A flight is a programme, which is executed by an aircraft. 5Y-KZG (Plane) performed Flight KQA-002 from NBO to JFK, and then the same 5Y-KZG performed Flight KQA-003 from JFK-NBO. The next day, 5Y-KZC performed flight KQA-002 from NBO to JFK and did the return Flight KQA-003. So, the flights door are not opened, the flight does not come to a stop....

The flight number is just a call sign, the aircraft is still the same that departed on the 28th. So KQ002 will be the call sign and the flight number when it's heading to New York and when it's returning to Nairobi it will change to KQ003 but the aircraft registration number always remains the same. Like this one in particular is known as Zambezi and its registration number is 5Y-KZG

Proud of my motherland. Proudly Kenyan. I wish someone could now convince trump to allow Kenyans in Canada to transit through the US to Kenya without requiring a transit visa or a US visa. The trips to Canada are too many hours because of the long stopovers in Europe and other countries depending on the airline. If Nairobi to JFK is just 15 hours, and JFK to Vancouver is one hour, we Canadian residents will greatly benefit. Sometimes we fly for over 35 hours and so home seems too far and too costly to travel. Citizen tv please pursue this for us. Thank you, we will boost the KQ profits further if this happens. Remember long ago Kenyans didn't even require a visa to step into the USA, we could apply on arrival. Nowadays even just transit we need a visa.
