There is nothing like the silence during a slow snow falling..except a possible chirp of a bird during the fall of the snow...thank you for sharing...enjoy and stay warm.
I am a 65-year-old widow living in a fifth wheel with my dog Punky, right outside Chattanooga, Tennessee. You have no idea the hours of joy you bring to my life. Watching River today in the snow makes my heart so happy. We got about 5 inches but my knee prevented me from getting out in it. So, I’m living vicariously through you. Happy trails, friend.😊
Now I'll call that 'Based living! It might not be for everyone but I get goose bumps with those views and living on the water like that and watching the seasonal changes! Now if i could talk my wife into doing it would be gold..wish me luck! 🤔
Good morning Martin, have a great day and stay warm. Woke up to 17* here on the Lake this morning. Had 4" of snow here Friday, its definitely a music and movie day for me. 😎✌❤
Living on my shanty boat here in NW Florida it's40° this morning and I thought it was cold! This made it warmer! Stay warm my friend and keep the great video's coming, thanks for showing people what is are alternative lifestyle!
Hi Martin River and Cricket. Loved to see River enjoying himself in the snow, and Cricket staying warm on the heated blanket 😂. Stay warm and stay safe 👍
I think how you're living is cool, and I enjoy your videos. Nice Li'l shovel you made there, necessity is the mother of invention. As for the new holder for your exhaust pipe I just wanted to say ( and you can totally take this with a grain of salt), I've read in the instructions to putting your diesel heat together etc and have seen guys online talk about it too, that the exhaust pipe should be at a downward slope from your heater. The reason they say is that condensation builds up in the exhaust pipe and water comes out of it, and back up into your machine, and I can say on my trailer I see a small puddle of water coming out of the muffler on the ground. Who knows you may blow up the whole myth of it being that important by continuing to tilt your muffler up so I will be interested over the year or so if it simply doesn't seem to really matter. Take care, thanks, nice footage.
Hello . We hope you and yours are doing great the river looks very nice with the snow just need coffee and sit and watch everything and relax would be perfect enjoy
All those loons ❤ Will the pelicans come back after snow melts..I'd fly away if I heard that bark too😂 I want Rivers energy! What a view out the window ❄️
@@ATAP...AnotherTime always worth a watch! my own plans are slowly coming together. ice age level slowly. but moving forward, not backwards at least. i'm gonna 3d print outrigger and dock float concepts for my boat soon.
@brymstoner I had a doc mate a few years ago that would 3. D print everything very cool. However, it always seemed to be more time consuming than cost effective.. Although I think we all find the fun in doing it more the. Reason why we do it. I'm glad things are going forward. At least even if they are slow. 👍
In River's description as a superhero, I'd say faster than a flying Frisbee. What's Cricket's superpower? Lol. What a great life you have designed. It's all about living and not about possessions. If everyone had such an experience, how many would actually return to their previous existence? Thankfully, there's no worry about that happening. People are far too addicted to convenience.
Good morning Martin. I was wondering if you all were doing well and staying warm. 2 more cold fronts coming. It is cold here in Florida as well. LOL Stay warm and get supplies you may need. Take care
I'm thinking I need to get my kayak... Spend a little time in the shallows.. Than. KS for taking the time to put a comment. And I really appreciate it , kind of you
@ATAP...AnotherTime I've got too much stuff to be mobile. But have been, and thoughts of more. I had LC 8 boats, landing, with 80,000# capacity, front ramp. Was gonna build a house boat, with truck,4x and a wave runner work Tennessee River side.
Below zero here with a high of 24 today. We just have to get through the next three weeks and then we will see some warmer days in Feb. I noticed the sun has moved a lot to the north since the solstice. We have a set of high mountains to our east that act as a sun measuring device. I know that on Feb. 1st the sun will be at the bottom of Blanka peak and by March 20 the sun will be in the notch in the mountains due east by the Sand Dunes National Park. Spring is on the way. My favorite time of year.
Spring is constructly on the way... Every. Thing. I'll start turning green and lots of noises from the birds. I'm getting ahead of myself. I'm gonna go shower snow. 😆 🤣 😂. Thanks for watching very kind of you to put in a comment as always. Good talking to you.
You are welcome. Your videos bring me joy. I don't care what the calendar says; it's spring when the Red Wing Blackbirds show up at my feeders, and that's usually around Feb. 20th. I don't need a weather forecast. I can tell when a storm is coming by the birds' feeding activity. They are my weathermen and women. LOL.
Well!! I was remiss in catching this video on Sunday morning over breakfast. Darn! That diesel heater pump would drive me nuts. Good see the three of you are staying warm and enjoying the snow.
She likes When it is sunny doesn't really care about the temperature just likes the sun. She does feel that snow is water. No matter how much I tell her it's snow. 👍
I don’t know if u know this but u might consider getting some anti gel put in ur diesel for the heater so it won’t freeze up. Diesel will freeze if it gets really cold
Yes, I was going to say the same (about the bird at the beginning of your video Martin), that it's a Carolina Wren. Small, quite active bird, with bold white "eyebrow stripe", longish, thin and pointy-tipped bill, and like other wrens, a bird that primarily eat a wide variety of insects, including moths and their larvae, etc., as well as spiders and other invertebrate prey. Fun birds to watch as they poke around crevices, holes, under leaf litter, etc., in search of their prey. Also, and I hate to make another ID correction (and this is NOT meant to be a criticism at all, as I VERY much enjoy your videos!!), but those diving birds, that were in the bay with all those American White Pelicans were Double-crested Cormorants. They are very easy to confuse with loons, especially the first-year birds, as they have whitish underparts just like winter plumaged loons. Both dive for fish and spend considerable amount of time under water chasing down fish. If you can get a close look at their bills, they will show a different shape. Cormorants can often be in large concentrations (like you captured very well in your video), whereas loons are more typically seen by themselves or in pairs, and rarely congregate in groups. It's quite possible there might've been a loon or two mixed in with those cormorants, but everything I could see well were cormorants. Nevertheless, this was a terrific video, Martin; I loved all the snowy scenes (we rarely get snow here in the Texas "Hill Country"), and as always, love watching the antics of River and Cricket. River is a riot to watch. And really enjoy the trouble-shooting and "problem" solving you handle so well, with living life off the grid. Beautiful and very peaceful place to call home! Stay safe, Martin, and stay warm as well!
I just haven't make a fire, but it's still there. Turn sideways unless it's burning 🔥. We had an almost full moon last night. And with the snow pretty much was like daytime. Super bright. Always good to hear from you rusty. Stay warm bud.
Obviously, I love the snow winter camp all the time, brother But I dream about having my trawler and going from Long Island down to the keys and back-and-forth need a few years, though brother probably pass you one of the times.:. Probably the first time.
you exhaust pipe has to be pointing down, it will fill up with water and kill your heater .that's why your muffler has holes in it to let the water out. good luck
No, it's supposed to be 45 and sunny. Today's so a lot of it will go... Lots of shade though in the forest here. Thanks for checking in I appreciate it.

No snakes here! And lots of peace and quiet too, perfect for this time of year... Favorite part about winter is no bugs, no snakes...
