Nice review. I purchased a 4 headset bundle w one main base as voicemail base etc. would I be able to buy additional headsets to expand this unit?
Very good question and sorry for the delay in getting back to you according to the book, you can expand your phone system by registering optional handsets (6 max.) to a single base unit.
Does this phone come with just one hand set at the base unit? I'm assuming that sp phone stands for speaker phone capability. I just need a one person phone with these features. This is the first time I've replaced my landline in about 20 years - it was a vtech so I'm a bit out of touch.
Hi to answer your question yes it comes with one cordless hand set at the base unit, and then 4 handsets for other areas. Also you are correct sp phone stands for Speaker Phone Capability and the speaker on this phone works very well. I still have these phones in my house and use them pretty much daily, they are fantastic phones. Thank you for the question and i hope this helps!
Great review and I wonder if you can help me I have a 5 unit phone and today we got a call and my roommate answered on unit 4 and the call was for me so I picked up unit 5 when he yelled the call was for me and I pressed the the talk key but I could not hear the person and the screen said Line on use , so which key do I have to press to continue the call? Thanks in advance
Thats a good question you should just be able to hit the talk button and it should work maybe the phone got muted or something. I've never had that problem it should work if you hit the talk button.
I have a question can you change the name of individual phones that are linked up to the base of the phone and if so can you tell me how
Hi Uncraftable GYT, I had to look this one in the book, but you 100% can,
according to the book you type in you hit the menu button then type in #104 then you can type in the name of each phone up to 10 characters.
Also if you want to show the name of each phone you can turn it on in standby mode by hitting the menu button and typing #105.

I was needing to know if you can hear the message being left so you can screen the call? Manufactures tend to leave that bit of info out.
If you are meaning if you can hear it like you use to be able to on an answering machine and pick up the phone while the message was being left, you cannot as far as I know. Hope this helps, thank you so much for the question and for watching!

No, I meant if you can hear the message being left over the answering machine speaker while the caller was leaving their message. Then you can decide if you wish to pickup and T/W that caller.
Also, when you're listening to all of the messages, are you given the time, day and date of each message or only the time and day of the week like many do these days?
I'm sorry for the slow response to this AH Glasher, busy monday, To answer your question, if the message is being left one your answering machine, and you listen to it, you can decide to pick up the phone to answer it. How do you turn the ringer on
According to the manual "You can turn the ringer on again by pressing and holding 0 (it has a little bell logo on it) until it beeps.... I hope this helps :D

Hi Mumbles, after owning my Panasonic for a while, I am trying to fully understand it now. (thanks COVID!!) Can you tell me why once I have turned off the VM why it keeps coming on? I just used to use the VM with my provider but then I got it turned off. I went to look if there is a code in there but there was not. I have turned on all the 'answering machine' options (I think) to just use it as the phone system but I keep on getting, once I put the handset back that there are a VM and those words showing up. I clear it with the # buttong and it goes back to the time but after a while, it goes back. So, if I do not have the provider set up again, why does it do this? Baffled!! Please help. Thanks so much.
Thats a really really good question, Is it possible you have a voice mail still in the system of your provider voice mail? Other then that i dont know there has to be a voice mail somewhere i would think. I wish i could be of more help but that is very baffling i'll think on it and look some stuff up and see if i can find anything to help

I have the corded cordless version my favorite feature is the big red button call block I don't have a house phone but it blue tubes to my cellular phone so if I'm in the office I can grab it wherever I am at

Is there a way to change the voice ID person? The one program talks too fast and pronounce words incorrectly
I don’t believe their ears but I’ll have to look into it more to be 100% sure but I do not believe there is a way to change that sorry I can’t be of more help thank you for the comment and the support
How do I mute/unmute the phone
A very good question! The Mute button is a soft key meaning that it only pops up on the screen once you are on a phone call, when you are on the phone call it is one of the buttons on either side of the big volume button. Hope this helps!

I accidentally hit *78 and my phone went into Silent mode. Do you know how I can undo it since my calls are going directly into voicemail? Thank you.
It almost sounds like your ringer got muted? Did you try hitting the button that looks like a bell with a line through it? Beyond that im not really sure I couldnt find anything in the manual about it. Hope this helps!

Basically you go press menu #2187 find the number you want to unbox and delete it. hope this helps!

How can I disconnect the Spanish voice that always seems to follow the ENGLISH voice that just spoke to me! It’s very annoying!
There should be a menu option to turn off the voice i believe.
