I have looked at many videos trying to understand how to do this double half hitch knot. Your video explanation is by far the easiest to understand. You show exactly how to do it nice and slowly. Thank you so much

This knot was really getting to me. I've made plant hangers and much more complicated knots but this one kept throwing me for a loop (pun intended!). Thank you for this up close and thorough tutorial! And if anyone needs you to slow down, just tell them to go to the settings button and watch the video at slower speed.

THANK YOU!!!! Finally! Someone to slow it down and show what it really looks like! I’ve been struggling so much with this knot! I actually have been doing it right but it was driving me insane because I didn’t know why and, since I didn’t understand it, it took me a long time and lots of redos to go another direction! Now I get it! Thank you!

The “other” video didn’t explain the traveling rope. So I had been switching the traveling rope for the rope on the left and it was all jumbled. The traveling rope made it all make sense. ❤️

Thank you for this. I have a couple of macrame books that I was trying to learn from but it's so much easier to learn by watching it in real time than by trying to follow a photograph. I had the right side figured out easy but I could not for the life of me figure out the left side.
Have a great day and ROLL TIDE!!

Chelsea, this is a gorgeous stitch because of the way it defines the entire piece! I've always liked it. And I think you did an excellent job of describing it. I especially love your "Cheerios" & "pinch it" because it's easier to remember the sequence & works so well with the steps! Thanks! I just got done watching some alternating half hitch steps that I'm working into my wall hanging. I don't have a pattern yet. I kinda Luke to add as I go. But after several rows of alternating rows it's time to add THIS ONE! I can't wait! And I especially think it looks so pretty when you do 2 or more rows. I love it! ❤
Hope everything is great in Beaufort! And your family is "hanging" in there through the virus lockdown days! Keep on tieing those knots girl! We love ya! 😷❤

Why is this knot so hard for my brain to comprehend? It's so simple! I have to look at diagrams every time I make the knot. Sometimes I turn it into a 9 instead of a 6 and have no idea how it happened. Yes, I am still getting started with macrame. I've made a very wonky little keychain, which used this knot a lot.
Thank you so much for teaching us how to do this properly. You really are a good teacher. I'm enjoying your channel!

I really like your videos. You explain the knots simple and I thank you for that. I would like to know of which knots is the pattern where it is the leading rope in the beginning of the video. It is on the left side of the macrame. It looks really elegant and I think it would be suitable to make it like a background and have a large piece in the center. So would you be so nice to write the knots. I will find how to make them on the internet. Thank you :)))

Very beautiful. Question I saw a video but they go to fast and they make .it’s a double half hitch. And it goes down and then as you push it up it makes a little flower like on the left side and on the right side I was just curious if you would know what that not is called. Or if you need an idea for a video I think that would be a good idea thank you for sharing

I remember when I made my first macrame wall hanging and I had to go left to give myself more string the the middle of my piece and I got completely confused. Was fine going right but the change to go left was hard.
Also I am getting married in about 5 months and was thinking about making a macrame hanging for my arch in the shape of a tree. I have only seen this done on round pieces. Do you think it is possible to do it on a straight dowel rod?

I'm really looking for someone that can zoom out more and really slow down each step with hands out of the way. I loved the hooks and pinches that was extremely helpful, but I left like your hands were in the way so I couldn't tell if you were looping over or under. If that makes sense lol anyway still love your videos I'm just frustrated with this knot ugh
