You nailed the, keep it simple, aspect of your build. Many people try to bring the whole house to the boat instead of just having what you need. Great build.
Very homey. I like a minimalist existence and things don't have to be fancy as long as I have a place for everything. It can just be a nail in a stud that I hang something on. That's a good way to build your bed. Most people would have made a whole base with drawers but that would have been a lot heavier.
You Sir are speaking my world! I'm a huge boat guy, but never had nothing as simple as your clean living! The favorite part of the show is River! I just lost my best friend a year ago to cancer, Haley was her name. A Blue Heeler! Your videos draws a tear when I watch! Your life would be one of a kind! I retired years to early, I'm totally in your off grid living! Thanks
Hello. I am viewing your channel for the first time. I began watching sailing UMA last weekend and fell in love with sailing. I love it! so exciting...living on the edge..the waters. Lobely❤
Been binging this whole build, and already have the rest of the videos open in other tabs to keep watching. Amazing work, man. I've got a camper van I built and have been considering buying land, but I think you've got the right idea on how to live.
Love your picks of songs...John Mallencamp, Bob Dylan etc... I've been dreaming of a little houseboat project but still just dreaming...looking for inspiration and found you on YT... awesome vids. Thank you.
Was looking at used boats today, trying to use your setup as a guide. What length is your boat? Is the length based on the flat deck, or the pontoons? What diameter are your pontoons? I know that the smaller diameter ones should be avoided, but will that come into play if it's a tritoon. Thinking of something that can handle 2 to 3 people. If it even plausible to build something the large, or should I be looking at pre-built pontoon boats/ cabin type boats, thanks for any advice
Hey scott... My boat is 26 feet. That is the pontoons the actual deck is twenty four. Water bug is the same size and they filled in a bigger cabin. Two adults living in that boat... My suggestion if you're going to have a bedroom that's separated is that you go with a larger deck. Thirty feet. Pontoons should be able to tell you the float capability minor 2,000lbs a piece. I don't know what the diameter is. HappY hunting i'm sure am excited...
@@ATAP...AnotherTime, at 6:53 in your video it’s clearly visible that there are no windows for a considerable distance, on the starboard side, from your kitchen area to well past the helm position. Is this possibly going to get windows in the future or have you decided you don’t need to see immediately to starboard when you’re under way? I’m planning my own build for summer 2024 and am honestly curious as I’m not familiar with any vehicle where the operator’s view to the right is blocked. Thanks! Overall I think the rest of your build is nice and quite well thought out.
I use the window right next to me to look starboard. The area around the counter has no windows on both sides of the boat for added structure to make the roof stronger. The driver seat is back far enough to not have any issues looking starboard. Thanks for watching ...
Good vid.
👍

How do you see through the wall next to the helm? I don’t get this layout…
There are windows all the way around....
