    One of these times you'll get one of these expensive Gems and it can break when you hit or fall... and then, that's a mess.

      😂 It happens less than you think. I put all our display up (Down to Earth Rock Shop) and I’ve only dropped one maybe once every 3 or 4 shows. I have only broken one in the last 3 years. We have a large triple shelve display so we have a lot of rocks out on stands each show.

    NO, some reptiles can only see images that are moving, so it is reasonable to postulate dinosaurs also relied on differentials in images to see objects, in fact your eye is always jittering (saccadic eye motion), without that motion you would also not see objects

    I heard a while back the Chinese govt was really making it hard to get turq out of the country? I too love Chinese and would say alot of it is as good as or better than most domestic. Some people are selling it for more than high grade carico or Damali,crazy .

    • @lapidarydave
      @lapidarydave  2 роки тому

      Not too sure about the Chinese turquoise thing I have a lot of friends to get it quite often and easily throughout the year however I wouldn’t be surprised if what they were buying somehow or another who is through the government over there or at least buttering their biscuit I’ve definitely seen some Chinese high and turquoise that goes for a lot more than some high-end American and quite often it’s definitely worth it

    • @AnthonyRomero-zr2ww
      @AnthonyRomero-zr2ww 2 роки тому

      @@lapidarydave yeah I didn't know what to make of it either but I definitely didn't think it was too out there. I found a Chinese site where they had some nice nice bigger chunks but again I wasn't sure of how it would look upon arrival if I'd even get it after payment. Good vids sir keep it up.

    • @AnthonyRomero-zr2ww
      @AnthonyRomero-zr2ww 2 роки тому

      I can say from experience be careful buying online the color shown tends to be different from what you receive like usually makes them look way better than they really are. Again from experience if you can find a good dealer that won't do you dirty . However again in my experience taking some losses is part of the learning curve . Another one is what I would do if I was you if you plan on cutting and polish your own stuff is get some less valuable material and practice on that till you get better nothing like seeing a first time or few first cabs that in hind site you should have approached a bit differently. Some sites will say they have all this lander blue natural and maybe they do I can't say they don't but from what I understand all that was ever mined from that one was well documented and only so much came out of it so are they being shady idk but it's a lot of money to spend if it isn't what they say it is. Some dealers will pass on what they were told and got burned without really knowing and some will just burn you ,again it's a big big world the turq is so many different colors from so many different mines , natural,stabilized ,enhanced and just straight up plastic. Good luck to you sir hope you can get some quality stuff for a decent price from a good good seller.
