors.
In this video, we demonstrate filming in extreme wind conditions.
The first couple of minutes are painful, but there's a reason, just keep watching. Hopefully this video helps those that struggle with audio in windy conditions.
using the RODE Wireless Go kit and the ZOOM H1n recorder
Thanks for the video. I was able to pick up one this morning at a nice price. This video was perfect as your set up mirrors mine.
Glad I could be of help.
Thanks for the video. Great contents 👍
Thank, appreciate the kind words.
Thank you for this video!
Thanks, hope it help you out?
Great test
Thank you
Thank you so much, sir for this video. I was trying to find info if I can use my wireless micro lav system ( Saramonic ) with Zoom H1N this way and it seems I can!
Glad it helps. Appreciate the kind words and thanks for watching.
Please tell me sir which one is better catch multiple person audio ?
The ZOOM in a room type setting would work the best.
this is an informative video an has helped me out big time with knowing if the rode mic can be used with a sound recorded etc - any zoom style sound recorders on a budget you would advise?
Thank you and you're welcome. I have a cheapie zoom mic, but haven't used it much. I much prefer this setup, but there are situations where a boom or zoom mic would probably be a great option.
Were you able to find a solution that fixes the constant interference hiss when the rode wireless is plugged in to the zoom?
No, I just plug the RODE into my cameras and it works perfect with both of them. Then I don't have to sync audio sets. I'm sure someone smarter than myself can set it up with the ZOOM correctly.
Why not just go from the camera to the RODE wireless? Why would you use the zoom h1n? Seems it would just complicate editing as you would have to do the layover in post etc.
I had bought the Zoom first, then my wife bought me the RODE for Christmas. The video was to show the difference between the mics. I now use the RODE for almost all of my recording. I love it. Still use the ZOOM from time to time though. thanks for asking, appreciate it.
hope that camera is ok!
Nope, it didn't survive, I had to replace it. Live and learn from my mistakes. LOL
